  • We head over Silver Pass and reach a new milestone: 100 miles on the John Muir trail! Brittany admits thru hiking is harder than expected--and starts taking ibuprofen with breakfast. Andy decides it can't get better than our camp at Bear Creek. Spoiler alert: It gets even better than our camp at Bear Creek.

    // 🤷‍♂️ WHO ARE YOU? 🥾 //
    We’re Brittany and Andy, and in July 2021, we set off on a 200-mile journey that began in Yosemite National Park and ended at the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest mountain in the contiguous United States. Along the way, we questioned our sanity, made some amazing friends, cried real tears of joy and even started a new chapter in our lives. Come along with us as we document our journey from Bad Hikers to thru-hikers on the John Muir trail!

    How many times on trail did you get stopped by a ranger and asked to present your permit?

    What was the temperature up there? I can't hike all bundled up like that if it's over 65. I run hot.

      Temps were pretty warm during the day for us. 80's and 90's. The shirts are sun shirts so they are really breathable and prevent sun burn, which at elevation can be pretty nasty.
