Great work Ross 👏 👍 👌 💪 🙌
Titan Forge = BAD LINK - sort it out!!
@@GodonstiltsWorks fine for me?! what are you getting?
@@FauxHammer The "e" is missing from "forge" above in this pinned comment, and getting an error.
@@Godonstilts Oh Crap! i looked in the description where it's fine. good spot mate! Thankyou!
As a small creator hocking my wares on MyMiniFactory, it nice to show just how much work goes into creating the minis we play with. I often get overloaded with being just a single person trying to do marketing, sculpting, supports, concept art, and all around coming up with the all the ideas myself.
My choice of printer to use is what is affordable to maybe the average user, so seeing an older printer being used is also good. I chose what I did because of good experience, and the fact it was a decent price (Mars 3). Again, my decision on printer was what I had used before, price, and thinking about the average hobbyist and what they might have.
Big fan of this behind the scenes reporting. Really cool to see my printer (that your review helped me choose) being used at scale like this.
JUST WANTED TO SAY AGAIN THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP/ADVICE/DIAGNOSIS OF MY RESIN PRINTER A COUPLE O WEEKS AGO. YOUR CHANNEL IS ONE OF THE MOST INFORMATIVE & COMPREHENCIVE PRINTER CHANNELS ON TH-cam & YOU'RE ACCESSABLE. THANK YOU MY FRIEND.
I sincerely hope this message reaches at least one STL creator turned physical product vendor. If you are not doing part separation like we have in Gundam, do not bother with plastic. Unless you're spending time and effort into making the building phase an enjoyable process that could create unique painting opportunities, I don't want it. I don't want to clunkily put together a giant lizard's head and hope there's no visible gap. Here's a better example - imagine of my chaos space marines had their gold trim as a separate part that I can paint all shiny and then snap it onto a matte armor. If you're not aiming for that, just give me the cheaper resin models I can buy hundreds of.
I'm Polish and I bought the X 6Ks based on, amongst other things, your review, Titan Forge was also my first patreon sub
I’m guessing this video resonated 3 ways… ❤️❤️
I can feel your fascination for the hobby, the people behind it and for the whole Worlds Beyond campaign and it makes me feel as if I should quit my job today and join one of the teams out there.
Thank you for this great behind the scenes video and for the love you felt whilst creating it!
Yeah I loved your journalistic approach. It gives depth to your channel imo. Also, it was nice to know how they work as a company and their molding process was a new discovery. Keep it up, love the content. Also, I can relate about last minute cancelling family plans with business. Hope she didn't went too hard on you 😂
Ross, really appreciate you doing this, I didn't know I needed a video like this but I did, just had no clue how much work went into these monthly releases, it was really great to see
This was a fantastic video. Great to see the behind the scenes of Titan forge.
Your videos are by far the best, most unbias reviews going on the printing hobby.
I really enjoyed this formatting! I'm excited for any videos you put out in this format.
Definitely like this look into the industry, and would happily watch more alongside the reviews
I-JUST-LOVE-TITAN-FORGE-ART-DIRECTION!!! IMHO it's just the best balance beside GW between nicely detailed realism and cartoon fantasy. And its consistent month after month. Thank you for the shoutout.
This was truly eye-opening. I've been curious about the workflow of all these gorgeous models, and I'm blown away by the amount of effort put into their design. I'd also wondered about the equipment used. That they can get such awesome results out of a machine I can eventually afford, makes me even more interested in getting into the hobby. Right now I'm on the sidelines looking in, but videos like this get me that much closer to taking the plunge.
So, yes, I'm very interested in more presentation-type content along with the reviews. This was great!
For the record, i *like* that your promotions are with cool stl makers; they're both on topic and informative!
Excellent video and insight into the industry! Thank you, Ross!
This is probably your best vid to date, well worth all the hard work that is no doubt behind it.
1:43 Man really was in the dog box there lol. So much love for the work you do Ross!
