Ok
Hi
You got it
Is good to know that people with similar condition to mine also play videogames 👍
cheese
This made my year. I'm getting better with it too!
Can't wait to see your progress! We'll have to get you set up with the camera tracking so you can mirror your hand -- or let people on stream control it with their hands!!
Good luck on your gaming journey
@@theHacksmiththis was a beautiful collab. W for hacksmith and shoutout Jesse for being a cool genuine guy.
This was a cool project!
Jesse I am subbing to you with post notifactions
Nice of you to give him a hand! Really kind of you. Guess this makes Hacksmith an arms dealer now !
Underrated comment lol
No, this is to funny!
i just choked on my food
This needs to be number one comment. @theHacksmith pin this!
haha. Working hand-in-hand with international players no less.
As a dad of a child missing an arm, it's really encouraging to see how far the technology has come the last 10 years, I hope one day I can get her something like this !
Bless you for doing this for Jessy, his face was pure joy! I hope it makes a positive difference for him 🙏
Yo man I wish you the best 🙏
I hope one day I can build or help build one for someone. One of the big reasons I got into making stuff and 3d printing.
@@ChrisModjeska You will find success for sure! Don't lose hope bro
As a grown as man of 35 with two young sons, this shit almost made me cry. The smile on this kids face is priceless. Well done.
his face when he grabbed the other hand said everything!
oh hey youtube
Hi yo u don’t have many like let’s fix that
I bet this is gonna blow up in some days or something 😂
So weird to see literally TH-cam with 24 likes lol

Howdy mr engineer man! Hope you’re doing well :)
I love how people under short version of this are like “he made him into winter soldier” but here everyone is appreciating your work
This is AMAZING and inspiring. Well done 👏🏼
The fun part is. This is also a form of stress testing. If he were to collab with them any data he collects would help with future versions.
thats partly how usage data & analytics/QA works...
@@downivorylane - Lets hope that he shares the data gathered by the app to send back to them on a daily basis. Though being an R&D model it likely is doing that without it being an option, they will want to know its working so probably part of the conditions of the loan, which the legal side of all we wont even hear about.
you are correct, the way a new technology is tested is to basically give it out for free, collect data, and revise designs and software
this kid being given the most amazing gift he could ever get for christmas is going to help future limbic challenged individuals be more normal
pretty sure they already do that, with or without him lol
@@Atomicitalia Stress testing in a real world environment vs lab can show different results. Especially depending on certain locational differences. With him they can have a variety of repeated tests just from him having it. IE repeated movements over a few years. Due to hacksmith they can learn if it creates something such as a vibration that could be harmful to either the product, the attachment point, or the potential for the person.. Things like that. Another thing is how long will it last with what can be somewhat expected as standard use vs actual use. If they run lab tests with what they believe would be standard use and he uses it differently. Well to put it in terms I actually understand. Its like having the devs play a game vs the public. The public will find a lot more bugs than the devs 99% of the time.
His reaction to having a working arm is absolutely priceless. Especially when he realises he can keep it. Love the work that you do.
THE arm was moving so crazly when he found out was beautiful
He reminds me of Lando Norris.
The utter joy in his face when he was catching things for the first time. I love this. Great job!
That's so funny, I was trying to think of who he reminded me of, you're totally right! Heartwarming video
@LfrJacc totally.
For real, this streamer had been popping up in my TH-cam feed for too long, and I'm glad he won't make me emotional no more 😊. Very kind of you! This is a "Proof Mr. Hacksmith has a heart"....
He has functioning nubs on the end of his arm, those could probably be used to make an even better hand, but that would be a very custom process. This is an awesome job all!
I was thinking the same thing
I was thinking the same, since the arm is modular a better hand could be added later. But for more granular input, myoelectrodes would need to be surgically implanted in the residual limb.
I'm sure they love working on projects like this, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did a followup video with upgrades.
perhaps some buttons inside the silicone sleeve that correspond to mouse clicks.
That would be wonderful, and it makes a lot of sense!
I love that the hand itself conveyed his emotions when he found out that it's his and he gets to keep it. I can't wait to see what Psyonic comes up with in the future as upgrades to this RnD hand.
