I just finished mine! took about 2 hours the kit was perfect and take your time no issues. I did a HD modular helmet. the knifeless tape is a pain in the ass
Just done the left side of my AGV K1S in 1 piece, it took me like 5 hours 😭, will use the second piece to do the other half next week, so I’ll just have a seam along the Center of the helmet, never again
Hey brother, I love your video you really explained it well and easy, my question is where did you order that vinyl special for the helmet and are there options where you can put your own image? Thank you
Where do you get those helmet template? Because I’m looking for one where I can test and play with vinyl instead of wrap. I don’t know if both of them make any difference depends on the design or whole helmet? I’m so curious where to find template that I could try and practice with it for fun. Do you have video or how to undo or remove the wrap? If you get bored with it.
We are bikeskinz.com and we create helmet wraps as a custom item. We don't give out or sell templates though. Reach out and we can price you special test pieces if you like bikeskinz@bikeskinz.com Also we don't have a video on removing a wrap, but you basically peel it off, and then if there's a little adhesive you can use a product like Goo Be Gone or Goof Off. Walmart and Autozone sells it.
This one was slightly different regarding quoting because the customer also ordered a full wrap for their bike in this theme. But it's normally in the $200 range for a custom design if we ship the wrap to you.
How’s the longevity of the wrap? Does it start to pull away around edges and curves? Plan on protecting my Pista GP RR but everyone is saying not to wrap it because of said issues.
Hey great vid man! Just priced someone to wrap my old helmet but came in at $500 which is worth more than the helmet😂😂 I’m going to give it a go myself. Do you think it’s possible to do it it 2 pieces? Mine is completely smooth with no high points or comms on it
There's still so much white showing at the edges of the wrap! If I was a customer I wouldn't be happy with that at all. It's good to see the process, but the finish seems subpar.
Do you mean at the hinge? We recommend customers to wrap a black helmet usually, unless there's a lot of white in the design. That way around trim pieces the edges will look better. There's obviously no way to remove rivets or comms from a helmet like this so it's always a challenge. Glad you enjoyed the video sir.
Who in freak would want a helmet wrapped? In less, it is for bike shows or just a showpiece. The regular helmet gets knocked around some, and the vinyl will be damaged in almost the blink of an eye.
Nice work - I had no idea these were so time consuming. Getting ready to do a wrap myself, so thank you for the detailed process and tips
You are so welcome! we're probably going to be posting another one this week, so make sure and subscribe.

In Canada we have to show the DOT logo so guessing use finishing tape to cut out?

You have that homologation sticker inside the helmet also, and there you have also the info regarding the year in which the helmet was manufactured.

Hi, Excellent video. Do you use 3Mwrap vinyl?
We have used both 3M and Avery, and now most shops are more comfortable with the latest gen of Avery due to it's performance.
Hey dude nice work. Bout how much did you charge for this or what does it cost to get done usually?

Hi. Is possible to apply an clear layer to keep it longer?
Sure, they make a clear bra type material for that, we don't carry it though. I'm sure you can find it on Amazon though.
@@bikeskinz Thanks for answer. Is the same that in the paint? With acrylic clear?

Well there's different wrap materials out there, 3M and Avery do pretty well if you use Adhesive Promotor.
Where did you get the design from

How long did this take in real time?

I know, I did more reveal on the full metal jacket one.
