    I literally just bought an 86 Suzuki l, and the clutch lever is loose. Thank you brother. I did exactly what you did. Worked!!

    Thanks , My clutch stopped functioning yesterday.When I opened th master cylinder...it looked like coffee that's been left in your cup for a month.
    I'm going to bleed it today or tomorrow.This Video will save me some time.

    The easiest way is to pop the cap off the master cylinder, crack the bleed valve and let it drain by itself. Keep putting fluid in as it runs out. Close the bleed when clean clear fluid comes out top off the fluid and your done. No opening and closing or squeezing the levers. It's a old one person hot rodder trick. Works on breaks too

    I replaced brake and clutch bleeder valves with “Speed Bleeders.” They have a controlled outlet valve so when you release the hand lever the bleeder valve is sealed to keep air from entering. All you have to do is continue pumping the clutch lever or the brake pedal. No fiddling with,loosening and tightening the bleeder valves. No concern about getting air in the fluid, and much easier.

    You're welcome. Hope it helps and your able to get your clutch working again. They recommend that you change your fluid at least once a year. Preferably at the beginning and end of riding season. Turns out after some research, that it is recommended that we do the same with the brake fluid in our cars. Apparently the aluminum takes in oxygen and causes the fluid to brake down and lead to corrosion or something. I can't say that I know nyone who does that. Happy riding man!

    Just had the exact same problem on my 94 vs800. Trying your method, resulted in dirty fluid, at the bleeder valve, but air was getting in somewhere. I could hear a small air leak, at the handle. So master cylinder rebuild, hopefully and done.

      Hi Pat Har! I appreciate the comment. The artist is Greg Capozzi and I'm not sure of the song. I'd have to look at the CD which I don't have access to at the moment. You can find him on Rhapsody and I believe itunes. He is a local artist friend of mine. Great stuff! Here is a link to his youtube channel... th-cam.com/users/GregCapozzivideos

    Quick Question, i have a 2000 VS800GL that has been sitting for about a year, went to take it out today and my clutch would not disengage. i flushed out the old fluid just how you did and it fixed the problem. However after a week of sitting it is doing the same thing again. Do you have any idea what is going on? Thank you

    I'm curious as to why my intruder won't engauge the clutch. I don't all steps, yet the bike won't engage in a roll thru the gears while turned off. Also, there are. No leaks from what I can see. Would you happen to know the cause?? Any help appreciated thanks, & great videos!! :) - 88 Suzuki intruder vs750

    Never re-use any brake fluid. The instant you open the bottle, it draws moisture, which then breaks down into air bubbles. Brake fluid is cheap, so don't pinch your pennies on what could save your life. Also, great vid, but try to refrain from saying "obviously" too often. Never assume the target audience has common sense. Also some people might take offense when you use "obviously" too much. Just a tip I learned in speech class. ;)

  • @av8er1648
    @av8er1648  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @CrippledKnight Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm assuming that you got your issue resolved by now. My response to your question would be to use the process that I presented but make sure that you keep the reservoir level high enough throughout the process so that you don't run into the same problem as you are bleeding. So... fill reservoir, pull clutch lever, open bleeder valve, close bleeder valve, release clutch. Repeat until you get nothing but steady fluid coming out.

    i have a suzuki 850 gs and when i try to throttle up in any gear when half way through the gear it just reves and the rpms go up and clutch seeams to slip any thoughts on what i might do?

  • @av8er1648
    @av8er1648  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Tinywentz. I don't want to pretend to be that knowledgeable or experienced. You may want to seek advice from a more reliable source than me, but I would consider that it may be a bad clutch or may just need some type of adjustment. Less invasive would be the need for a fluid change. Those are just a few of my thoughts. Good luck.

    My 2005 S83 Suzuki Boulevard 1400....After riding for a bit it tends to not want to shift. Oil is full and caliper res. oil is full also. I literally have to hand pump the clutch in order tobuild up enough pressure to shift. Wat does this mean? how do I correct it?

    • @guardhouse754
      @guardhouse754 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trust me on This, just Bleed out the whole Clutch System and Believe me this will work and if it Doesn't Then you need a Slave Cyclinder, or a new Clutch Switch Or Just rebuild the Clutch Switch, But I Believe it's your Whole Clutch System that needs to be Flushed out.....

    • @guardhouse754
      @guardhouse754 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now Also Remember that By Rebuilding your Clutch or if you don't know how to rebuild one then just buy one, their not expensive, my's is 15 dollars but like I said before, I rebuild mine, cause this is the Bullshit of it, Clutch switches have copper connectors that after a while the copper connectors turn Green and that's when the Clutch starts to Act Funny like the bike starts to Shake like it what's to Shut-down. So Just Buy a New Clutch Switch and Remember first, Flush-out your Whole Clutch System and you should Ride with No Problems, Good Luck...
