    The oil ring scrapes oil off the cylinder wall on the way down the cylinder, depositing it back into the oil sump. Because an extremely thin film of oil lubricates the ring/cylinder wall interface, it is normal for some oil to burn during combustion

    You are explaining visible oil leakeges, near drain bolt and gaskets , I will explain addition to above, in visible oil leakeges , oil evoparates out side due to high temperature, for continuous traveling, oil losses due to worn out bore and piston rings, oil leakeges to combustion chamber, and escapes through silencer out side , this is the technical explanation thanks

    Thank you vikas bhai. Informative video. I recently had low engine oil level issue on my Yamaha FZ v1.0 which has run over 35000 kms. One of the serious issue I had was tappet and valve clearance setting. It had caused my engine to get heated up like crazy. This ultimately ruined my engine oil levels creating sludge deposition. Changed the valves, cam heads.Generally the tappet and valve clearance settings have to checked every 12000 kms and most of the Yamaha ASC don't check this properly. Also learnt how a personal mechanic can do better job than an ASC. This has caused such a serious issue. Just wanted to share my personal experience. It would be great if you can make a technical video about tappet and valve clearance. It would be helpful for many of the bikers.

      @@abhinavkashyap6717 it costed only 3000 rs including labour charge.If I had gone to a service center I would have paid a lot more and shoddy workmanship. But the most important part is the detailing of the work and attention required. I don't think ASC will spend time on the bike. Finding a skilled mechanic is the difficult part after that there is no need to go to ASC. I have sold my bike now. I switched to an electric bicycle for commutes and chores.

    Due to low oil pressure the head is damaged totally on my rc 200. It was due to low oil pressure.
    I do my service periodically n from 2nd service i started complaining about a weird noise from engine. Bt the service man always used to ignore saying tht its due to unlube chain. During my 3rd service i claim the same issue bt again they ignore. I showed my friend who is mechanic. He told me tht my head of engine is damaged due to low oil there. N my sensor which warn abt the oil pressure was also nt working. I claim to ktm service for warranty as my bike was under warranty bt they refused saying we can't trust you. You have given the bike to local mechanic.
    I just changed all required parts of engine by my own it cost me around 10k. Poor after sales service ktm

      Ketan Pawar bro is ua bike engine oil getting low within 30-40km and engine heats up very soon and radiator starts for every few minutes??

      Bro same case happened with me. I own a rc 390 and low oil pressure problem showed up around 14000 kms and back then my bike was under warranty. But due to delay by service center, now my bike is out of warranty. They'd say, this isnt the case, something something. And now, they are telling me that some engine work must be done, and it'd cost around 30,000

    If clutch plates weak means, engine rpm increases IHP, increases , more, power losses in weak clutch plates, FHP increases , actual out put BHP decreases, than fuel consumption increases , mileage drop exists,

    Life of the piston ring mostly depends on at which rpm the engine has been used throughout it's life. A engine always used past 7000 rpm will end up having worn rings than a engine did 4000 rpm for a given, say 50,000 kms.

    I m NS 200 owner few days before when my bike completed 2 years .. i had to change my Crank shaft .. and the chutiya service center with careless work installed new Crank shaft in warranty .. but i believe that they didn't fit that properly .. i have ridden my bike around 2000kms after that .. nd now i m facing low engine level .. no leakage .. i want that they get great loss in their lives .. coz it is hectic and tough to go again and again to service centers for the bike checkup... At that time they just this is normal... This is normal.. and when my finally my bike give the result of damage.. they say ooohh ... They r so careless that .. that time my bike parts are messed up with another bike scarp parts .. some got broken .. nd then they say we r sorry.. and advice me that u can get them change in claim... They broke my parts and the poor owner of that showroom n service center give advice to me .. nd kinda tell me to ask for money from the mechanic .. n he is not responsible for anything.. i respect the NS200 but their service centers are literally fucked up ..

    Hey vikas. I have a 2012 ktm duke 200. It has done 40,000kms.I change oil every 5000kms.But off late, during one of my long rides, when i stopped to fuel i checked my engine oil level and there was barely any oil. Bike had done only 1000 kms after oil change. Same thing happened once again. The bike is drinking oil like anything. Do valve clearance issues also cause this problem? Btw i have installed an ixil hyperlow. Is that the culprit?

    Sir i have a rc 390 and it have started some problems like i have changed my engine oil yesterday and done 30-40km and now if I see from the glass window there is no oil only and no leeks from any where and my bike heats up very fast and radiator starts very soon and end up stopping after 5-8 minutes

    What about the vaporization in fully synthetic oil?
    There is always vaporization in engine oils.

