100% this. So many larger lazy channels have review videos that are no where near as complete it’s this. No idea why videos like this don’t get more views. The algo is useless.
Appreciate you noticing. I'm sure the other ones you see still have value in them. Making these types of videos are extremely difficult and time consuming if you want them done right, especially when you don't have a production team.
BenQ has been my go to for almost a decade, and I'm running two of them right now (one for gaming and one for recording and the interwebz). They've always been a really good compromise of quality and price imo. Good to see they did well in your review, Sarah!
I’m not really on the market to buy a new monitor but I really love how you made this video comparing the two monitors. Pretty detailed! Really hoping they bring down the prices of these monitors though.
I really appreciate the style of this review, not just an unboxing video sponsered by the manufacturer that just repeat all the claimed features/tech, you spent long enough time to give an realistic and detailed review of the product with a comparable, fantastic independent review!
Yes, there is no lazy in this one. This was great. I would like to see other monitors though, once that are in a more affordable tier as the majority of us aren't spending for 4K.
one of the best reviews ive seen in a while, very detailed and you broke down all the important stuff with no extra yapping like other youtubers. i found the benQ for 200$ used and i think it's a great deal for all these features. good job and keep it up

Been gaming on a BENQ GW2765-T for ages, absolutely fantastic monitor. But, sadly, time for an upgrade as it doesn't do justice to the 3070 in my new build. Been reseaching/shopping for about a month and ran across this review. Sticking with BENQ and getting the Mobiuz EX2710U. Best monitor review I have viewed (and I have viewed dozens lately). Thanks!!!! ps. that God of War build is sick! Just raised the bar dramatically for my next build.
Thanks for that! Btw, are you in the U.S.? I need to clear some space and getting rid of some of my monitors for extremely cheap. Including the mobiuz.
Just curious, was the reason why you were shying away form them because you had a bad experience with them? Or was it just more about going with a more mainstream brand?
@@SnaxanGaming no was going to try something new. But the Mobiuz seems more better compatible with the new gen consoles. I was using zowie's for the previous gens and PC. If I remember correctly BenQ and Zowie didn't have much for being optimal for the new gen consoles. But I never had any issues with the monitors I had. They worked well with what I used them with.
One thing. I believe the microphone entry in the menu is for the embedded microphone. I think it only works if you have the upstream USB type B connected.
true, if you play any game with a static image, like lets say MMO like World of Warcraft with the same UI for 8h a day then yeah the OLED is dead in like 3-6 months with burn in, sucks tho but i don't see them fixing that.
I REALLY appreciate you making this review. I just stumbled onto the EX2710U after looking for many 4k 144hz+ options, this one was never mentioned. I did purchase the LG 27GP95R-B two weeks back (it's the same as the GP950R except without RGB) for $500 (10% off on LG right now from $550). I have to return both of them though because these monitors have many frustrations with Mac OS. For one, the monitor's firmware does not allow for Mac OS to recognize the monitor as an audio output device with the headphones plugged in. Also, 95% of the time, I can't get picture onto the monitor from my Macbook, just a black screen. I have to constantly restart the computer / reseat the cables for about 30 minutes for it to finally work. None of these issues are apparent on the PC side of things but I do my productivity work during the day on my Mac and so those monitors unfortunately have to go back. I'm staying away from LG also because dealing with their customer support over these issues has been a nightmare. Really considering the BenQ now. Are you able to do a quick test of a Mac OS device with the BenQ to ensure it recognizes the display, shows picture and is recognized as an audio output device with headphones plugged in?
Currently travelling but would be happy to plug in my macbook to see if it works. I'd have to find time though because I would have to move the monitor and take out HDMI cable which is difficult to do since everything is all set and locked in with cable management. One thing to check tho, you probably are did i would guess, before you write off the LG is the video output settings in the mac and make sure they agree with the LG.
@@SnaxanGaming yeah I definitely checked that but no worries on checking the MBP detection and going through that hassle. I've seen a few testimonies now from reviews that a few users have used MBP with this monitor. The LG monitors I have do show up in the Mac OS Display settings, there's just nothing but a lit up black screen that shows on the displays and I ensured that the displays are set to extended, not off. If I do a few computer restarts, turn off the monitor, and turn them on when I reach the login screen, there is a slight chance that the picture shows up, but it's frustrating to deal with as it's not always that picture shows up on BOTH monitors, sometimes it's only one. It's just not reliably consistent with two MBP devices I have tested. Windows devices have 0 issues. I'm even a bit weary of the EX2710U myself as I know they both share the same LG panel. Currently also considering the HP Omen 27K, Asus PG27UQR and MSI MAG274UPF. Great review by the way, love the content. Subbed :)

How Is the OLED monitor to work on - I know it's great for gaming but I need both and I have seen people going back to regular monitors because they weren't suitable to work on as an office monitor but that was when the first OLED monitor came out - and what about burn in and retention - I have 3 OLED Tv's and don't have the problem on them but I don't use them with static images like when you do office work.
Great test! To be honest I don't know which monitor I'm getting next - everytime I read something or see a review I have doubts - Well I guess my current monitor is okay :O)
Thank you for your work. Both monitors use the same LG Display LM270WR8-SSA1 matrix (called NanoIPS). There is a possibility that for BenQ is a slightly different selection of panels. Maybe there will be different screen coatings. And also the level of backlights, their character depends on the case itself. If in some places the matrix will be strongly pressed or not pressed, it is possible that the backlight level will change. Therefore, the quality of the case is also very important. And if the manufacturer BenQ will try, they can get a better result than LG itself. But what I'm really curious about is whether these monitors have the same screen coating, matte or semi-matte?
