    I started this project watching someone who did a video of a sedan without specifying or showing any of the vehicle besides the wheel well. It was a life saver to stumble across your video. Thank you!!! 💕

    I found these torque specs in the Infiniti service manuals:
    Three nuts on top (28-30lbs),
    bolt strut fork to control arm (51-57 lbs),
    ball joint nut (70lbs)
    bolt sway bar (65lbs).

    great instructional video, but just a tip, take off the sway bar link first. Then loosen other bolts, and take off carefully, will need to support and raise/lower the jack to relieve the pressure on the bolts. Good luck.

    Instead of using the air tools (which I didn't have ) to dissemble the suspension, I used a bottle jack between the A-arm and the fender to give enough clearance to remove & install the strut. Worked out OK.

    The manual says 80 ft-lbs required for the lug nuts on my 2013 G35. Is there a reason why you used 95 ft-lbs? Another great video. I really enjoyed watching your videos in order to do some basic work without taking it to the shop. Thank you

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marty Pham Torque specs generally have a range, for example 75 ft-lbs-100 ft-lbs, so depending on where you find the spec it could be within a range. When performing very specific ranges like on the 20 inch pound rating for bearing preload you’ll see in my gear install video, I will be more specific

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chief Walking Water Yeah, it’s penetrating oil. The liquid wrench and pb blaster is a little better than wd-40, but that should also work. It doesn’t hurt to pick up a can of liquid wrench or pb though.

    Are these struts good? What's ur experience? Would u recommend?

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. They are doing a great job as an economy strut. My only recommendation would be a different brand that offers a camber bolt. These, as well as factory struts will not allow you to get a perfect alignment. I’m not sure these are adjustable either, so depends on what you want for performance. These work for my wife’s car.

    • @dllamboy

      Danny Johnson do you have any suggestions? I’ve looked around, but I’m not sure which to get.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A channel for storing videos Being that my wife’s car is not performance based, but rather factory smooth focused, I can’t really say for people looking to upgrade. These have been good “factory replacements” so far- no complaints EXCEPT, you might want to look for some that also have an adjustable camber bolt. The car does not have them stock, but it helps when aligning
