I've use chicken before to some success but whilst living in tropical areas I ran over a snake on the way to a mangrove estuary. I cut that up for bait out of curiosity and the fish went berserk on it. Not an easy bait to get though, legally. Another good video by the way.
I would have to say , Blood worm's from a little island at low tide called Tempe NSW Sydney. It's a little little little island 🏝 mate but great blood worms 🪱 on her
Hey James! Long time watcher first time commenting👌 the good ol marybrinong river👌 I use bread and chicken also for bream there and janjuc worms work well also
Someone literally gave me this same advice yesterday on the water. Even as far as going back in the fridge after the Parmesan. I’ve been doing well with mullet strips as the skin holds to the hook so well. I’m gonna give this a crack though.
I live next to the Maribyrnong worms r a good bait for the Maribyrnong but you rarely catch anything in that river and if u catch something I wouldn’t recommend eating it since it’s contaminated water but either way nice video
Hey buddy good videos I been using chicken marinated in garlic for a few days I find that works good for me I got told that by to elderly guys and I have used it with good results
I had a test i did and i ended up using long shank hooks for fishing those small hooks for bream gets swallowed too easy i am yet to have a fish get gut hooked with the small long shank hooks is going on 2 years now best change i made!!!
AWESOME episode mate, always making content for us even when your in lockdown, always putting a smile on peoples faces, keep up the good work!🤙🎣🎣🤙 #FISHINGVICTORIA
@@터키어-x6l I actually had some old frozen honey soy chicken in freezer I used as bait I caught 10 decent bream and 5 flatheads. The scent really attracts them.
im new to fishing. my friends a good fisher and he told me to fish with fish meat as a bait. i went fishing with him today and i caught 2 normal size fishes
fish are scavengers and will have a go at anything , but I use chicken whether its fresh or not ,giblets heart ,kidney liver plus fish ncrustations ,peas n corn ,I've never tried gum or confectionary they're things I'd eat to keep up the sugar levels lol
How do you keep the tension on your line without sinkers? My bait always floats back towards my rod when there is no current actively pushing it away from me
Worms work a treat in the marby, the bream love the worms
Nice video young fella I’ve been fishing the Maribyrnong for over 40 years

Hey mate, what size hooks do you use to catch breams? Also, do you use a sinker as well? and what size hooks do you use to catch yakkas?
Can’t go wrong with 1/0 hooks for both species! Can go smaller for the yakkas
Great content mate, good to see you back
Thanks legend 🤙
Love it! Definitely use worms next, they work well there
Thanks Jake! Definitely going to give that a go

Where did you get the backpack from
Where did you get your rod holder brother? Great videos!
Thanks Julian! Tbh these were sitting in the garage and were there before my time haha. 😋
Complete angler sell those rod holders. They're about $15 each.
@@mashpotato472 most tackle stores should sell them. I’d suggest they are under $20 so not bad at all
Good stuff mate. Which city / area are you in ?
hi i saw you at the warmies that day when you were cleaning fish
G’day legend! 🤙
@@JamesFishingAdventures have you ever heard of sandy point? if not after lockdown you should do a video up there
@@josephhuynh-vu9274 yes I have heard of it. Have you fished it before?
@@JamesFishingAdventures yes
me and my older brother and dad used to go there every holiday and some time weekend
chicken soak garlic & parmesan cheese best bait ever.
Add some marinara sauce and that sounds like a great parmi chicken...;)
Where is this I can never find a good spot for brim
Can you give European night crawlers a go got plenty of nice bream on them like 35+ cm so
Cheese and Vegemite works good for catching brim
2.5 inch bloodworm grub

Hey bro what’s that rod stand called
Me and my family use chicken fillet for bait it's very easy 😂
Yes! Makes great bait
Have you tried mussels from a fish shop?
Not in that system but they definitely would work a treat
#fishingvictoria luv the vids
"Match the Hatch" Obviously there's a KFC or Red Rooster local, where the Bream have been dining?
Can’t beat a zinger box but a whole chook will never fail
Knew about worms but chicken? Interesting.
Both effective baits!
where is this spot?
Great vid!! First bream I caught was on some bread on a hand lure 😂. Try some red meat which would be cool to see if it’ll work!
Thanks Tim! That’s awesome! Have to give that one a go but might be a bit expensive 😂
first bream i caught was on a kmart rod and bread

Maggots maybe as a bait to try? Also, love the music during the drone shots - in fact, you music selection generally is spot on. Keep it up.
Thanks for the feedback Eddie! Yes I used to use maggots quite a fair bit when I was a young kid. Worked great!
Hey mate, can you send me a link for the rod holders?
Thanks for releasing the pregnant bream 😊
Does Bream taste like chicken?

Hope we can go back to our normal ways of life, hoping also for these restrictions to ease down so we can all go fishing already. #FISHINGVICTORIA