17:32 btw
"it is more blessed to give than to receive". this is a prime example. Amazing to see this
It's incredible how quickly he got it to work. His reaction was priceless and I hope more lucky people will get to have one of these. I'm 37 years old and I remember clearly when I was a kid I saw a man with a hook and I asked my mom why nobody was making robotic hand that would use the remaining muscles/nerves to make a working hand. It was 25 years ago. I guess I was ahead of my time because this is basically what i had in mind as a kid/teen. Next step would be a working wrist, and some force feedback for the user to measure the grip. I know they have something about the force feedback, but I'm not sure it's ready yet. I'd love to speak to them and ask a ton of questions to know how it works.
Love his reaction when he realized that he gets to keep the hand. And the tears kicking in slowly as he starts realizing it's real.
Not to mention hes basicly a meta runner now
With this prosthetic and your prototype lightsabers, we're growing ever closer to a vader-like human.
Next thing you know they'll make a vader helmet rebreather/gas mask with heat vision
Wanna see some hulk type serum next 😳😳😳
Or space marines from W40K or StarCraft…
Dude, I'm so happy for Jessie. He definitely deserved that hand. I've been watching him for a while now 👑❤❤
That kid seems really smart. Watching him discover the different features of the arm with such joy is a delight.
The company making the arms doesn't look bad. I hope they succeed and this kid can get unlimited support for his arm.
This is what real humans should be... Thanks to Psyonic you and everyone involved to help this kid.
Aren’t they the guys who made rocket league (pysonic) ?

Jesse's reaction was priceless. Outstanding use of technology to bring such a meaningful change in someone's life. Kudos to everyone involved in making this happen!
This was the most emotional thing The Hacksmith has ever done. Incredible how well it worked.
And one of the best parts is he is now probably one of, if not THE COOLEST GAMER EVER
I love how happy he is once he's using it heel use it forever it is so cool how far they've come
One of the most moving videos I have seen on all of TH-cam to date... This boy's expression of genuine happiness is a treasure in itself. Really well done.
Logan has been such a wonderful addition to the team, the things he makes are beautiful!
i just love logans energy, mainly in the zelda vid
Hacksmith's plan to become iron man;
1. Become an arms dealer (cuz he made and gave away an arm)
2. Get kidnapped
3. Escape in iron man suit
Edit: thanks for likes
Nice one
I am also a Naraka player. Dude you've gotta a big heart man. Hats off to ya. People need to be linke you.
I love Naraka and I can say that playing it with 2 hands is difficult, it's very impressive that someone can play with one hand and thank you for giving that cool gift to that guy
This is amazing, I have always been a big fan of hacksmith but this is one of the most wholesome videos I've ever seen by them. The arm looks so cool too. Love your work hacksmith industries, look forward to seeing more in the future
Thanks for the heart hacksmith :)

ah yes , The Hacksmith noticed you. get ready for your next arm (i hope :] )🔥🔥🔥
His surprise and happiness at being told he gets to keep the hand is great but also could you imagine doing all this and *not* doing that? That would be so mean lmao

The joy on his face really made my day. Huge thanks to your team for entertaining us with this video and making Jesse's life easier as well
Everyone involved in this just straight-up changed this kids life for the better. Good on all of you!
Logan. I have been following for since years. Since you rocked that Tony Stark beard . This video shows what you have become. So proud of you and your team.
Logans new here! I'm James!
Been following him for years and still got his name wrong 🤦♂️🤣
Wow you replied!! Thats like Christmas for me.@@theHacksmith Sorry. James. You face looks like Logan. The Wolverine. xD
I am getting old. And getting worse with names. I hope its not that serious. 😅@@itsnotthatserious9102
Hey James@@theHacksmith , I remember you creating a hydraulic arm to lift heavy stuffs. So I went back to your old videos and I found it. That project of yours is massive with an actual arm inside. And you got a friend now who can actually use a hydraulic arm but compact human size inside a shell , one that can lift reasonable humane weight so it wont require huge amount of batteries. Call it Mark II version of your Mark I arm. Then maybe a Mark III version that works on senses from nerves. I remember a guy on TED , he demonstrated an arm of a person moving or reacting to electric signals generated from arm of another person. Mark IV can have built in mobile like Buzz the lightyear 😅
U guys are hands down the best.. He deserved it ... I pray u guys have the best year ever
His reaction is priceless! What you did is very sweet. Being the Hacksmith, we all know you did it because you wanted to and not for the views. Congratulations on you and the team for changing this dude's life for the better!
