Yes, you did pretty good. Years ago, I use to mount flexible printing plates on big cylinders using "sticky back." I'd start on one end and get the sticky back mounted straight, and then remove the vinyl backing as I went along. Work the sticky back with your fingers, then pull the backing off. Keeps the bubbles and creases out easier. If you did it a lot, you'd get good at it. Your probably thinking to yourself "why am I doing this, it's a pain!" I'd put a coating over it to keep edges from peeling up. Good video, good job. Hi wife.
I'm planning on wrapping the shaker scoop on my Dodge Challenger today. You taught me some great tips! Just take your time, don't get upset at small setbacks, and just stay with it! Great video; thank you!
Nice job for your first try! For the holes you cut in the middle, make incisions in middle first in order to release the tension. Then you can cut out the edges easily
@@yashdhawade5341i was gonna say. make tiny middle slits, almost and ex, wrap it under the edges (in those holes) as you did the outer edges. and then cut on the inside, the excess. but for beginner it’s really good
it looks like you may have watched a few more videos than i did. i just wrapped a couple of really funny shaped strut tower brace crossmembers inside my engine compartment. and while it looks good, i know the guys at the BMW shop will laugh at me next time i bring it in to have something done. haha.
Okay I now realize that I ordered the "sticky back" for my car. I didn't realize the difference. I'm hoping I won't have to use the heat gun for my purposes but I will have all tools & gun ready to go, thank you great video and great job 😃👍.
U did great only thing I would of done when it came to the vent is cut a slit down the middle and folded those end over in the inside the trim that but overall great job
I was thinking cut the slots on each side and let the excess drop down to cover the bottom portion. I’m sure easier said than done and I have worked with this. I was just thinking that would’ve looked good as well. Nice job!
I'm going to attempt this same exact process with high gloss 7d carbon fiber wrap on my 2002 Yamaha Waverunner GP 1200 R similar lid of the front. All sun damaged
Pretty nice job for the first time Phil. I tried something similar once & I sealed those cut edges with a tiny amount of Krazy glue. I laughed after some time everything started to slightly peel except for the glued edges.Haha!
Hi. That’s the way vinyl wraps are. Once heated them become very stretchy and malleable, that way when stretching around edges and corners they cool to their original stiffness and really stay in place. At least that’s what I have learned recently. From what I have learned ppf seems less forgiving when being stretched. But there are so many different types of vinyl and ppf. Each has a learning curve. But overall this vinyl is cool stuff!!
I've been hard modding xbox 360's and I got a few for $10 per. Plastics are scuffed up. Hoping to wrap them with some of this stuff to make them look better for resale.
Not sure. With atv plastics they flex and bend a lot and lacquer or clear coat could crack and chip over time. So gas this wrap has held yup really well. Plus if it starts to peel or gets damaged I can just peel it off and redo it.
No. Adhesive and moisture do not like each other. Tint you can see the moisture trapped and can remove it. Plastic panels like these you need to know what they are made out of so you can prep them properly for vinyl or buy specific vinyl for them.
PPF (Paint Protection Film) also is a wet application. I have found that plastics like this definitely red to be cleaned really well for proper adhesion. So far these vinyl is doing great on the atv!
Hi. Do you mean does it make the plastics stronger? If so, no it doesnt. its just for looks. but it does protect the platics form minor scratches which is good.
never heat it while it’s still on the backing paper man. that activates the adhesive and sticks, potentially won’t hold as long as it would if you didn’t heat.
Exactly! And you don't need to use just a little bit of heat to shrink. You have to heat up the whole thing, that's the only way to fully activate adhesive if you want it to last for long time.
For the interior are there any products that can be used as a all in one that will clean and protect ? Where I used to work they would use a dressing for everything but wouldn’t clean dirt well, I like to use a interior cleaner and cleans well but takes forever and adding dressing after takes crazy amount of time , any advice is appreciated thanks
So we have used this before and its great to clean nd condition. But its not a heavy duty cleaner. If the vehicle is not that bad use this amzn.to/420lEIR
Hi . I tried to send you an email but gmail said it failed, something wrong with the address, where can I contact you ? I have a question regarding ceramic coatings, need a help . thx

Awesome! Hope it comes out great!
I think that came out really nice, especially for your first time 👍😁
Great video Phil definitively have more patience than me. End result looks good ,definitely worth learning.

