I been buying Mochi icecream from my local grocery store n I love it, can't get enough of them! Lol they only have them sometimes n they have double chocolate chip, strawberry n mango n I like the ones at my grocery store because the actual mochi is flavored too and colored and they actually have chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream and mango ice cream in them! I've seen people that had them all white with different ice creams inside and I've seen nothing to wear just the outside it's colored and they all have just vanilla ice cream in them! So I really like the ones in my store.

I cooked it in the microwave and it was the same texture and taste of mochi with sticky rice flour exactly so literally that I doubted Rice type, if I do this will it be authentic mochi? Can I do this without a steamer ? Just place a saucer of sticky rice dough on a saucepan with a little water? And cook over medium heat for 15 minutes under a closed lid? And what is the difference between this method and heating the text in the microwave, as many do? The dough they really do not get so elastic

Beautiful mochi, if you add the food colour powder into the flour in the beginning, will it be easier to get a well blended mochi dough?
I used natural food color powder, they are heat sensitive and might change color after steaming.
