@Sadik...Great interviews with Frank...I'm 10 years younger so obliviously I was a big Frank fan when I was a kid :) He's probably the most trusted name in bodybuilding :)
@aztekkthundergod Aging process really starts to kick in after 55 for most people. The guy is pushing 80, still alive, not in a wheelchair, using a walker, or hooked up to a dialysis machine. Dude looks great.
I agree, physically he also seems ok, doesn't seem to have joint issues. He was a mathemstics and chemistry teacher, certainly no dummy - which is maybe most important of all😉
Met him at a fitness expo in the 90’s. He bet my girlfriend that she couldn’t do 50 push-ups and he lost. Very nice man, one of my heroes in bodybuilding.
Zane's classic... and the email proves it. He's 77 and going on strong. I'll watch the other videos in the series. That gym is neat and completely functional... a piece of art. Hope it all remains together.
So true SL. I was thinking the same thing. Here on borrowed time and enjoy everyday like its your last. Mr. Zane was like a stealth bomber. Sleek and Strong.

His lungs filled with green "yuck" and he pass-on from lack of oxygen uptake....kinda pissed me off that the media says it was heard failure . I still think he'd be alive if he got antibiotics. @@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 Thank you for the insight Tom. It doesn't surprise me a bit. Even the toughest need someone to tell them that enough is enough from time to time. Too bad that Mr. LaLanne didn't ease up a bit when needed. Would like to have seen him still around today.
I love Frank Zane. It's a good feeling to see him on youtube. When I was young, he was one of my inspirations besides Arnold. He is methodological and scientific when it comes to bodybuilding. Great physique. More power to Frank and to this channel.
One of the most underrated bodubuilder of his generation. Kudos to Frank for sticking it out and highlighting his strengths where size was and still is the order of the day. Respect and love for you. God bless ❤💯🙏
In New Zealand, we had a really basic old gym when I started with mismatching weights that were donated to our cause but Franks photo was on our wall to inspire us. Thank you Frank.

@3:08 gym tour officially starts I love Frank Zane and the wisdom he provides for us. I’ve been looking at his picture since I started training as a teenager back in the late 1990s
Frank Zane wasn’t your average mass monster, he was the epitome of proportion and symmetry! That’s why he was three times Mr. Olympia! His V taper was incredible to say the least!
I used to train at Valley Barbell in El Cajon CA the owner made the dumbbells himself and they were in 2-1/2 lb increments. Those dumbbells were so helpful to keeping good form until you were strong enough to go heavier.
I see Frank has a 1st generation Nautilus Leg Extension which is the best Leg Extension machine I ever used. He also has a Nautilus Pullover but I prefer the 1st generation Nautilus Pullover plate loading machine that Dorian Yates used. Unfortunately most commercial gyms in Usa/Canada phased these machines out for newer machines which are not as effective.
Every bodybuilder should aspire to look like Frank Zane or Arnold. If mass is really important then aspire to look like Sergio Oliva. No one should aspire to look like Ronnie Coleman or Phil Heath. That's just plain gross. Also from the perspective of good health, look at Zane and Arnold today. They're still in good shape, fit, and healthy. Ronnie despite being a couple of decades younger can't even walk anymore. This should be a warning to all lifters.
Akshay K I SO agree. Frank Zane is 77 and he’s the picture of health! If you look at his physique when he was in his prime, that’s from hard work!! Not from the use of steroids! Ronnie Coleman was all mass, but you can tell some of that freakish mass came from steroid use! I like the classic, symmetry and proportion look on bodybuilders. Mass monsters don’t impress me at all!
I agree with most of what you have said, however, for me no one can beat Sergio -tiny waist, huge muscles. proportion. aesthetics. He was even more impressive in person. I got to meet him in York,PA many years ago. He said in cuba he worked out and made big gains eating mostly bananas. I don't think he was kidding.
TheSergio944 I agree! Sergio Oliva was awesome! Fusing mass with symmetry! That’s why he was nicknamed “The Myth”! I wish bodybuilders today would go back to that style of physique.
@@ddrums001 Keep in mind, however, that Zane was taking every steroid that was available to them back in the late-60s through the early-80s. He is simply an ectomorph and never put on the extreme mass of Oliva or even Arnold. He also trained for symmetry rather than size. Arnold said when Zane beat him he learned his lesson to work on symmetry and cuts rather than increasing his size.