It's companies and people like you and your team that help restore my faith in humanity. Being a disabled gamer myself, thank you Hacksmith Industries for being who you are, and inspiring minds and hearts all around the globe. We appreciate you all
I'm accustomed to using only my right hand due to a hemiparesis which limits my left side's abilities, but I've grown used to it. I have actually been through worse... "What could be worse than having almost no control over an entire side of your body," you might be wondering, and I have the answer; I went through brain cancer. I beat it, and now I'm rehabilitating my left side pretty efficiently. Either way, love your content!
Respect to you.👍
This man is built different (in a good way)!!
I also have hemiparesis but mine is from like mid abdomen down I've had five spine surgeries since 2013 three different surgeries on my legs I've had three brain surgeries with six parts of my skull removed also dealing with kidney cancer and an orbital ocular eye tumor that is causing me to go blind and deaf on one side so yeah I understand your pain and suffering
@@drknralh8624 I've had a lot of support and help, plus physical therapy. It helps a lot and keeps my physical strength up. Another thing that's helped me has been keeping a positive mindset about all these struggles. Really the only problem I've encountered has been the fact that my left side is... derpy. I have an AFO leg brace that helps correct my left leg, so that problem has been temporarily solved, and I'm training my left arm daily with things like Legos, Nerf wars, video games, and so on. I wish you only the best and hope these tips and tricks of mine can help you with your struggle.
I'd say that the excitement on a person's face during this kinda moment is worth any amount of money. Im so happy some who have the money understand this 😊❤️🎇🎆 congratulations to the builder the sponsor and the kid. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
I wish I can share a pic of my left arm I was born without my radius bone and have Radial clubbed arm/hand. I just want to say Jesse you rock and keep living life to the fullest and to Hacksmith bless you for creating dreams for kids, teens, adults and creating these prosthetics that further individuals like Jesse's awesomeness! Very wholesome!!! Sincerely Chris Lange.
This sounds like the origin story for a Jedi Knight, all he needs now is a Hacksmith lightsaber and some training. May the force be with you.
This is why I love TH-cam. People like you make such a big impact in this world is a massively positive way. Keep changing the world guys. It’s so much fun to watch.

This video had me in tears, and it was so, SO wholesome to see Jesse's reaction. Love to see people spreading love and kindness ♥ Love y'all
Seeing Jesse's reaction completely made the whole project worth it. I love videos like this, I am excited to see what else Hacksmith Industries does next.
I'm a mechanical engineering student at UCSD which is very close to PSYONIC's headquarters. I really hope I could secure an internship there because the stuff they do is just so amazing
Hacksmith is so incredibly awesome!! The fact they can make an iron man laser arm, then make an arm for people who truly need it is just amazing. To everyone on the team, keep up the great work!
I'm glad he got to keep it, and his reaction was well worth it.
Love this! This is what success and innovation should be used for. You can see just how happy he is and how quickly it is changing him. At 17:50, you can see him already starting to talk with both hands where the prosthetic is almost matching what his right hand is doing. Its crazy!
That was such an amazing life hanging thing to do. Bless you for your kindness and making a difference in someone's life.

It's crazy the feelings you get when you see Jesse so amazed and happy about grabbing something with his hand, when it's something you do daily without a care in the world. It makes me remember that we can't take everything for granted, and to be grateful of everything we have, no matter how small it may seem.
And of course, it also reminds me of how amazing you guys are, and that there are many good things that can and have to be done. I better keep focusing on doing that in my own way too. Genuinely happy for Jesse, mainly considering I watch him too. Great job, hacksmith!
