This bike is the milestone before the advent of truly modern tech immersed superbikes. A veteran of the speed wars back in the day. The Hayabusa too. Any passionate motorcycle rider should ride one with the mindset of embracing the legacy these bikes carry. They were kings of the road and they can still hang with the upper echelons in the automotive world. Their time is slowly passing by but the mark they have left on motorcycle history is clear and probably will be always looked up with great admiration. Truly monsters of their time.
Nice discussion. For me, the more I ride anything else the more I love ZX14R. This bike is so much better. Stability for days, agile and predictable in corners, endless power which gives you full control over the situation on the road. Other bikes are shaky, missing power above 140km/h, less predictable, worse breaks most of the time, etc. ZX14R is just well made, and povides a great riding experiance. The moment you learn how to fully control this beast, this is when the joy of owning one kicks in.
I have a quick shifter on my ZX9-R. And it's awesome. Totally changed the riding experience. It's so good, I put one on my Honda interceptor 800. You should put one on your 14. Trust me. You'll wish you did, sooner. Peace.
I love large capacity IL4s, like the zzr14 and Busa, they make such great long term bikes, they're very happy to purr along whilst enjoying the scenery, or exciting you with their performance.
In the past , over the last 30 years , I have had 3 Honda Blackbirds , I have been on my Friends Busa through Europe and I now have the ZZR 1400 , let me tell you this Those Busa is not as good as the Blackbird or the ZZR 😊
Mine has carbon fiber wheels, super light sprockets, cam ,headers with single exit alien head, tune with a bunch of other blah blah blah and blah blah blah is all I can say when wide open it's actually difficult to grab another gear it's wanting to leave earth so quick shifter would be nice at the same time I love that about the bike it's just ballistic
Nothing gets off the line like one of these, I've had 5 of them and regretted selling all of them, I also own a ninja H2 & H2 sx, gen 3 busa, honda blackbird. Have owned many motorbikes and stand by comment ,in stanard form 😮
I’m debating between the zzr performance sport and a 2021 hayabusa, I’m leaning towards the busa with its sharpened up looks (never liked that huge hump of the original) , the cruise control is handy along with the quick shifter, can’t believe Kawasaki replaced this is Europe with that pig ugly h2!!, I’m happy Suzuki put the effort in with the busa!
concours 14 is like the ZX -14 but compfy low torque Mid V V T makes different and easy /power and long distance windshield /take panniers off its sport ect...best both worlds -see if you can debut one if can thanks ..its best i ever had .
The only thing im still not used to are the high footpegs. My hight is 6.1 feet. Compared to my zzr1100 my legs are less at ease on the zzr1400. I think maybe a lowered footpeg is the only thing i need
I'm really considering to get a zzr1400 but I have a big doubt about getting the standard suspension or olhins one I'm just wondering if is worth the difference on price as used ones in the UK have a price difference of about £2k if anyone had experienced both can let me know, And goblin keep doing this great content.
Back to basics, good Gobs. I don't care about a bike having, tech. I like a bike to be a bike and this bike has it all.. The engine has a sports powered engine, the weight and the size/shape dictates its not, some insurance companies class it as a hyper sports, this I believe is to hack up the insurance, it is a sports tourer.. If you have this bike unrestricted, it will be up to sports bike power..have it mapped..wellll... I like big bikes....check. Like bikes with torque and mid range... check. Good looking bikes with a slight and full retro look...check.. I've rode a hyabusa..its too aggressive riding style for a tall person like me.. For me, the best bike I've ever owned.. If it wasn't for the Emissions bs...this bike would be just as popular..Ulez and Emissions are killing our chosen transports...

I owned one of these. Phenomenal. Wish I never sold it.

I owned a gen 1 Hayabusa for 6 years none restricted, i now have a gen 1 zx/zzr14 and its far better than the hayabusa ...

Fan like you of the zx14R For me the best bike I also have a chain like you
A hello from France 🇨🇵
Had both the busa has better low mid range and the zx14 revs better at top. I prefer the busa.

I almost bought one, but lane filtering became legal and that bike just seemed too wide !
I have both.. Will never get bored of either. 😁
@@jimstenlund6017 It's not as wide as you think.. I filter all the time on mine.. The mirrors are the widest point.
@@DebsCrokaert The one I was looking at was a ex-police bike, had the chrome crash bars, so it looked really wide.
@@jimstenlund6017 So does mine.. I have the black ones from MCEnterprises.. Bath handles as some call them 😂... Still not as wide as the mirrors.
Always wanted one
I'm in the US and my insurance company lists this motorcycle as a a sport tourer.
Geico lists 2016 and before as a sport tourer and later models as supersport. I got a 2014 over a 2018 because it was half the cost to insure 😂
The only thing im still not used to are the high footpegs. My hight is 6.1 feet. Compared to my zzr1100 my legs are less at ease on the zzr1400. I think maybe a lowered footpeg is the only thing i need
❤the brand