    Vikas bhai, I have ridden my Duke 390 with 600ml of oil for around 2.5k kms. Now I have topped up to 1.7L. Will this cause major problems in the future. Say around 4 to 5 years after purchase

    Ns200 bs7 user mannual says that about 200ml will be burned for 5k km, and we need to top up. They even make a top up 200ml bottle

    sir i have one question, if u can help me
    i have a motorcycle suzuki gixxer 155cc
    i have filled engine oil just little above the high mark
    and after running around 500km i found engine oil goes down drastically, also found engine power loss..
    how to over come from this engine power loss problem as this become day to day problem?
    note: there is no exhaust smoke, no oil leakage

    If engine rpm is 1500 means oil pressure should be above 2kg/cm sq, if 10000 RPM means above 6 kg/ cm sq ,if white smoke means in complete fuel combustion, chek the air filter, Spark plug, air fuel ratio air setting screw, and fuel quality, if Black smoke means fuel concentration is more than air ,,set air fuel ratio , oil leakeges to combustion chamber throw piston rings, supose engine oil level high means Black smoke comes , oil mixed petrol means Black smoke comes, thanks

    The valve guides could also be worn..letting oil into chamber..whilst replacing rings its important to reseal valve or replace..

    Engine oil can evaporate in air cooled engines. The serve to cool as well

    Engine oil level should be checked while engine is hot or cold? A mechanic told me keep the bike on main stand whole night and in morning check it.

    Changed motul 7100 and I ran it for 2k kilometers... Now the engine oil is low... Vehicle is R15v3... Already I had piston issues, and it got changed new in a warranty. But whatever , even synthetic is emptying.. 😪 I'm absolutely clueless and helpless.. Cuz oil is not leaking anywhere.. But again the piston? I ll get fedup , cuz it is new one.. Changed in Jan 2019 nly.

    Who knows if you are supposed to check engine oil when the bike is hot or cold!?
    When it's cold it does not show up in the glass but when you warm it up then turn it off and check the oil it's right in the middle! So the oil expands when it gets hot.

    Hello sir I just changed My Rc 200 engine oil...but in that glass i did not see any engine oil ....why??
    i have rode only 5000 km no piston problem... no leakage...and no sweating

      you need to top off engine oil until you see the marking starting to show up in the glass... RC 200 needs 1.5lts but some engines might need a little more

    Sir, i have Honda Sign/125CC... I forgot changing/Checking Oil level and suddenly noise start from engine...my mechanic poured oil into it,but says, this will not last even for 15 days... u need to change piston, timing chain etc... Sir, What Shd i do???... expense is no issue, but pl. Advice if engine is not seized, is repair required???... Slight noise is still there from engine... and if so, shd i approach Honda showroom or get it done with my mechanic...???

    For long travel engine oil temperature High by that time oil fumes evoparates throw pipe , mixed with Air inlet side in some engines ,oil fumes passes towards chain throw pipe in some engines, this is the main reason,for oil loss, R k GOwda mechanical engineer thanks,

    In bike which are subjected to high heat due to Revving ...the esters break down and oil becomes thinner... this then escapes through the rings and gets slowly burnt....and hence lower oil level...

    Bro I am facing a problem from last 5 months I have a Duke 390 bs3 2014 model when I start the bike it work nice but after some km bike start missing and then again I'll start it so it will start and the gets off

    I have my motorcycle head port and polish and 6 mos later I have 2 change oil already and when i saw the oil on my 1st change oil decreased and i thought since i already have 3000km+ traveled on my 1st change oil it naturally decereased. 2nd change oil after riding with 600km i noticed a leak and im thinking if th ff reasons why there's a leak.
    1. I put an air filter on my breather hose in my crank case? Does it change the oil pressure in the motorcycle?
    2. Should i use a thicker viscosity because i have a higher compression engine? Stock engine recommends 10w-40 but since my engine is ported and polished should i use 20w-50?

    No leakings , engine checked by authorized serive and im still losing oil ktm sxf250 2007

    My bikes engine oil is at normal level but there is some burning smell near the engine area..The heat indicator also shows normal range..Can u help me understand what the problem could be like..Also my bike has lost its smoothness to certain extent..

    There is no smoke from exhaust , small leak through clutch area but engine oil went very low lesser than minimum.Any suggestion?

    My Service centre guys haven't filled it to the middle, So what I have do bro ?? Should I Top it up or leave it?? Bike is 2K17 D390, filled 7100 one bottle.

    Bro my bike is gixxer sf.
    I have same problem with my engine oil.. It is dropped..
    Bike condition is totaly fine and i got good milage.. There is no black smoke when driving.. What is reason of dropping engine oil.. Advanced thanks
