Happy to see you enjoyed them. I think it would be fun for you to give Last Raven another try, especialy considering how many different endings it has. You should give Nexus a chance one day too.
I kept on wishing they'll bring back some of Last Raven mechanics (booster generates heat, parts can be destroyed, weapon can be destroyed) I still don't understand why they decided to remove radiators and normal boost energy drain starting at gen 4.
I think they changed boosters so that you can't Bunny Hop as easily since it made it very hard (or night impossible without some game dev cheese) to kill the player as opposed to a player that has a limited amount of dodges with Quick Boosts in later games
normal boost drain is simplification of AC1-3 boost drain, its also to counter AC4 vast environment size, imagine having to drain energy to move at AC4 pace with AC3 energy management Boost off button need to be brought back on AC6, we can turn off glide boost to increase turn speed & free fall in AC5, though i can see why AC6 remove this feature for balance reason Radiator is A SERIOUS complaint in nexus, its the game where you will never boost simply because it will kill you, i can see it should be brought back to AC6 as "status recovery setup" but i think AC4A also don't have flame thrower to warrant a radiator?
Do hope you come back to the other 3rd Gen games in the future, Silent Line is Fun with More of the Same and Nexus really shows you how hard the formula changed between Early 3rd Gen and Late 3rd Gen, also I do just think straight up that Nexus is a good game by itself while ALSO setting up the stage for Last Raven. It provides some rather important context
I do plan on coming back to them! Not sure when exactly, but I'm also gonna figure out a new style of video till then. Because at this point, I'm not exactly new to the series anymore lol
I am personally loving silent line currently, the mission variety feels good. I fear the swap to nexus and last raven. Last raven cause its hard and nexus because its not the best and I have heat to deal with. Maybe i can play ninebreaker instead... maybe
