    OMG this trick really worked! My watch hands both got stuck after replacing the battery. I searched the internet for hours for a solution. Slamming it a couple of times on a carton box did the trick. Thank you!

    My GA-2100BP had this issue and I was in absolute awe that just hitting the watch on the table would make the hands move again. This was a huge help, thanks!

    You the man! New to me GR-B200, hour and minute hands were stuck at 9:51, tried the hand set adjustment, tried an AC reset, tried everything and nothing worked. Dropped it about a foot and a half onto some bubble wrap on a table and the hands immediately shifted and was able to do a hand set. Thanks!

    Omg!! You save me. I thought I need to buy a new watch. Or at least the cost of the repair would cost half of the new watch and might as well buy a new one. Your method it works. Thank you thank you. If you have patron I ll send you a little something. Thank you so much.

    Thank you very much for posting this video. My G-Shock is a different model, the analog hands were stuck just like yours. I know it was near a magnet, I have been resetting it several times but this time I was ready to send it back for warranty. This simple trick worked like a charm. I appreciate you

    I'm soooo glad I took time to watch this! Was actually losing hope after watching several videos to sync it. I knew there's something wrong with the long and short dial coz it doesn't move no matter how hard I push the upper right and lower right button of my GG-1000 Mudmaster. The seconds dial was moving tho... I tried hitting it face down on the floor while on H-SET mode & tried to adjust if the dial will move... and surprisingly, it did after a few attempts.. Thank you for this video. At first, I thought this was a weird solution.. but it was actually THE solution. :)

    After the first attempt the minute hand has improved from fixed to 15 minutes of movement - after two more attempts the clock is now fully functional again (for 4 days now)

      @@edwardjski yes it did! , I hit it face down on a table, I put a cloth on top of it and that was it, I believe I hit it a couple of times and it did work, it’s been flawless since then. Remember this watches are shock proof so don’t worry about damaging anything.

    • @edwardjski
      @edwardjski ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@menjivar76 I was skeptical. I had tried this a while back without success but after reading your reply, when I got home today, I tried it. I whacked the watch against my dresser (using a pad of paper to slightly cushion the blow and protect the surface of the dresser. (I think previously I was afraid to hit it hard enough.)
      After three hits, the hands MOVED! I set the time and calibrated the hands all is well.
      I had just about given up hope.

    • @menjivar76
      @menjivar76 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@edwardjski glad it works !!, like I mentioned before my watch is been flawless since then, it’s about 8 months ago when I have the problem, I have more G Shock’s, different models and not issues with those, only this one in particular, is my favorite and I thought was the biting it gets, I ride dirt bikes and I was thinking the vibration was the problem , but after seeing this guy’s video I’m convinced is manufacturer’s issue .

  • @andrelemalle
    @andrelemalle 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have a GA1000 that has exactly this problem. I've been hitting it on a magazine on a table and no luck. Any hints? I was about to trash the watch. This post gave me hope that it might be saved. I keep hoping to get this method to work. No luck so far. Do you do it in any special mode? My second hand moves to zero when I go into H.SET, but after pressing MODE (D) to select hour and minute hand setting, I do get 0:00 in the lower display, but no luck adjusting them using B and E buttons. Knowing that a lot of you succeeded by hitting the watch on a flat surface is making this even 😮‍💨 more frustrating. This may have happened after a new battery install. Did others have this happen after new battery?

    This worked for me. Minute and hour hands were stuck. I had tried this method months ago without success but I think I was afraid to whack the watch hard enough. After several months I figured: What's the risk? -Either it would work or I would be replacing the module or watch anyway.
    I put a pad of paper on my dresser and gave the watch several good whacks against it. After the third hit, the hands began moving. After about 30 minutes, I noticed the hands had stopped moving. I gave it another whack and violà! Movement!
    I immediately performed the calibration procedure and so far the watch has been working correctly.

    If you have to slam down the watch to make it work this should mean there could be a gear jam from wear. As you said, since the gears are made with metal and are very sensitive, a magnetic field could make the watch not work properly. I would have tried a watch demagnetizer first before slamming it down.
    I have some mechanical/automatic watches. Because I am working with tablets and smart phones they do get magnetized. When these watches get magnetized they tend to run a bit fast. Properly using the demagnetizer fixes them. I had Casio watches where the compass started to not work properly. Demagnetizing the watch and re-calibration of the compass fixed it.
    Just recently I had a GG-1000 Casio watch stop working after about three years. The hands started to go out of sync to each other, but were moving. I called the Canadian service for this watch. They told me to send in the watch to them. After they received it they told me there was a failure in the module with one of the motors that drive the hands. They told me they must change the complete module. I approved to fix it. I have it back now and it is perfect!

    I'm taking a shot in the dark here but, is there a possibility these watches are counterfeit? I've noticed a lot of reviews online that state, the watches having this issue were fakes. As I said, I'm not making a blind assumption, just a possibility.
