First time I tried it I made a mess, so I froze the cream and strawberry mix in round little shapes and placed them in the mochi dough. It was really easy and came out just like in the video
i tried making this yesterday and it was a fail :(( i think my microwave was too powerful so it made the mochi very very hard and it was impossible to kneed it. i tried again today and i was able to make it :)) unfortunately i didn’t really like the taste, the inside tasted good but the outside tasted like cake fondue and it felt raw to eat. won’t be making this again but the video was super cute!

I wouldn't have refrigerated it. Putting it into the fridge or freezer changes the consistency of the mochi causing it to become chewy instead of the pillowy softness it's supposed to be. which you can see in the video because when she was trying to pull them apart after having refrigerated them, they weren't pulling apart like melted cheese like it was when she had just finished kneading and rolling into balls. I usually just keep mochi out, covered, in a dry area and it lasts still tasting the same for a few days. A week at most I've kept mochi out like that and it still lasted tasting soft and delicious. I used to freeze them or put them in the fridge and just let it sit out or microwave afterwards, but it honestly doesn't taste the same. Also depending on if you have filling inside or not, microwaving them will ruin the whole thing. I mean, it all comes down to preference, so if you like it chewy then you'll be fine, just don't consistently freeze them over and over but, my preference is when it's freshly made softer than marshmallows.

I live in Canada and the mochi from superstore (presidents choice brand) is sooooo yummy. I tried the Costco one (natrul brand I think) and it was awful,,, even my toddler couldn’t finish one. Tasted like chewed gum
I have experience in eating strawberry flavoured sweets that have too much of the flavouring so seeing this gave me flashbacks (it's probably the way it looks round like the candy I was describing)
I think I remembered the name, it was pochi(?) Anyway I used to think they were too sweet with the strawberry flavouring being too much when I first tasted it, it was probably my first time eating it but ey, it was the thought that counts

딸기 우유떡이 첫 눈에 보아도 굉장히 맜있어서 넘쳐 흐를 것 같은 비쥬얼입니다. 정말이지 굉장히 맜있을 수 밖에 없는 조합이라 생각합니다. 또한 취향에 따라서 냉동실에서 잠시 얼리면 정말이지 엄청나게 맜있는 찹쌀떡 아이스크림까지 완벽합니다.