This is so stinking cool! The technology used to design something like this is absolutely amazing!
When tech geniuses and pure kindness collide, amazing results occur. Awesome job guys!
I got low-key tears of joy & happiness for this streamer. You guys at Goated for this
So glad to see James doing better after his mental health vacation. It is so awesome for you guys to do stuff like this.
Seeing Jessy have to, for the first time EVER, work out reflexes on his disabled hand is literally a work of science and art and nature in conjunction. We are slowly but surely eradicating all that disables people from their ideal lives, and I seriously hope anyone who has had to put up with any kind of sub-standard life will find liberation in the endless possibilities of tech negating the limitations of nature itself.
Imagine working at like a grocery store or something, then a dude with an entire golden arm with mechanical sounds drops a chocolate milk and some cash on the counter and leaves
you guys are truly awesome! Makes me glad to be a member of this channel.
This is all so cool to see! I’ve been a clinician in the field of Prosthetics for about a year now since getting my degree. I’m glad people outside the field are giving it a shot. Such an overlooked community. You guys chose probably the best myoelectric hand out there. I’ve met the CEO and founder once before and he’s a super cool and knowledgeable guy! Keep it up!
The real future of Hachsmith industrys has arrived!!!! Amazing prosthetic limbs to help the people that really need it....needless to say....life changing!!!!!
You always make great and creative videos but this is just heartwarming thank you for making the world better ! ❤
I didn't know that we were this close to having actual cybernetics for people. That is very impressive and I'm glad that you gave this man a hand he can use freely.
This is so heartwarming. Quite literally changed this young man's life. He'll have such a huge change now and in the future. Great way to close out the year.
Okay, I already know what I will do when I'm done with mechanical engineering, this was magnificent
This was such a heartwarming one to watch, absolutely delighted for Jesse! ❤
In 1999 when I was a senior, for my end of the year biology project I designed a bionic hand that had titanium skeleton, polymer muscles and microfilament wire to connect it to the nerves and make the muscles fire. Teflon tendons, too. I built a mock up of it from balsa and fiber model airplane hinges, and used elastic and servos with twine to act as the muscles and tendons.
Thats nice man
Jessies' smile said it all. God bless Jessie, the Hacksmith team, Psyonics and the gaming company
That's actually brilliant. For a while, I wondered what could be used for fine tuning on a personal level when it comes to standardized bionics and anything that intercepts brain signals is WAY too in-depth to be useful, but LITERALLY ALMOST EVERYONE carries a tiny over-engineered computer in their pocket that can be used as a processing booster to bionic limb calculations. It doesn't even need to be WiFi connected, so you could, theoretically, drive through a subterranean tunnel without losing connection during a drive with TWO hands.
Fantastic work! And he is so happy. Imagine these in the future!
You've gone down a really heartwarming path with your videos as of late and it's really awesome man. We're in awe of your genius coupled with such kindness!
A few years ago I was playing an mmorpg and learned that one of my guildmate was born with only 1 arm, and he was one of the best player I known, if I had a choice to choose to take him in a party or someone with nearly twice as more gear, I'll still chose him...
No idea what he became as we both stopped playing the game but man...
The smile on his face was just priceless, that there is true happiness
The way he seemed kinda defeated trying it out but then when you said its his he couldn't stop smiling
This is the best video you guys have ever made. The best project you've ever done.
Oh don't get me wrong, I love all the cool pop culture stuff. The lightsabers are rad. The Iron man helmet and repulsor? Super cool. The batcave? Awesome.
But this had an impact that will reach far more than just Jessie. This is humanitarian work, and there is nothing more important, inspiring, or worthy of praise than that.
I've always been a big fan of Hacksmith Industries, even when it was still "The Hacksmith." But this is the most proud I've ever been to be a fan. This simple kindness is exactly what the world needs. And you guys should be proud to have fostered that at Hacksmith Industries.
This was sweet, guys. I lost the use of my dominant hand at 27 due to medical error on a simple surgery (I still have my hand, but only 30% use and bad chronic pain). I know first hand (bad pun) how wonderful and life changing it would be.
Keep being awesome 💜
