The YJ has a lot of wiring differences from my 02 TJ but for me disabling the seat belt buzzer was as simple as disconnecting the 2-wire harness that goes under the driver's seat and to the seat belt latch. Disconnecting (opening) that circuit permanently seems to do the trick. Good job on the detail Kyle, looks great.
Ah yes. Classic Saab Kyle. I love the direction his channel is going in with him building his own house and having like 10 project cars he works on himself. He's come a might long way. It's nice to see the humble beginnings.
Those Jeep Wranglers with the square shaped headlamps are becoming more rare every year & of course they became obsolete back in either 1996 or 97. I'm seeing more & more of the new 4-door ones out on the roads.
Disconnect the wires underneath the driver's seat that's connected to the seat belt on the driver's side and you won't have to hear that buzzer anymore! I did that to the previous three that I had and to the one that I have now!
My friend has a 95 YJ like this one, but it just does that normal beeping sound like on the newer TJ and JK wranglers. It's still kind of annoying because it beeps until you put your seatbelt on, just like how the buzzer works on this. Another friend of mine just cut the wires to the buzzer on his 91 XJ Cherokee.
I have a 94 2.5L with a soft top and half doors. My jeep looks identical to this one except for the fact that this one has air and mine don't. Wish mine came with air though.
1995 was a "extended" year for the Wrangler, as Chrysler ran the YJ into December and skipped 1996, allowing for the new TJ to start the 1997 model year in early 1996.
Look around more get a 4.0 5spd TJ for about 7k with 150k miles or so or even a YJ if you want one which is what he's driving on here I myself am looking for a jeep also good luck my friend
Keep your eyes peeled and check craigslist every day. I nabbed a 95 with 83k miles with a 6.5" lift, brand new 35's, custom driveshafts, slip yoke elim and a ford 8.8 rear already installed for $6500.
plus 150k on the 4.0 is nothing, i've seen them go up to 250,000 and still have some kick too them. Also rebuilds are pretty cheap on this car. ATK sells rebuilds for about a 1,000 if you can do the rebuild on your own without going to a mechanic that is insane how affordable that is. And you if you have some extra doe laying around like 4,000 you can get a rebuilt ATK 4.7 I6 stroker motor. Not really relevant to this conversation, just trying to encourage others to buy jeeps because they are a awesome community of people.
I own a 95 4 banger with 301689 miles on the original motor , and still going. NOT FOR SALE , and i wave at other jeep owners.! Drive to work every day. the best vehicle i ever owned....
Looks just like my baby(: and yes its a great every day car, in the winter its nice to have the hard top though! It's a great vehical though, not great on the high way, but it works. I love my jeep!!
I wish my Rio Grande Edition had a 6 cylinder in it. Mine has tube bumpers all around, white with a grey top and interior... also has an underdash A/C system, but lacks highway power with the 4 cylinder.
Oh yeah I know I test drove a 94 with the 4cyl that thing was manual had to drop into 2nd gear to keep going up a hill where the speed limit was 55 but only went like 35 up it
the transmission on the 1987-1995 1989-1997 (IR) Jeep Wrangler/ Beijing-Jeep BJ 2024/ Jeep Sahra (Iran) Transmission Aisin AX-5 (4 cyl) Aisin AX-15 (6 cyl) Peugeot BA-10 (6 cyl) 3-speed TorqueFlite (6 cyl only) automatic The TF904 was in the I4 (only in 1994, 1995) and the TF999 was in the I6
@Koenes99 yjs dont rust they are made with zink plated metal,i live on the wet coast of canada we get lots of rain ,not much snow ,but they salt the roads when it does snow,my 1995 jeep has no rust on the frame or body
@eaiseaspie i use castrol syntec and lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, its a bit pricy but my oil looks better after 3 months than it should after 3 weeks. hope that helps you.
@NickPech yj fenders are not that hard to clean up , tjs are the ones that you cant get rid of oxidation just about every one you see the fenders are grey, some peopl think they came that way.
Does this car have a radio or AC? I always wanted a TJ or YJ. Is the interior somewhat ample or spacious? Your opinions? Wish your test drive of the Wrangler was longer :(. Hopefully you can do other test drives and reviews of different style Wranglers.
3 speed automatic. i have a 93 yj sport 4.0 with a auto. very strong trans but dammit on the mpgs oh well its a jeep. i much rather have them in manual though i love the way the manuals shift. i have a friend with a yj with a 4.0 5sp. manual trans that thing is fun to drive and will haul ass and he has a 4inch lift with 33inch tires.
Nice video! I would love to know what product (s) you used on the lower frame, specifically the rear gas tank cover, etc to get that black/ shiny clean look to it. I noticed that even the exhaust pipe had a nice clean shine. I figure it was a black magic or mequiars product? I have a 99 tj and love detailing it.
Dude your like a 45 min drive from where I am.. I would come any day to get my jeep cleaned like this.. Do you think you could pm me the info on how much it cost?
Honestly I dont mind an automatic because not one off road minded person would want one. So there normally all stock like I want. I want to fix one up and make it all stock I just like them better that way and they aren't as bulky. They look better stock to
Nice job! Just for future knowledge, never use paper towels on the plastic windows on a soft top because it actually scratches it up. With your level of knowledge I'm guesing you already know this, but I thought I might as well say it in case you didnt.
Thank You For A Great Video, Greatly Appreciate, Just Wanted To Add To The Lone Fisherman. I've Been Looking For A Jeep, As Far Back As The 80's. And Back In 2013, I Was Able To Purchase My Nephew, 1995 Jeep Wrangler Yj With 53000 Original Miles. I Was Looking For Something Original, And Not Just Another Beater. Or Something That's Been Thrash. There's Alot Of Jeep's Out There, But Don't Buy Someone Else Junk...
Does anybody know the best brand name oil to use in the engine for very high mileage wranglers? mine is pushing 230K and still running strong but i just want to keep it in as best condition as possible... thanks for any help