Yep, gonna be using a printer farm for the manufacturing of my upcoming miniature game. What was the game changer was flexible resin designed for table top gaming. Now you have the durability of pvc minis with the ease of working of resin miniatures. It also cuts out so many middlemen which is handy for a small studio.
So I know I'm biased. But I love videos like this, getting behind the scenes at creator offices and such. Seeing how the stuff I love is made and a glimpse at the people who made it. It's why I also love other videos from other creators that tour Painting Manufacturers, mini factories, etc.
Hope this isn't the last one of these you make!
It isn't, MyMiniFactory coming soon. and one day, hopefully, somehow.... OPR?!
Love this format! Thanks for the research and reporting. Still loving my 6Ks.
Thanks….
Love the format and the promotion of passionate and creative people. I recently supported the Frontier of Titan Forge Miniatures Dwarven Holds, I'm still amazed to basically have a whole army of Dwarves to print for less than a box of regular GW minis.
And this is just Titan Forge Minis, there are plenty of other talented artists with different styles for all the armies of Fantasy and more.
This was great, keep up the good work Ross
Thanks, will do!
It was great to see behind the scenes to see how the pros do things
Very enjoyable watch!
Absolutely great work dude, this was super interesting. Love getting a peak behind the curtain so to speak. 😅
I enjoyed this vlog style video Ross and the behind the scenes at Titan Forge was fascinating. Great video and yeah, your ads, sponsors are always relevant. I don't mind them at all, it is indeed preferable to someone trying to sell me on the newest, greenest energy supplement, which no way in Hell am I ever going to drink. Great stuff as always )O(
Maybe my favorite video you have released.
Please, more of videos like this! And not just because I live closer to Poland than to my parents :D I love the idea of the initiative. This might give me opportunity to bring some friends to war gaming...although I will be the printing and painting force :D
Thank you so much for sharing the people behind the future of wargaming. I knew that this would be exactly what was needed for the hobby from just the feelings I had about it, but this video and these wonderful people are the reason I am getting back into the hobby after dropping it in highschool. This is what the hobby should have been from the start! Friendly, easy, and accessible to anyone!
Also. I did REALLY enjoy this video. Good job, Sir!!!
I'm just about to open my own shop. Early days. Love 3d Printing.
Thanks so much for doing these videos. I've recently discovered your channel and have been watching all the Resin Printer-related videos I can. Do you plan to do a review for the upcoming Anycubic Mono M7 Pro? I'm tempted by its reduced preorder price and the keen new features, but I am wary of any negative surprises.
Great video mate, love to see this sort of behind the curtain stuff
thanks brother!
This was a fantastic video. As an illustrator working in game design I love that there's a behind the scenes in what we do (designers, I don't work for TitanForge). But the discussion on One Page Rules got a giggle when you described as iPhone and OPR as Android got me. Looking forward to the Worlds Beyond release!
Awww I’d love to see that post lol!!!
Great Video. I love OPR and TitanForge
This was great. I like this style of video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
There's something to be said for telling people how it is. That's something that's missing nowadays, and one of the reasons I sub to you on youtube. Appreciate the content and keep er coming!
Great video! I'd say 8k is where we fully crossed the uncanny valley, where minis print exactly like the stl looks. While 6k can achieve awesome results, 8k seems to be the sweet spot for our visual acuity, where once you prime something, the layer lines are completely invisible, where 6k was a little more hit and miss on this. Now, it's about features, ease of use, and customer service.
Man do I appreciate you
And I appreciate you.
So so interesting ! Thank you for sharing with us !!
And for sure this is the future of the hobby, it's dirt cheap, I am ashamed of the money I've spent on my ork army :X
You mentioned the type of casting in the video and I’m afraid the closed caption wasn’t up to task. What type of casting was mentioned? Seal casting? Seer Casting? Auto caption even had SOEC casting. As an engineer, the process had me curious and is outside the manufacturing I work with. I’d like to explore it some more for professional growth.
Sorry, it’s Siocasting!!! That’s a good shout, when I get home I’ll try to remember to update the captions!!
