Dude is humble, but hes low-key an audi genius, and he knows his stuff. He should be building cars like this for a living. Id love to pick his brain about what kind of swaps and manual trans options i can do in my 02 A8.
That's my man! I am so proud of him & to see all the love on this video is amazing! I can tell him his builds are badass allllll day long but Idk what im talking about. So, to have all of you love these builds, make him (& I) very happy. Dude doesn't know just how much of a badass he truly is. Thanks again for doing this story on him, it was so much fun getting to watch him talk about his builds & share his passion with everyone ❤(& thanks to that cop for not giving him a ticket 😂)
This is by FAR my FAVORITE episode of Deutsche Auto Parts ever, Mr.Harp is a great dude and I absolutely love his builds - glad to see he's getting that recognition
Hahaha, I respect that opinion - but I don't believe that Martin did it to be fast but rather to push the envelope of the chassis and inspire others. @@josephaction1138
This is probably one of my top 5 random guys over the internet. The way he joke around about his skills and builds are just so natural, is like watching a friend talk. Great video, there's so much cool swaps and projects that are hidden gems lke this one
Pure passion and madness too, but as an IT technician who loves mechanic works too, I can only say that those builds are some of the best I’ve ever heard of!
The fact you down play this swap is the reason i stopped for a double take. Your a true gear head. ****Awsome **** Fresh air fender slots like the Mercedes Diesel would be functional and look cool.
ive owned a B5 S4 and did all the work to upgrade and fix it to a RS4 and this is just amazing work and dedication as its not easy!!! My hats off to him!!
While people are going to negate my sentiment; This guy is pretty much up there with Porsche's singer. His mastermind is that wild. OEM to the next level(Yes, beyond OEM+).
Glad to see Martin's work getting the attention it deserves. This dude is a mad scientist of Audi's. Been following is work for months. Props man, awesome to see some good vids of this stuff!
The swaps are really cool, but the thing that really intrigues me is the technical and engineering side of things, like solving the CV shaft issues, and sniffing for CANBus signals. Rad!
I love what you did to those chassis. keep it up! 🙂 I myself drive an A4 B5 facelift Avant quattro 1.8T as daily and recently bought his twin as RS4. I just love those cars. They are aging so unbelievably well, it's insane. Such thing as you do here are impossible in Germany. I love that you where born in the right country to live your automotive dreams 🙂
Both these builds are amazing. I've watched both builds from start to finish. Which is never done really. You and Joel are the top swap fab guys in the Audi community.
"I just kept crawling and it kept working" that's how you put a V8 4.0 twin turbo into a B5. For real these are mind-shatteringly incredible, impeccably done
Gorgeous builds.. TWO of them... Great taste, too. All he's missing is a monster 5-cylinder project. 😉 Sometimes the guys who build these things just rub me the wrong way, in which case I wouldn't even pay attention to the video... but he seems like such a decent dude, so I can't help but be happy for the guy for having accomplished some pretty impressive builds.
Damn. There are few build videos on TH-cam that I will watch from beginning to end and be fully interested in. Most of the time these builds have been done and copied many times. These two builds right here are so unique. Absolutely love the fact that he kept the swaps within the same brand. That V10 is sick. Love the fact that it was rear wheel drive. And that 4.0 V8 swap out of the S7 is just an amazing build. When all of the kinks are worked out, that will be one of the best Audi builds of all time.
This man is my god! Totally underplayed all the lessons learned and trials and tribulations. Its my dream to swap in a V10 but right now I have a 2.7T sitting around that I plan to drop in my B6 A4.
When I think of Audi enthusiasts, Martin Harp certainly comes to mind. You guys should have Joel Francisco on with his V10 URS6 build after he finishes his twin turbo set up!
The amount of hours he had to spent to fit those big ass engines into those enginerooms that were definiteley not build for such big engines... you have to have some serious skills to make such things happen.
I know he wouldn't take orders but if I was a multi-millionaire I would contact this guy right away to build me a 2000 S4 like that. ABSOLUTE dream car.
Simply amazballs! In true Audi tradition you have put in a motor where one defies physics to be. Telling you well done is simply nnnnnot enough. True Audi love is recognized! I will neverrrrrr complain about how something doesn't quite fit everrrrrrrr again!
This is sweeet! I’m currently in the middle of a swap myself. I’ve got a MK6 Jetta with a 2.5L + 09G, lol, well, I did, the car is gutted now and I’m putting a 3.6L V6 + DSG in place instead.
Are you modifying the engine at all? You rarely see 3.6 VR6’s modified like you do with something like a VQ. They seem to pick up solid power with bolt ons and an e85 tune, would be cool to see an NA VR do the same. That along with rwd conversion would be awesome in the Jetta
@@PapiAndrey There’s not a lot of love for the 3.6.. lol, minimal aftermarket since people can pull more out of turbo motors. I’m likely just gonna tune it and that’s about it. ..but we know how that goes.. “yeah I’ll leave it like that” < then all of the sudden your car is completely something else >
Absolutely amazing! I have a FWD 2001 b5.5 1.8t and with me and 2 10 inch subs it weighs 3280, I'm almost 200lbs. So the car alone is about 3100lbs. So yeah... Those are still pretty light!
Dude is humble, but hes low-key an audi genius, and he knows his stuff. He should be building cars like this for a living. Id love to pick his brain about what kind of swaps and manual trans options i can do in my 02 A8.
That Wide body b5 is out of this world. It's pure perfection.
For real tho, thats gotta be a B5 dreamcar

