Cap - I just watched the Voyager episode with it last night. A neat ship with a lot of bells and whistles (TV version). Over all a fairly good offering from Eaglemoss. I like the x wing nacelles on this one. Cap - You broke your little ship!

Eaglemoss really should make an XL version of this model. Great design, deserves a larger model.
Sadly, not going to happen any time soon, next up is the Akira class starship USS thunderchild for the XL model treatment.

I dropped BSG(new version) and bust off the "radio" antenna thingy on the front. The "saucer" section looks like the that ship in voyager that was supposedly sent to ferry the voyager crew home
Just now it occured to me that a ship like the Prometheus would be a great setting for a TV show. Just by having the opportunity to split crew to different sections of the ship could serve as a great storytelling device not only for episodes but even arcs.
I always liked this ship. I wish they had done more with it.

I love Prometheus. So much so I have a fanfic in my head of a Prometheus class vessel captained by a legacy character.
I wonder if future multi vector ships might have nacelle more like the defiant on the arrow head section or maybe like the akira class.
This is the "one" model where you just wish that Eaglemoss could have gone the extra "Light year", and made the Prometheus a multi-part model. It just doesn't seem right to have a model of a Starship, whose greatest feature is "Multi-Vector-Attack Mode", not able to actually "simulate" it. Also, I don't think dropping it on the floor would have broken it into enough pieces to "manually" simulate it either, Captain Foley, Sir.

Hi Guys!!! Yea Cap, I wish the model could be split into the three parts, maybe with magnets embedded to hold it together. On the idea of splitting a starship, instead of splitting horizontally like a stack of plates, maybe the splitting could be done vertically, into sections? Just brainstorming. :-)
What is with Eaglemoss getting the sizes wrong on ships so often? The size of the Prometheus class should be 414 meters. Hey Eaglemoss I got 2 words for you, Memory Alpha, use it before putting out a new product!

The Prometheus is my favorite ship as well, was even tempted to buy it but other things come first I suppose. Anyway can some one please tell me how to make a model request to Eaglemoss? Because I really want a model of a 304 from stargate and even BSG gets more love and it only lasted a few seasons.
Paint job on deflector is sloppy, they should have used decals for deflector, windows, gridlines, etc.

Nice review, but stop with the digs at DSC. It gets old.
I know it was designed around the ‘multi vector assault mode’, but I think it would look better without the lower nacelles and backward slanting, more traditional, nacelles...like a little sovereign
i hate this design. why didnt they give it 6 nacelles. they had the perfect setup to justify that ridiculous number. instead they split the ship in the most unreasonable way and have to cheat a dum baby nacelle into the design for no good reason
