the netting under the shelf for charging cable is an EXCELLENT idea. Too many times Ive had luggage in the boot on a long drive, where Ive had to remove bags to be able to get to cables to charge. Underfloor cable storage is the worst idea EVER
Lovely looking car but why don't you tell us the the battery range in miles, as we don't use kilometres in the UK.Hope you get to revue the new Omoda electric soon.ive been to see one and it looks well put together.
@@AutoEV Hmm but the 85 version with 580km WLTP has simillar price to the Renault Scenic with 620km WLTP or Kia EV3 with 600km WLTP or Explorer with 600km WLTP?
Apologies, but I have the email in front of me now from Škoda that states it’s 18:00 UK time in 1st October. Electrifying also have a video up that’s live.
I'm a Skoda fan (I have a Superb Estate) but when it comes to EV's they are very late to the party. We traded our 19 plate Karoq in last year for a used 22 plate 64kWh Kona because Skoda didn't have anything smaller than the Enyaq & my wife wanted something a bit smaller than the Karoq. I see Skoda are going to launch an even smaller Epiq EV model next year but for us it's too little too late. Since we don't buy cars new we might consider a used Epiq or perhaps an EV3 in a few years time. TBH the Kona is great (apart from a stiffish ride & no spare wheel option) so we are in no rush to switch right now.
It looks as though it was designed in a different decade to the Kia ev3 - utterly uninspiring, but I would suggest they probably know their market base.
Ice scraper in a BEV 9:25 is absolutely ridiculous ,,,, it heats up very quick, and could even be preprogrammed, so no need for that ! Furthermore it adds schratches to the glass, and should never be used on any car. Use liquid de-icer instead.
The Rear looks so dated. The front looks sleek smart classy but the rear looks dated and boxy. The design language also just doesn’t connect between the front and rear. Real shame.

Front trunk is even better idea?
@@marekwitek7494 absolutely!
Nice looking car, I like the elroq! 👌🏻💯
Damn I maybe should have waited as I just ordered an EX30.
So far, so good. I can't wait for the full "Auto EV" road test,
You and me both!
Smart looking car.
Love this new Skoda Kona look-a-like. Base price is good, but comes with a very small battery pack.
How does it compare to the Kia EV3? I went to an early viewing at local Kia shop and was quite impressed by the design. Elroq looks a bit dull

How is that competition for the EX30 and the E-2008? It's 4m48. More like the Scenic and XC40, maybe even the E-3008.
That is the market sector that Škoda have placed it in and who they see the competition as. Especially as far as pricing is concerned too.

Front good - back a bit bland but inoffensive. Interested to see more
Ever read the embargo doc you signed? It’s 20:15
No, it’s 18:00. Double checked this morning.
@@AutoEV no, it’s not. It’s 8.15pm CET

@@AutoEVit’s 18:00 for the Skoda live stream. You do what you want though, the rest of us will wait and respect each other.
@@AutoEV honestly the official car launch stream is so piss poor, you're doing Škoda a service by releasing a proper video while it's still going on.

No Š on a steering wheel? o.o

Again. Škoda brand ends with Q letter. It's unique

It just looks like a BYD Atto 3.
It appears to have leaked...
Doesnt look as impressive as the Kia EV3 to me
The rear is a disappointment
Not great new 'design language' not impressive at all
Again one boring design cars..look like toys car
Always SUV:s...🥱
