This entire series was very helpful to me, you are the only one showing how to get at that screen. I skipped it on my 50, doing it now on my 350 (just changing everything at this interval) and will finally be able to get at it. Thanks!
I can't thank you enough for these videos. I recently bought the same tractor and was agonizing over the 50 hour maintenance job as I really didn't know where to begin. Thank you for the clear, concise demonstration that I will reference a few more times before taking on the task this weekend. Outstanding videos!
I just did this service on my tractor today. It's only 5 bolts to remove that loader frame bracket to get the suction filter out. It added about 15 mins to the job but made it very easy!
First, let me say how thankful I am for my 15000 lb 4 post drive on lift. Great investment :) I am used to draining larger capacity vehicles and I use a concrete/mud mixing tub. Low profile and holds about 7-8 gal. The only problem that incurs is that they are nor super stiff so caution must be used when pour it into suitable containers. Good video and I can't wait til I hav 50 hours on mine. Right now I am at 10 minutes
Very helpful! Thank you, Mr. Gil. Your patience is commendable. That vacuum filter looks like a pain! I would not have attempted this on my own, but now I am ready:)
Had to angle it out toward the end of the removal. Installation was the same way due a structural support. The video shows the filter partially flattened. That was from the interference with the support.
@@MrGil-tl8hk Yeah, that's what I had to do too. Funny, the could have used a filter just 1/4" shorter or so. I get it though, it's a readily available filter on the market.
Could you please tell me the exact socket size and what to use for the 2 engine oil drain nuts to loosen them, also for the rear nut for the transmission and three nuts for the front axle ? Please do reply back with socket sizes and tools needed.
7/8” for engine and transmission drain plugs. 14mm for front axle, 12mm for final drive plugs. I would highly recommend getting a flat surfaced vice grip for those.
Around 8 gallons. And I looked at the sight glass to confirm. Helps to run it after a fill, work the hydraulics then shut it off and monitor the site glass again and fill a necessary.
I haven’t found one yet. I’ve had to shop around and piece it all together or ask a dealer to collect the filters I requested. There are a few packages that have most of the filters but not all. You’re welcome and I hope the video helped you on your tractor!
If I saw all that material in my clean out, it would be taken back to the dealer to determine whether warranty work is necessary. There shouldn't be that much material.
Believe it or not, that filter was a bonus change and wasn't recommended by the service manual or the local dealer but I decided to do it anyway. I figured it was part of break-in so I didn't think nothing of it but I'm glad I did it! I'm curious what I'll get on the next filter change. So far though, the tractor is running great and is almost ready for its next maintenance interval.

Glad the video helped!
Yeah it's a pain. I can't get mine out!!
@@chadg2608 mine didn’t come out straight, it’s at a slight angle. When I pulled mine out it did rub the side of the filter but it’s negligible.
@@MrGil-tl8hk ty sir, I appreciate it. I finally did end up getting it. They definitely could of made that a better way.
Thanks much!! Appreciate the video.....I learned a ton and will make my life easier tomorrow.
Yours is the only video I've seen that even touches on the suction filter.
I sure would like to know how you got it out of there....

Thanks for making this bro! I'll be doing mine in a week or so.
You’re welcome, I hope this helps you out!
@@MrGil-tl8hk It did, I woulda had a hard time with that trans filter. Now I know

Hi there nice video but I still have a question what's the hydraulic oil capacity and how can I know if I need to refill it thank you

Great video. Where did you find all of the filters? Go through the dealer?
Yes, went through local dealer but will shop around on the next one.
How did u end up getting the transmission filter out?? I'm in the process of doing it now. I can't get mine out.
Thanks Mr Gil Good job do you know if there is a kit that has all filters and oils needed for the 50 hour service?

I still am having trouble removing that filter even after taking linkage off. How did u get the filter out without damaging it?
I had to pull it out at a slight angle toward the end and there was a little rubbing. Installation was the same way.
the real test would be to do again and see how much metal is in there. Though there should be some that is a real lot.
Plan on doing it on the next service!

Terrible
I know… it’s a lot of work when done right.
I just got a 2023 2638 HST with about 10 hours on it. Just wondering if all that metal was normal break in or a sign of something bad to come.?
I believe it's part of break in. I'm rolling on 180hrs and have zero issues with the transmission.
