    who doesn't love Earth spacedock

    I think the dock door numbers correspond to the 360 degree circle. Is similar to how airports name their runways with the number from 1-36 depending on the direction of a compass (to the nearest 10 degrees) and removing the last 0

    When your house is cluttered with starships everywhere, here's the solution to put them all in one place 😁

    what this model needs is a tine Enterprise A to go with it in the box .....and tiny i mean the one from micromachines in the 90's...

      Get a star trek attack wing original enterprise that would probably be close to size with esd

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It would need to be even smaller. The Micromachines one wasn't 'that' small. Agree 100% though, a little Enterprise and Excelsior would be neat. Maybe EM should do a special set of small ships so they match up with stations like this and DS9? A little Defiant and a Galor cruiser would go well with DS9 also, cheers.

    You should be able to fix those antennas by heating them gently with a hair dryer and then beding them into the correct position.

    Not bad but some of the painted windows look like they have been printed on at odd angles.

    Door 7, *15*, 21 and 28? Is someone just really trying to trigger people with OCD?

    Thanks for the review, it's one of my favorite space constructs! No booklet and questionable detail, so hopefully it's a prototype to gauge interest in a better one.

      Marq See If it was just released often times they don’t ship the model and booklets together. The book usually shows up one to two weeks later.

    It's alright. It isn't Forge World quality, but probably doesn't cost as much.

    I had a heck of a brain storm. You know they have those floating globes ? Do the same thing with this and it would be floating in air.

      What floating globes are you talking about? I am intrigued!

    We need to have a Star Wars battle around a Federation Spacedock.

    Cant believe they would send you an imperfect model to review. Makes me wonder what they send to other people. Thx for rhe review. Wanted this for awhile.

    Overall very nice. but for the money you will pay for it the seems are inexcusable. antenna array should be molded separately will yield better detail.

    Cardasians: we put a space station in orbit of bajor.
    Federation: Hold my beer
    I always loved space dock since I first saw it as a kid in the movie. But considering the reliability issues star fleet equipment had “looking at you enterprise d” I don’t think I want that thing that close to earth.
    If it’s orbit decays an comes down it be a real bad day

    • @Jack_Stafford
      @Jack_Stafford 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When I first saw this in movies it blew my freaking mind way, the biggest thing we've ever seen built by the Federation were the Enterprise and spacians like K7. This thing clearly was inspired by the super large constructions in Star Wars, like the Death Star. Absolutely beautiful design and they did a great job of making the inside match the outside, and really portrays are the antennas the incredible size that Earth's main space stock would need in order to be able to protect the Federation Capital. Amazing!

    • @Jack_Stafford
      @Jack_Stafford 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The top of it always reminded me of Star Trek version of cloud city, but with a whole lot more going on below as well.
      ILM Are incredible! They don't get nearly the credit they deserve for the absolute Revolution they created in movie special effects!

      I have to admit it is something that was awe inspiring. I don’t know if this was the case but I always imagined that inside was a breathable environment like a “dry dock” but for a space ship. It would be a lot easier for work crews to freely walk around the exterior of the ship outside of a worker bee or suit patching holes an scrubbing the disrupter burns off the paint

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think they had a special bay set aside just for the Enterprise? Seems as if it needed a lot of fresh paint, a lot of the time.
