- Winter Snakehead fishing isn't always advised, especially during the coldest parts of the year. However, if you can string together 2 to 3 days of a solid warming trend, and then fish that warming trend near its end, you can FIND THOSE HUNGRY SNAKEHEAD.

It’s turned on a couple days already. Really comes down to water temps. If water temps hit low 50s, it’s def worth going out and trying for ‘em

Hey kambo big fan of the videos. I fish for snakehead and was wondering how you “dispatch” your fish. I usually cut the gills but could use a more efficient way of getting the job done.

I usually club them over the head. Best tool I’ve found for it is a ball hammer. Then I’ll put em on a stringer and sliced the gills to bleed em.

Which lure will run in the muddy water? The main spinner has also started running, I am not satisfied with your feet and there is no spot in the water, thanks from India.

I think the best lure for muddy water is a chatterbait. I would try the Z man jackhammer in a dark color since that color usually tends to show up best in muddy water.

Cold water, nothing like a warm sunny day to get them feeding. It's like a light switch comes on. Also, am I seeing things or is that a TREMENDOUS amount of braid on that baitcaster? lol
Brother, if that wind hadn’t been blowing, I think I would’ve seen water temps hit 60. I was sweating when I was unloading my kayak (it was calm then). But once that wind went nuts, it kept the waters much cooler.
Looks like some good eating! Can’t remember if I’ve asked before, but what’s your favorite way to cook the snakes up?
Really tough call when it comes to cooking em. So many great ways. Probably grilled in a foil packet with creamy shrimp and sausage gumbo.