I love the halfassed spray paint job on the underneath to cover up some of the rust
My dad had a Jeep Wrangler when I lived in Panama City, Florida. It was yellow with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was a 1991 model.
That is one smooth ride. Would LOVE to have a YJ model restored some day. Beautiful vehicle inside and out.
That's one badass wrangler!
My all time favorite generation of the Wrangler (YJ)
That was clean.. Most impressive.
I was watching your video for years
Those Jeep Wranglers with the square shaped headlamps are becoming more rare every year & of course they became obsolete back in either 1996 or 97. I'm seeing more & more of the new 4-door ones out on the roads.
that buzzer harmonization is pure brilliance. no it's not. it's probably the dumbest feature of that car.
Disconnect the wires underneath the driver's seat that's connected to the seat belt on the driver's side and you won't have to hear that buzzer anymore! I did that to the previous three that I had and to the one that I have now!
it's a 95 and its still has that 80's buzzer
I have a 94 auto and I'm pretty sure the previous owner cut the buzzer out because it doesn't buzz for me. Lol
Looks almost like new after you were done, awesome job and a great video
That buzzer sounds like a damn cicada
My dad used to have an 89 Cherokee Limited. It had almost the same interior, and that buzzer went off until you click the belt in.
Damn, i love jeep wranglers...
You do a great job!!!
I praise the owner for the clean stock look of that wrangler. I'd pay top dollar for that wrangler over a modified one
Congrats on 1M subs!
I was always wonder about that? Makes sense; you never hear about a 1996 wrangler....
that is awesome i love detailing video kyle there fantasic
damn good job...looks brand new
Man, I want a jeep so bad, but they just don't depreciate at all. I'm sorry but $10k for a 20 year old wrangler is ridiculous lol
Look around more get a 4.0 5spd TJ for about 7k with 150k miles or so or even a YJ if you want one which is what he's driving on here I myself am looking for a jeep also good luck my friend

I just bought a 94 with 181xxx miles for 2k no rust or anything
Looks just like my baby(: and yes its a great every day car, in the winter its nice to have the hard top though! It's a great vehical though, not great on the high way, but it works. I love my jeep!!

