- LYFEEeEeEeE gang omggggg it’s a been a long 34 days with no service. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to upload this vlog before we went out to sea service went out sooner than I thought. I’m literally just getting service and checking in with y’all was my top priority I hope y’all are still here 🤧. Yesssss!! I absolutely love this for you!!! My same goal was to switch over to SIU I’ve done so much research! And I was wanting to go to the galley first but was told something about training before I got hired!! Stop listening to people!!! The only thing I know research is your best friend! I’m definitely rooting for youuu! Was praying on you to get into something that was going to work for you!! God is good!!! Soooooo excited to continue seeing the journey!!! Thanks so much again for sharing your journey with us and appreciate you being transparent. I’m still waiting for my MMC and figuring it out which route to go still. MSC or SIU but SIU training pay is so low
Already you been doing ya thang, hold it down for us out there. I'm waiting for my MMC to come in seems like it's taking forever, I been debating between MCS and SIU to see who to apply for when it comes or just go to the academy. Appreciate the financial motivation. Question: Being that I have NO EXPERINCE whatsoever should I just do the academy and get all the certifications or apply to a company and start getting sea time off the bat? Thanks again for all you do.

What certification/endorsement 7:19 do you need for any entry level? I’ve done a-lot of research but keep getting stuck at that part. Going to get physical soon.
Is there a specific website where you can apply for union jobs?
When you go to siu for training is it paid training?
I didn go thru piney point
From my research. The answer is no. You will get paid in 3rd and fourth when you go out to sea to get your time but the pay is expected to be very little. Like 3-4 an hour if I recall.

I’m a SU w MSC now & I really want switch to siu .. is it hard to get a job not being a B book ? & how long do you think it would take to get a ship being that all the people from piney point are getting those ships? Or do you just recommend going to different halls to try to find ship?
I’m still debating about applying to MSC cause the paid training with SIU is so low
