Good on the daughter for standing up to her mother and going for the tube rather than risky surgery. Even if it's a little, and the mother sadly will be haranguing the daughter for months, it's a step in the right direction.
The amount of mothers who give trauma like EDs to their daughters because they refuse to deal with their own trauma is insane. Even if this girl doesnt have ED now, she is on her way to develop it or a bunch of other horrible things. Our worst issues come from the traumas those who raised us give us.
sounds like my mom. A couple months ago she told me i needed to loose some weight, i checked my weight and turns out i had lost 5kg since the last time i weighted myself
Yeah of course Dr Manning thinks she knows how to diagnose an eating disorder better than the psychologist. Pretty obvious when she happily ate the burger that she wasn't anorexic.
9:23 *puts on sterile gloves* *immediately touches sleeve of patient with sterile gloves* idk about you guys, but i dont think the gloves are sterile anymore
I just went thru my 69 yr old father going thru kidney failure, 24ish hours away from death. I’m now super sensitive to kidney failure. He went so downhill in the days leading up to his hospitalization but we still thought he was ‘himself’. He was REALLY not.
The least the son could have done, was cared for his mother more. She cared for him his whole life, the least we can do is care for our own mothers. Yes and I understand if you had a horrible mother, she can stick it. I’ve that with my “ father”.
Look, I think the mother is promoting some dangerous ways of thinking in her daughter, projecting her own insecurities. But I have to respect the fact that she let's her make her own choices with only minimal pushback. Her concerns weren't entirely misplaced either, but how she communicated them and the place they were coming from. Because yeah, maybe heavy greasy food isn't the best choice when already dealing with nausea. And the daughter should consider all the risks, social, physical, emotional... Of both surgery and the tube. Kudos to the writers and actors on this one
As someone who has had a feeding tube it can make people stare but it also becomes something you get used to and living out o a hospital with it is better then the ar worse options without it

I can’t with this mom. I can’t stand her. Basically all i hear is: “Appearance, Get thin, i’m always right.”

3:36 😂😂😂 “what did you give her?” “A tictac”
I know manning isnt talking about whats right or wrong when she herself ignores patient and goes for what she thinks is right.
Nice son! Mother has cancer but he hasn’t spoken to her in about 3 month!!

That's why she wears gloves, that she wouldn't touch her sleeve with her bare hands.
@@Dracaenamarginata850 sir are you aware of the use of sterile gloves compared to regular gloves?
@@ImTheJellyMan Don't they all need to be sterile, changed after some while?

I have partial kidney failure (3b). A friend of mine had complete failure during pregnancy. That was about 15 years ago and she is still fighting it.
Im so sorry💔 is he okay now?
OH BALLS 3:44
Dr. Manney is so over the top, like she knew like what going on. Instead listening the other doctor diagnosis.
This is also a continuation of Chicago police episode, Dr. Dean Rivel is the culprit.
Is that special of 3 episodes?

Throughout her presence on the show, Manning annoyed me. She's always wanting to be Lil Miss Ethical thinking she's better than everyone 🙄
