If you make a J-loop with the clear plastic tubing, you wouldn't risk air coming up the system. Also you can continue adding fluid on top while draining it from the bleed nipple till all you see is clear fluid coming out.

Any certain type of tubing you used? Was it just something like a piece of fuel line?

I can't even remember where I got it. Just any type of tubing that will fit the drain attachment would be sufficient.