Thanks! Great tips. I’ll have to do that next time I wrap anything.

😁 I watched tons of videos on vinyl wrapping. I’m sure I didn’t do things correctly, but I’m happy with the results.

Hi. Thanks. Oh good idea! I’ll have to remember that for next time. 😎👍🏼

That looked really nice! Relief cuts definitely will help👍

painting slick plastic can become a disaster without lots of expensive equipment, im hoping the wrap will succeed
Hey Phil great job for being the first time doing it 👍.
That film was too ridged but you still manage to manipulate it,I can't wait to see you work with PPF that's more flex and stretchy.

Hi, I want to wrap my car grill. Do you have any tips? The bits are small and I don’t really know how to do it. Keep up the great content 😊
Hi. Oh i'm not sure yet...I have only ever wrapped these atv's. I haven't tried on a vehicle yet.
Going to order some tonight for my Honda. Very good video, sir
Thanks man!
I've been hard modding xbox 360's and I got a few for $10 per. Plastics are scuffed up. Hoping to wrap them with some of this stuff to make them look better for resale.
That will be awesome!! It should work!
You seemed to fight with it, for quite a while, but the finished product looks really good ! 👍
Oh yeah. Like I mentioned I’m no expert wrapper. Just learn ing as I go along.
Could you use a blow dryer since they produce heat or does it have to be a heat gun?
You could, it would probably take a little longer, but totally doable.
Well done man. Good job ❤
Thanks!
easy piece, beautiful flat space..Im breaking my head on a jeep rear mirror..good job anyway)😊
Yeah this piece was. But the rest was a headache! 😅

Wondering if you could lacquer over that to make it more permanent ?
Not sure. With atv plastics they flex and bend a lot and lacquer or clear coat could crack and chip over time. So gas this wrap has held yup really well. Plus if it starts to
peel or gets damaged I can just peel it off and redo it.
Im gonna wrap my Bigniu BGX ebike👍🏽
Cool!
Good job 👍
I wonder if a little bit of primer on thin areas where you want to lock it down
Yes! I had some but ran out of it. That would helped for sure. Thanks
very nice sir I m from India and you
Try adhesive promoter around edges
Yes I got some for the atv fenders.
Good job!!
Thanks!
👍🏽good job
Would using soap or windex work well? Like window tint?
Hi. I’ve tried that before but vinyl needs a dry install to be able to stretch and cling properly.
No. Adhesive and moisture do not like each other. Tint you can see the moisture trapped and can remove it. Plastic panels like these you need to know what they are made out of so you can prep them properly for vinyl or buy specific vinyl for them.

Hi does it makes any stronger ?
Hi. Do you mean does it make the plastics stronger? If so, no it doesnt. its just for looks. but it does protect the platics form minor scratches which is good.
Whoo hoo Mr Phil…You killed it Sir. Your talents grow….
"I don't do this professionally"
That's an understatement.
🤣🤣🤣
Ever thought about doing hydro dipping?
That would be awesome if I had the tools for it!
How durable is this stuff against light scratches etc?
Very durable! I rode this and washed it twice with my pressure washer and it’s still looking awesome.

@mudza92 so how come they sell adhesive spray with it ?
For some surfaces you may need an adhesion promoter to help it stick on difficult surfaces or corners and edges.
@MirandaDetailing gotcha thanks !
How long does Glossome last?
6-9 months if properly maintained
This is a lot easier to do with a helper
Very true
Subscribed I want to wrap my 500 as well
I will be wrapping my black Scrambler 500 soon!
Split the middle of that cut and wrap the edges
Sorry I don’t know what you mean…what exactly should I do?
Cut the directly in the middle of the little slots and then heat and wrap the edges of the slots.
Tony Stark showing us wrapping his next suit.
Why would you make a "how to wrap" video if your not an expert?
🤣 Why not? One does not have to be an expert to share their experiences.

Hi. Oh that’s strange. here’s my email mirandadetailing@gmail.com
Where did you get my other email that failed?
YOU DO REALISE THERES A CLEAR FILM ON THE FRONT OF THE WRAP YOU NEED TO TAKE OFF BRO
Hi. You mean on this carbon fiber wrap? If so, it’s not on this one. Some do, but jot this one. I made sure of it.
@MirandaDetailing my apologies bro my bad I've just wrapt mine and thought it was the same wrap 😅
@BoSs0nE01 no worries man. 😎👍🏼