He is amazing. “I would try try things and they would just work”. His ability to visualize, wow.
Yeah but most of us dont have extra parts laying around to just "try thing here and there"
I can’t believe he was able to cram a V10 in there.
Im amazed the v8 fit with factory stuff
Especially considering how tight even the v6s are in B5s
Watch Joel Franciso part of the Audi C4 group.
@@hopingforthebest1.9 got that porsche service postion. Step 1. Remove engine
This is brilliant how much mods to fit a v10 in there. I get the v8 was available on that platform so it could be done.
This is by FAR my FAVORITE episode of Deutsche Auto Parts ever, Mr.Harp is a great dude and I absolutely love his builds - glad to see he's getting that recognition
Yes, he did that for fun, but he also knows the 2.7 fully built with right turbos would be faster than both of those engines🤷🏽♂️✔️💯
Hahaha, I respect that opinion - but I don't believe that Martin did it to be fast but rather to push the envelope of the chassis and inspire others. @@josephaction1138
Motivation, skill, and ability is the answer to most everything. Hell of a build!
That 4.0T is hands down the most beautiful, cleanest build I've ever seen in my life. Hats off to this man, what an artist.
This is probably one of my top 5 random guys over the internet. The way he joke around about his skills and builds are just so natural, is like watching a friend talk.

B5 Hall of Fame.
Greeting from Australia.
While people are going to negate my sentiment; This guy is pretty much up there with Porsche's singer. His mastermind is that wild. OEM to the next level(Yes, beyond OEM+).
I 100% agree! He could do 4.2, 3.0T, 4.0T swaps!
I love my B5...I dream of someday even attempting a 4.2 swap. This guy is the new B5 God for sure. Amazing work.
The B5 Body with the V10 WOW best of both worlds!!!
Handling left the chat.
I have admired this man's work for a long time. Well done, awesome builds!
Martin is a cool guy. Super friendly and extremely helpful in the B5 groups
Oh wow, I'm in love with that widebody 4.0T build! So clean, so simple, but yet quite involved underneath it all. Bravo!
Glad to see Martin's work getting the attention it deserves. This dude is a mad scientist of Audi's. Been following is work for months. Props man, awesome to see some good vids of this stuff!
That B5 is mechanical nirvana. Lots of love went into that car and it shows. Very well done.
My boy Harp gettin some exposure for Our Cars! Both of those builds are insane man
That b5 v10 is so cool. Looks awesome, sounds awesome. Perfect combo
The swaps are really cool, but the thing that really intrigues me is the technical and engineering side of things, like solving the CV shaft issues, and sniffing for CANBus signals. Rad!
According to the video it's easier if you get c6 s6 wiring harness to get the engine running instead of using canbus convertors
Great feature - thanks for giving Martin a place to share his story!
Thanks youtube algorithm for recomending me this. Sick builds and coverage!
I love what you did to those chassis. keep it up! 🙂

