- We met up w/ Matt and his Fully S4 swapped B8 A4 Avant w/ a Manual swap as well! Both the donor S4 and the A4 were completely torn down to the bare shell, and everything from the S4 was bolted into the Avant! S4 Wagons do not exist in the US, so Matt made it happen!

Nah it’s great to see someone do it. Would love to do this with mine but that wiring seems like a pain.
Just means you can use it as motivation or problem solving ( starting with mindset ) you’ll get there👍🏻
I want to do the same thing expect rs swap in a avant, one of a kind but I’m holding my S4 to eventually do this swap

It's incredible how good you get at troubleshooting problems with your car once you have taken a large part of it apart and put it back together. Insane build. I swear audis are made of legos.

This is for the first time I guess its like a dream showing up and it also gets unleished to everyone else for fine tunement. So much time and effort put into ONE project. I am gonna follow up and see where the tune compass is now accompanying. Great Work and ready for the ever last project. 😊

Its interesting to see someone spend so much time and effort into building such a car. Meanwhile here in Germany you can pick up stock S4 B8s for 15k and the normal (same) 3.0 supercharged models for 10k

Why wait and life is never a guarantee either on how long you will live. So if you can make one now and enjoy it. Why not?...

this is nice job , I did similar thing to my VW wagon 4motion convert to R-line to a dot something we would of not get in North America in wagon form, , this is nicely done...
In the UK they only now offer an S4 in diesel awesome looking car.
Some day I'd like to do something similar to my allroad. Maybe an RS5 swap, I've seen one of those and it's sick! This build is also top notch, enjoyed watching

Wow that looks like it was quite a project! I’ve a 2012 A4 Avant 2.0 purchased new. Added a KO4, intercooler, IE manifold, intake, Bilsteen coilovers, stasis sway bars, down pipe, cat back, the list continues. Money spent on the car since purchase would have bought me a new TTRS. Ironically I did purchase
a 2021 TTRS about a month ago, which got a stage 1 tune last Friday. Now I have two quick toys. What a gem you have!
Having lived in NJ previously, what I’m curious about is how the emissions stuff worked out. The 3.0 has got to be producing significantly more you’d assume. Love the car, love the concept.
Emissions are no problem. It’s a factory S4 ECM, so they just plug into OBD like normal and as long as there’s no faults and readiness monitors are set it’ll pass. Just ran it through inspection in December and it passed 0 issues 👍🏻
A shop in California did this swap and it was 100 percent carb legal so it is possible to get it to pass

Great job fella. As an S4 owner and seeing the gearchanges, I really feel that your stick shift is wasting power, due to rev drops between shifts and of course wasting power equates to wasting fuel.
Who can change gear quicker than semi autos etc (we have auto, auto sport and paddle mode - all in one) its terrific, and very well mated to the V6 engine, which is great to live with.
Respect to you for getting it done - can only imagine the man hours involved in the wiring alone.
You can't compare the manual feeling
I'm working on improving my 04' Passat GL 1.8T 5-Speed Wagon.. Still got alot to do with it...That is very nice.

Hey great video! I love the swap and that SUPERCHARGER sounds fantastic. I have an A4 B7 that I have swapped to the K04 and all that goes with upgrading to handle that turbo and the suspension to the RS4. I love mine but yours is amazing!!

What I love about Audi is that the sedans and stationwagons are identical from the bottom up till the windows. Same goes for my 98 A4 Limousine. Got doorpanels, seats (Except rear seat because of a different latch system) all from an Avant. A year ago I got some complete front suspension from, you guessed it.... an Avant. Oh and my steering wheel came of an A6 C5 Avant 4.2 which is (And sounds) cool

Freakin' AWESOME job... hats off for the dedication and patience you showed in undertaking such a HUGE job. The car is sweet and I picked up a nice tip.. 245 as opposed to 255 - should help a little when lowering onto 20s, especially if running a lower ET in search of decent poke. Again.. fabulous job!!!

Just occurred to me when I said "double what a factory s4 would make" I must've been referring to boost pressure, lol. Stock S4 peaks at about 10-11psi and mine peaks at about 20psi with the dual pulley set up. Woops

Jesus... What an outstanding job Matt did on his swapped S4 Avant!! Would love to have this car, but couldn't imagine the amount of work that would go into it. To be able to do something like this is a testament to his skill and determination.
Do agree with him on the wheels... They're too big for the car. Also not a fan of the air ride/low ride height. Sport lowered springs/struts would have been better looking, but my opinion doesn't mean squat. Matt obviously loves what he's done and there's no reason he shouldn't

Im running a 275 30 Conti DWS on 10.5 x 20, squared, on my B8.5 Allroad with AccuAir, same suspension set up, tucked, so you can go a little wider if desired. Just need the correct offset. It's tight in there, but no rubs, and no problems.
