    Kawasaki does not allow to use side panniers with top case together because of weak subframe design. Thats for me the biggest issue of all. I have one too, have ride it now 10000km+. Good review, I agree with most of the pros and cons. Its also fine with 2up, I have ride about 4000km with pillion now. Only complain with pillion was that her calves was touching pannier corners, and it was unconfortable with long days. Bike is stabile with panniers and top case in speed of 227km/h and 2up 202km/h (driven in German autobahn), when it was windy day, even 200km/H was bit unstable, but in better day it was just fine faster.

      @@JouniKoistinen I have also heard this claim that the subframe of this motorcycle is not strong enough, so it can't use panniers and a top case together. Maybe this is why the subframe design of the Versys 1000 is different from that of the Ninja 1000SX, which might explain why the Versys 1000 can use panniers and a top case together. However, if you plan to ride two-up, based on my experience of riding and riding pillion on motorcycles, although I haven't encountered the issue you mentioned, an adventure bike might be better🤣, like the R1300GS or V-Strom, and even a V-Strom 650 might be better compared to the Ninja 1000SX.

    14:36 i thought it was just me. It feels like the gears are not always fully engage during upshifting, like there is a delay in throttle application after an upshift. Downshift is no issue.

    Probably the best sports-tourer out there, just too small for me.
    The reason for luggage restriction is purely high speed stability, but if you think about it no one is ever going to pin the throttle with luggage onboard anyway, so go for the 3-piece option with a 3rd party carrier.
    If you want real voltage sensitivity issues, buy a KTM ;-) My 1290 stays on charge 100% when not being ridden.

    • @NinjaBrosstudio
      @NinjaBrosstudio  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cpuuk I just like the Honda VFR series better because I have the freedom to choose between a top case and panniers, even if I don't need all three cases every time I go out. I've heard that KTM might have some electrical issues. For example, my friend has a Duke 890R, and he often can't start it because the battery doesn't hold a charge. That's why I ended up buying this bike instead of the 1290 Super Duke GT😂

    Had my SX 1000 2017 only done 21000 miles from new , its a brilliant bike for the money that's why I still have it I average 54 miles to a UK Gallon , I ride sensible average speed is 60 mph do have a mad blast occasionally unless on motorway then that's 70 mph
    My only issue is i struggle with hand neck shoulder numbness my age and health doesn't help, the only issue ive had is waped discs at 3000 miles and kawasaki wasn't at all helpful just out of warranty i emailed them several times phoned many times eventually they agreed to pay half 😢 WALES GB,

    • @NinjaBrosstudio
      @NinjaBrosstudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @martinhughes9769 I find the Ninja 1000SX to be a motorcycle with excellent stability at high speeds, while also being agile and nimble in corners. It strikes a great balance between sporty performance and comfort, making it ideal for highway cruising or long-distance travel.
      During our trips, the Ninja 1000SX often achieves over 20km/L in fuel efficiency. Although we haven't encountered issues and it continues to perform reliably even at high mileage, it's possible that dealers in different regions have perplexing approaches to handling issues. I imagine this isn't unique to the UK and might also be heard of in Taiwan.
      I'm sorry to hear about your health issues requiring you to reduce your riding. Although I can only judge based on the information you've provided and don't know your actual age, perhaps consulting with your GP, a neurologist, an orthopaedic surgeon, or a rehabilitation specialist might offer some solutions. In Taiwan, for instance, some people who suffer from neck nerve or brachial plexus damage or degeneration due to accidents, strokes, or simply aging find improvement, or even full recovery, through surgery.
      In any case, I hope that every rider who loves life and motorcycling can enjoy their riding freely. Best wishes.

  • @MUNRO13
    @MUNRO13 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I own one in the UK. I would make two corrections. The ABS is very noticeable, and not a good system in my experience, making harder braking, or sudden, medium braking, inconsistent. Secondly, I don't know what you're doing to make that chain adjuster slip, but if done properly, it is impossible.

    • @NinjaBrosstudio
      @NinjaBrosstudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MUNRO13 Thank you for your comment, but I have a few clarifications to make.
      The primary function of the ABS system or the KIBS system on this bike is not to shorten braking distances. Its main function is to prevent tyre slippage. When your braking force exceeds the frictional limit between the tyre and the ground, the system will rapidly release and reapply the brake at a high frequency, bringing the frictional force back within its limit. In this situation, you won't skid and will be able to regain control of the motorcycle.
      Therefore, if you find it difficult to brake or unable to apply more braking force to decelerate, it indicates that the ABS system has already been activated. Without the ABS system in this situation, your tyres might have already slipped, causing the vehicle to lose control.
      Regarding the noticeable operation of the ABS, I have no comments on that. However, compared to the ABS system on my previous bike, the MT-07, where the brake lever would shake noticeably when activated, the ABS system on the Ninja 1000SX is quite mild in operation.
      As for the chain adjuster, because its structure differs from the common types, we have observed that after several thousand kilometres of use following initial tightening, the chain adjuster on the left side of the vehicle tends to slide forward. This means the scales on the chain adjusters on both sides may slightly differ. Despite following the manufacturer's manual and using the correct method and torque to tighten it, this still occurs.
