  • We decided to take the plunge and buy this Nespresso Creatista Plus Espresso Machine made by Sage/Breville. This was after debating with my wife for a long time..
    Amazon link for this machine:
    amzn.to/3tkTOpR (Amazon US)
    amzn.to/3pqTLrE (Amazon UK)
    This video is my review.
    I unbox and give my thoughts on this Nespresso coffee machine.
    This is the smoked hickory colour. A colour that is amazing!! This colour does not exist on TH-cam, the Nespresso website does not do this colour the justice it deserves. So if you are looking for this colour the look no further.
    I bought this machine for £299 from the John Lewis website here in the UK.
    I give my thoughts on this very expensive machine by Nespresso. I also go through the first use of this Nespresso Creatista Plus.
    Does it stand up against the coffee that is served in coffee houses like Starbucks. Watch my video and find out.
    The times for the certain sections are below if you want to just skip to them.

    Thank you for this video. Now I'm also sure that I want to buy this one but not Creatista PRO. Americano - I can do it just by adding hot water, color display is not necessary for tasty coffee. As additional advantage - this one takes less square on the table. Difference of 300 dollars does make sense. And just for info: in Russia it's not Sage (or Breville), here its name is BORK.

      1. Perform a steam wand clean - see my other video on the channel on how to do this. It’s pretty simple to do.
      2. Only use filtered water in the water tank.
      3. Check to see what your froth level setting is on the machine. You can customise this in the different types of drinks you can make.
      Performing a steam wand clean will most likely fix this problem for you.

      I have never tried sweet creamer before..you could add it to the espresso shot then add the frothed milk on top..I normally put sugar or vanilla syrup into the coffee mug before an espresso shot, then I add the frothed milk on top.

    Thank you for your video! I’m subscribing. I am really close to pulling the trigger on this machine but I’m a little hesitant due to price. I can’t however find anything with similar reputation for less money. I’ve looked at virtuo but I don’t know...would you say with every penny?

      I don’t have any experience with the Virtuo machine so I cannot comment on that.
      The Creatista plus machine is absolutely amazing. The fact that you can control the temperature of the milk and the amount of foam/froth is worth buying if you like milk based coffee drinks. You also have the options to make different type of coffee drinks from a espresso shot to a latte macchiato.
      I was originally interested in buying the Citiz and an aeroccino 4. The price for these both items would have been around £220. After doing a lot of research like yourself I went for the Creatista Plus, as this was on sale for £299...
      I wish I bought this sooner.

    What is the difference between a long ristreto and a normal expresso? Are the two drinks made at a different temperature?

    • @VitiligoTalks
      @VitiligoTalks  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Long ristretto - uses a lot of water to extract the coffee, so the coffee is not as strong. The espresso shot uses less water to extract the coffee, so it’s much stronger in taste. You can change the temperature of the drinks to your liking from cool all the way to very hot.

    • @VitiligoTalks
      @VitiligoTalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can froth the milk up on its own. The frothing jug does have a minimum and maximum line for the milk and when the milk is frothed up it will go over this line. If you were to froth the milk twice then I am guessing it will froth over and spill. I wouldn’t recommend that.
      On the settings I use for the milk temperature it is very hot for me, and you can still go hotter for the milk temperature. As the machine does allow you to have very hot temperatures for the milk setting.
      If that isn’t enough for you then you can preheat your mug with boiling water so that your mug is warm and the coffee doesn’t lose temperature. I’ve done this a few times and burnt my tongue on a very hot drink 🥵

    • @VitiligoTalks

      To this day I am impressed with the coffee this machine makes. This is the best coffee machine I’ve ever owned. After drinking coffee from this machine you will not be going to Starbucks or any other coffee shop.
      As I said to another viewer of this video, three things you have to keep an eye on.
      1. Descale the machine when the machine tells you and use the descaling liquid from nespresso.
      2. Clean the steam wand every 3/4 weeks. This will take you like 2/3 mins to do. Nothing major.
      3. Use filtered water so that you don’t have to descale the machine as often and the steam wand won’t need much maintenance either.

    Hello sir, merry xmas to you!
    Can you steam the wand after it has self purged? I have found these wands need to be manually steamed for 10 seconds after the self purge has finished, have you the option to do this?
    Also how is your experience longer term with this machine? Any probs at all mate?

    • @VitiligoTalks
      @VitiligoTalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Merry Xmas to you too!
      The only thing you can do is do a manual self purge again. I have had no problems with the wand at all. The only time I get issues is when I don’t use filtered water as that clogs the wand up. And I have to do maintenance and cleaning of the wand more frequently as the froth levels decrease. So filtered water is a must for this machine.
      I have had zero problems with the machine, works the same as it does when I bought it. Only three things I would recommend you do when you buy it.
      1) Use filtered water
      2) Clean the steam wand at least once a month, I would recommend twice a month.
      3) Descale the machine with the descaling liquid from Nespresso, don’t use vinegar.

    • @VitiligoTalks

      There isn’t a dedicated button for an Americano..but there is a workaround, you use the espresso function first to get your shot of coffee. Then you open and close the lever to release the pod into the capsule bucket. You change your setting to a lungo (do not add a pod) and press start and this will pour hot water into the espresso shot that you made earlier on.
