I remember Peter Holt - owner of the Spurs - lamenting why they broke it up so early... Which is why he did his best to keep the Spurs together. I am looking forward to seeing the other episodes and learning more about Jordan's Bulls.

What seperates LeBron from MJ is not Championships or stats. Its not MVP or silly accolades. What seperates LeBron from MJ is the moment LeBron went to Miami to chase titles. He had a chance, to put Cleveland on his back and really make something special, like Jordan with the Bulls. Colin and Nick, LeBron with all his accomplishments will never gain light in the shadow MJ casts because of what MJ built. The GOAT is a title of Will, Perseverance, and Determination. MJ had those in spades. LeBron does not. That is what seperates them.

The old system was superior....minus the last decision to break it up which was obviously terrible, Krause was an amazing GM who helped MJ win specifically because he did what he thought was best. We look at player empowerment and realize the Bulls breakup wouldn’t have happened and cheer it. But we totally ignore all of the great moves from 90-97 that could have been prevented by an all powerful player. What if “LeBron” had said no to Phil Jackson or demanded a bad trade that weakened the team? Nick Wright would be on TV explaining why Phil isn’t the right coach and Scottie isn’t a true #2.

Yall got it wrong jordan had the ability to adapt to a lesser role to maximize the players around him. Lebron couldnt adapt in miami hence the loss to the mavs dwade realized this and took the lesser role so lebron could be maximized as a player. Lebron cant play in a system where he plays off ball he has to be the system but other role players in that culture lose themselves in the process its why when he's not on the floor the team struggles because the roles and responsibilties lose definition.
I agree. I think people undermine Jordan's flexibility when it came to being coached. I truly believe that Jordan was every bit as versatile as Lebron, yet chose to focus his talents on scoring and closing, which allowed other role players to maximize their strenghts. Lebron, for all of his talent, perhaps undermines his teammates by relegating them to spot up shooters and making them completely dependant on him. I think this overlooked, yet fundamental difference between the two great players is why Jordan went 6 for 6.

@@arizonaFIREent jordan did it because it maximized pippens abilities so when u in the trenches his confidence will be there because he knows exactly hos role. Lebron's teammates suffer because it all flows through him so much so that when he sits the bench the team is clueless as to what to do. If lebron developed a consistent jumpshot off the catch and shoot his teams wouldnt be in 2nd place so much although i dont count that first trip nor 15 and 18 against him.
@G-man jordan adapted to a lesser role when he accepted the triangle offense which was meant to take ball responsibility from jordan so that his role players could thrive before the triangle jordan was averaging 33ppg 6.4 rebs 6.1 assists after the triangle it 30.5 6.2 and 5.2 so less of everything for the good of the team