incredible builds. thats exactly 100% my favourite flavour of car enthusiasm. congrats to the builder, I'm in awe.
DUDE those things are so sick!!! Unbelievable you got some skills.
This is the kind of builds that I like: Clean, underrated, OEM-plus. Factory "look". Very, very, very nice.
Both these builds are amazing. I've watched both builds from start to finish. Which is never done really. You and Joel are the top swap fab guys in the Audi community.
I can listen to this guy talk about cars all day, awesome builds 👍🏼
WTF the best swap ever!!
I love this B6!
I love listening to people who have such passion about something doesn’t matter if it’s car stuff or not
This guy is a legend.
this is what passion is all about!
Loved seeing these there !
This is not normal, very talented, great work bro...keep it up !!
Incredibly clean swaps on both. Wow.
Been waiting for an eternity for this! So great to see Martin get the spotlight from Helen!!!
Martin harp is one of my mechanical hero’s. Been following his work for so so long.
Been a follower of his work for a while now. I rate him a lot
Jesus, when he said "Yeah being straight piped, it's pretty loud..." I was like... "Oh yeah?" then it started up and I was like WTFFFFFF

hell yeah he is from Iowa! some dream builds!
I am most definitely not an Audi guy, but this is effing brilliant. well done
Unbelievable builds! In the garage on his knees! Props man … PROPS
Absolutely insane builds. I'm just speechless
Both cars are stunning. Very nice
beyond cool , great build’s both of them. I get the same sensation with my build (ap 1.8 big turbo daily) great video!
This guys awesome and extremely humble.
When I think of Audi enthusiasts, Martin Harp certainly comes to mind. You guys should have Joel Francisco on with his V10 URS6 build after he finishes his twin turbo set up!
We made a video with Joel linked below would love to check it out again with the turbos!

Both are wonderful builds. You can tell how passionate he is about the culture.
what a work! Nice job! Nice looking and great power train!

Sooooo many hours & late nights in the garage or at the shop working on these bad boys. He's got serious skills & a very understanding GF 😂
He's a great guy. Love his work, loved to follow his progress on instagram as well before he decided to quit that.
I know he wouldn't take orders but if I was a multi-millionaire I would contact this guy right away to build me a 2000 S4 like that. ABSOLUTE dream car.
Awesome. Especially that it's still OEM like. That is what I like too. Some people make a carnival from such a car. This is perfect. Great job.
Whaaaaat?!… guy lives an hour away from me. Sick builds 👍🏻
Awsome build, humble man, great Knowledge and beautiful cars
Talk about the right guy at the right place at the right time...Awesome cars.
Sick builds. Good video.
Labor of love! What this guy has made is nothing short of amazing! It is so funny that we are our own worst critics, nothing but respect for this guy.
Those are great builds! Thank you for sharing these. Certainly gives motivation to others to just get out and do, whatever it is they want to do.

Wow that V10 sound , $1800 that’s a steal
just watching video, idk how no one else is commenting on that. w ecu harness and trans for 1800 is cheaper than a fucking ej pull out motor...
You did an amazing job! Very well done 👏👏👏
These are both extremely impressive!!!
Yeahhh Martin!! Love it bro you the man!!

I've been following this guy for a few years. He is a maniac. I have no idea how to builds the insane shit he does and how he figured the wiring out.
Next one needs to be a V10 TFSI swap 😁 and hats off to you for these great projects!
Amazing work.
good job man 🤝🏽
Long overdue this guy is a genius when it comes to b5 modifications
I Always been a Big fan of this guy, crazy amazing work , Definitely deserves alot more recognition.👏. "The Frankenstein of B5's" 🙌
Really beautiful builds!
I follow this guy on Facebook. These are dream builds for me. Love his work and great video!
Great builds, nice owner.
Tx for sharing
Great work. I love the build
