Agree with your opinion on the lack of emotion. Regine was phenomenal when she sang this, full of longing as what the song is about. The way Mori sang it, it was as if she was mad at the situation she wishes was the other way around. Mori is a great singer, but for this type of song, Regine is just hard to beat.

The reason I clearly see why she is straining and struggling on those high chest/full voice is because when she started in the industry...she would always rely on her whistle when it comes to those very high notes. But right now she's minimizing her use of the whistle notes and using her chest voice which is not actually her comfort zone. I'm not saying she can't...all I'm saying is she's not used to using her chest at very high notes that is why it really looks strained and very forced. It even shows in her body language and head movements. :) just an honest observation po. :)

TBH Hindi kasing powerful nito ang version ni Regine. Normal lang sa kanya yung version ni Regine ilang beses na nyang napatunayan yon. You know Morisette she will bring the song to the highest level. This is only the result when too much is too much.

She was trying hard to copy Regine’s version, she even tried to it in a higher range but she failed. You cannot feel any emotion from Morosette, she was showing off but she failed. She pushed her voice too much and didn’t reach the climax because she didn’t have the correct breathing technique in this particular song. Watch her Deliver Challenge where she hit an A5 note, her Dont you worry about a thing (not the asap one) and etc we cant compare her to Regine, cos Regine is like her grandma haha Morissette is not yet on her prime she’s still 23 and already has the highest note record in the Ph!😉 anyways shes just tired on that video Regine also has a lot of videos with tired vocals and wasn’t able to hit the high notes.
