Too bad they went to a subscription model. Instead of getting all of the features of the bed included in the $2000 like James did a year ago. Now you have to pay $180-$288 a year for anything more than an on off switch for the heating and cooling.

oh man this really really cool but that elevator makes me sooooo nervous about pinch risk. feels like it would be way to easy to crush a toe or finger as it shuts. that and I'd love to see what the co2 levels look like in that room after a couple hours of habitation - people constantly underestimate the negative cognitive and mood effects of poor indoor ventilation and i hope you took steps to pay attention to that.
I think a post just above waist-height to put your hand on like a cane would make the elevator much better to use. And some cross-bracing because it looks so shake-y!
@@chrisc1140 honestly i wouldn't use it without a fully walled cage around all four sides. small enough to avoid poking fingers through. this is just asking for a severe toe or finger crush/shear injury
I’d get a co2 sensor thing
this is the coolest thing you built in this catagory. way better than the sleeping pod and bat cave. definitely my favourite. btw i liked the leanord snart reference.

"You are you to stand up to Vandal Savage?!"
"Leonard Snart Robber of ATMs!"
God I loved that reference.
this build is so beautiful its like my dream secret room. thanks to all the member who build this, this wouldn't happen without them.
Hi James, I love Superheroes and superpowers! And I would LOVE if you could answer these two questions:
Who's your favorite superhero and why?
If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
9:35 not gonna pretend to be an expert, but to my knowlegde, romans used round arches, the invention of the pointed arch was what started the gothic age, because a round arch distributes all the force to the side, while a pointed arch pushes mostly downwards, allowing for much higher structures (>gothic churches)
Awesome build, looking at the eight sleep really got me thinking “it’s almost 2024 and we’ve been using more or less the same mattress technology since the 50’s”. Love to see innovation in the place where you spend 1/4-1/3 of your life.
Too bad they went to a subscription model. Instead of getting all of the features of the bed included in the $2000 like James did a year ago. Now you have to pay $180-$288 a year for anything more than an on off switch for the heating and cooling.
That's the thing, innovation is not needed with the bed. Lay down, go to sleep; that's it. Don't try to fix it if it's not broken.
@@spankyjeffro5320 there’s definitely benefits to perusing better sleep technology such as reducing back pain and precise climate control. I see the technology mimicking things like being swaddled or being able to create perfect contours to aid in spine alignment. There’s also recovery benefits like cooling and heating cycles to relax your muscles.
50`s? More like 1800`s.
@@alexturnbackthearmy1907 the last big innovation in sleep was synthetic foams
Nice Lenard Snart CW Flash reference
I noticed that too!!!
the leonard snart approach to planning is the way i live my life i love it
10:37 omega mart. (You have no idea what's in store for you)