The awesome thing about these Jeeps is that they can be made into Jurassic Park replicas.
Only the YJ's.
The seatbelt buzzer must have been added in 94/95, I have a 93 and it only buzzes for a few seconds
How did you get the soft top windows so clean, or is that a new soft top?
For being a 2 seater, the back seat 5:27 has a surprising amount of leg room.
I really wish for the automatics that Jeep didn’t ditch the thing with the column shifter!
Great Job! How much did you charge?
kyle im a big fan and i would really appreciate it if u do a comparison of some vehicles what do u say by the way saw ur new intro video and its cool
Wow what did you use on the soft glass???
Mine yj with roughly 5.5" lift on 33s does great at 70mph. As long as the suspension is properly maintenance it wont feel wobbly on the road
In my 92 YJ, the buzzer shuts off after about 4 seconds lol
+RandomPerson56789 Same
RandomPerson56789 after a while, I would get so annoyed with that thing and then rip that buzzer out
The 4.2 engine was made on YJs from '87-'90.
axlplayer14 It's the parking brake. Notice the difference in height between the brake and parking brake.
I was like the interior is too nice then I saw this was upload long ago
is there any way to remove the seat belt buzzer?
crazy sound...
You are a magician, how the heck did you get the oxidation out of the fenders..?
the transmission on the 1987-1995 1989-1997 (IR) Jeep Wrangler/
Beijing-Jeep BJ 2024/ Jeep Sahra (Iran)
Transmission
Aisin AX-5 (4 cyl)
Aisin AX-15 (6 cyl)
Peugeot BA-10 (6 cyl)
3-speed TorqueFlite (6 cyl only) automatic The TF904 was in the I4 (only in 1994, 1995) and the TF999 was in the I6
I almost got this as my first car but I didn't like it in red. Now I kind of regret not getting it, haha.
you dun fucked up now
Great job! Wowee
I'm pretty sure he got rid of the oxidation on the fender with a heat gun. But I don't know for sure
@Koenes99 yjs dont rust they are made with zink plated metal,i live on the wet coast of canada we get lots of rain ,not much snow ,but they salt the roads when it does snow,my 1995 jeep has no rust on the frame or body
aww, i love these in manuals, automatic is fine too, just like manual transmission better, overall.
I have this Jeep but 1992 and manual. 162,000 miles (260,000 km) and still running strong! Get 4.0l engine not the 2.5!
Man, it would have been nice to see techniques and products that were used, particularly on the Cloth Top & the Rubber Fender Molds !!
glad we cleared that up
@eaiseaspie i use castrol syntec and lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, its a bit pricy but my oil looks better after 3 months than it should after 3 weeks. hope that helps you.
Thinkin about getting one of these as my first car.... Good Choice?
Greatness.
@asgher786 you unbutton or unzip the plastic window and it folds down on the inside
Its All good We all have our down moments once in a while :)
HEY THAT IS A WHITE SAAB O MY GOSH AWESOME
Nice video! I would love to know what product (s) you used on the lower frame, specifically the rear gas tank cover, etc to get that black/ shiny clean look to it. I love jeeps
l Iove jeeps
Do you know the european version of wrangler yj?It has smaller lamps, and pilot/turn light on the front fender.
Great job! What products/techniques did you use to get rid of the oxidation?
Are the YJ normally that noisy? Seems like you can hear every single sound and noise in the cabin.
kinda hard pressed to find an automatic. isnt that a 3 speed?
one of my favorites is 1997 Ford F150 Regular Cab
What size lift does this have on it? It's literally the perfect height.
I'd say a 3 inch lift seeing as that's what I have on mine and it's about the same height. I'm not a tall girl so it really is the perfect height.
Dude your like a 45 min drive from where I am.. I would come any day to get my jeep cleaned like this.. Do you think you could pm me the info on how much it cost?
i was thinking of getting a jeep as my first car is there any pros and cons
@MrTicTacToca thats the transfer case its an automatic
Honestly I dont mind an automatic because not one off road minded person would want one.
So there normally all stock like I want. I want to fix one up and make it all stock I just like them better that way and they aren't as bulky. They look better stock to
Nice job! Just for future knowledge, never use paper towels on the plastic windows on a soft top because it actually scratches it up. With your level of knowledge I'm guesing you already know this, but I thought I might as well say it in case you didnt.
@saabkyle04 my ocd just sreams this... What about the exterior handles ? They look... Undetailed. Please tell me im wrong
thats the emergency break. its on the floor for most automatic s.u.v.s / trucks
@JERRY666bc That was only for 95, but yeah the zinc plating makes them pretty much rust proof.
lol I have those same tires on my 95 yj s and they are great but they weigh to much any suggestions for a different type
These are extremely hard to find for an automatic
So cool
the 1987-1996 Jeep Wrangler was assembled in
Toledo, Ohio, United States
Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Beijing, China
Tehran, Iran

@xNate416 Not once you drive a manual, you dont think anything of it. I just think you'd feel disconnected from whole car
did you put dressing on the undercarrige
the average MPG on the 1995 Jeep Wrangler Automatic is
15 City 17 Highway
How did you clean the underside?
Does anybody know the best brand name oil to use in the engine for very high mileage wranglers? mine is pushing 230K and still running strong but i just want to keep it in as best condition as possible... thanks for any help
love tho jeeps thxs man
perfect davidsfarm car
@fullonforce Automatic is easier???
Can you do a test drive of a Dodge RAM when you have one 5/5
Can you do a 2010 Ford F150 Regular Cab?
Is it a cj5? I got offered a 95 cj5 w/4 in lift and 30in tires should i take it?
So nice. But i am driving a Cj4 :))
the engine on the 1987-1995 1989-1997 (IR) Jeep Wrangler/

@rocketman5989 yeah for the middle eastern market i think :-)
I've seem some with the soft tops removed completely. Is that safe?
Goldenrod636 yes
How much dose a detail like that cost?
does this thing have a radio?
