We bought our 35x in 2000 and paid £1500 for it. At the time the local farmers said I had been ripped off but I wish I had bought several more back then. It has given great service and is still very original (lots of "Made in England" bits including the starter, dynamo reg. box, lift pump CAV pump etc.)

lol. Seeing people try to use wrenches to take it out make me try that for half an hour. Completely useless. I just put a piece of wire through the hole at the end of the PTO shaft and gave it a yank and it was out in seconds. You can put a screwdriver through the hole to use to pull. A slide hammer would work fine. The pto shaft can be on it and used to lever it out too.

I can never understand why they persist in fitting skinny front tyres/wheels on machines with front loaders. First bit of soft ground you try to take a bucket full across, the wheels just sink. Not enough surface area for loader work.

I'm doing my 1959 M-F 50 gasser the same way; It's a working tractor, & will always be a working tractor. I'll be using rattle cans on mine, & putting on decals also. I've had Stella going on 27 years now; & she deserves a respray for being my 1st tractor, & a damn good reliable one at that 💪💪💪. I like everything your doing to your M-F 35; She's looking graceful still. Thank You for the video, & I like your way of thinking🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🤔.

Can you at least use the tools the correct way please Sir. You had the wrench and the adjustable wrench on the bolt head backwards. Not good for teaching purposes😊😊

Thanks for sharing that knowledge John, I just acquired a similar machine as part of a property purchase nth of Gympie. It uses a red nob to engage the cutter rather than that more robust looking lever yours has and the engine is only 17.5 hp. I guess they have evolved and tweaked the design a bit over the years. We also got a 2007 Dongfeng df354 which I think is the older and bigger brother to the one you have? I'm not a country person so I have a bit of a learning curve ahead of me. 😁

John I have a 2007 Lenar LE304 I bought from my dad, 3 cylinder diesel with only 40 hours. It appears to be almost the same tractor (made by dongfeng) and I have no manual on this tractor. Being that yours appears to be the same from what I can see is there anyway I could get a copy of your manual? Or if you have a service center you go through for support or for parts I could contact? I cannot find much of any information on the my tractor, your videos have been a lot of help I’m about to do the hydraulic oil change/filter cleaning. I’d like to know at what Intervals to change oil etc. Any info or help you could pass my way would be awesome! Keep the videos coming!

Thank you John. I have the exact model you have and have decided to service it myself as well. Your videos have been so helpful. Unfortunately I didn't get the manual with it as it's second hand. I have bought myself a greese gun and have found 1 grease nipple between the 2 front tyres. Are there any others?

Did you have an inner "cup" with some holes on the bottom housing? Are you supposed to fill that inner part with oil too?

Great video mate, I agree they are a very well designed tough ride on. Greenfield in my opinion is number one when it comes to what they make and it’s durability.

Great idea to service your mower yourself. I wouldn't trust a dealer round here to do it - and this way you know its actually been done LOL

You will be a qualified diesel mechanic by the time this is over mate.

It looks like my shutoff can be removed for inspection with the tank still mounted (I hope so). That amount of stuff in the tank amazed me! And it still ran (Kind-of) anyway. Thank you.

I have the same tractor and watched all 4 episodes about fuel system. This process and an additive to make up for ULSD lack of lubrosity(sp?) will keep my old trusty running longer than me.

It is not just me🤣 I am 76YO and sediment bowls have been the bane of my existence! They have leaked on lawn mowers, garden tractors, tractors, and more. You want to take them off and clean them out, but they always leak when you put them back. Patience is not my middle name. There must be a better way.

Good stuff mate, although you’ve got too many work related toys! I don’t even own a mower. That said the only grass here is on the nature strip and I get the neighbour to mow it 😂

I have had a very similar experience , my 1st Greenfield was second hand early model , it was an amazing mower , years later I purchased a new Greenfield fastcut 32 evolution with a Honda Motor . Absolutely brilliant mower still going strong ,over 15 years old. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 100%
