  • I was advised to clean a Steel Strainer that is part of the Hydraulic Oil System. In this video I find where it is, remove, inspect and clean.

    hey mate.. wondering if you can help point me in the right direction.. Ive lost a lot of power in my hydraulics. Ive done a filter change
    but no improvement mine is a DFS454.. where do i start??? hope you can help Regards Alan Acland

      I have a friend up here who also has a Dongfeng and is considerably more knowledgeable than me. I'll ask him to provide you with some advice. He may comment to you directly here, so keep an eye out please

      Alan, If the pump is hot it may be that flow is blocked somewhere and running through a pressure relief. Double check any quick-connects. Something may have caught one while slashing and they can disconnect and shut off flow without being fully apart., my zb is a smaller model, but I have a hydraulic quick release below the frame of the tractor which feeds the front bucket, I have had that come apart when slashing and do what you describe.