@@FauxHammer Maybe for the journalistic style of video, you can put a quick graphic up for names like Siocasting. Especially, for terms that would be new to folks and auto-captioning too.
Thanks for the clarification on it. You’re a legend!
great to see behind the curtain and how passionate they are about the mini wargaming in general.

Man, I'm so excited Archvillian is in Worlds Beyond...I have always loved their minis but I don't utilize their DnD stuff that comes with the monthly releases.
Interesting collab. Curious to see if AG tones down their details on minis, and actually make them easier to print and paint.
Loved this
thanks. more coming. Visited MMF this week!
Damn Ross, I gotta say this was a great video.
Fun video. Little heavy handed with the slow mo. But yah more of this stuff. It’s cool to see how a company works.
I’m heavily inspired by Zack Snyder.
In seriousness. I never took my Tripod. So this was the smoothest way to capture everything
Awesome video!
Hi Ross, absolutely love your informative reviews, great work)) This is the first introduction to Sio Cast that I have seen from you,can you please do some more from that company as last I heard there was something like a 3% shrinkage to that resin material in comparison to the prototype model. I would like to know if that has been amended and if the shrinkage has an actual impact from the prototype model at actual size the miniature is to be sold at ( is it noticable ) or does the prototype model have to be printed of at a certain percentage bigger to compensate for the shrinkage in the Sio Cast resin?
Thank you.
Great behind the scenes look, but one question went unanswered. I'd love for you to poll these titans of Worlds Beyond and find out what RESINS they use (or perhaps it's a secret blend of herbs and spices?). I saw flexibility in the video, so I'm assuming they go for sturdiness over the highly detailed-but-brittle resins like Elegoo Space Grey. But what does Archvillain use, for example? Their renders are SICK and it's difficult to get all that detail onto a bendy tough resin.
I loved it!
love it!
Really cool. 👍
we like this type of content!
Good, I filmed more this week
I have an Anycubic photon mono 2k printer. I had a friend that does professional printing help me dial in my settings for the resin I use (Phrozen aqua green) so I end up with *really* nice and detailed prints. Of course you can still see layer lines if the print isn't angled properly, but other than getting a bigger machine I see no need to upgrade my machine. I've had it since 2021 and use it to print the minis I paint for competitions.
Yep, exactly that, there's no "need" to upgrade in many case. But I understand the "want" to upgrade
@@FauxHammer Is there that little difference between 2K and 6K ? I was thinking that beyong 8K the difference would be so small it wasn't worth it but I suppose the difference between 2K and 6K are more visible. Of course for personal use 2K is largely enough, but I started selling printed minis recently and I'm considering buying a new printer for this (mostly because I need a big printing volume, but if I can get better quality as well).
Really shows that resolution is not king and how great they are achieving with 6k printers
Exactly, thank you!!!
I've been backing One Page Rules for quite a while, and collecting their STL's. They make some very cool models, I just need to get a 3D printer :)
yeah, they have some incredible stuff!
Love it...
I enjoyed the video, but the thumbnail is a bit deceiving. Using "What printers do the pros use?" in the Thumbnail and the first part of the title, is a bit sketchy when you only spend about 2 minutes on that. You should have just left that out all together and you would have had an interesting video that would have stood on its own instead of seeming like click-bait.
And If I did that, would anyone have clicked on it?
@@FauxHammer I would have been more interested if it was a different title tbh. I'm more interested in the company than their printers.
@@FauxHammer I thought the look into the process was the most interesting part, especially the molding section. Regardless if thats not a consumer oriented system, I just like the behind the scenes. Would absolutely watch more of this style and im sure there are others
@@archeron9 I mean.... It worked, and viewer retention is up meaning most people stuck with it regardless of the title, So it can't be that bad
I need the multicolor resin printing vid. I NEED IT. Now
Filmed it yesterday
As someone who's really just kind of demoralized and not painting anything for warhammer, I'm really interested in companies like this. Where I can buy 4 or 5 hero models for the price of a box of intercessors
When I go to resin printing after getting FDM established, I will be using the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra, plenty cheap enough, fast, and a little easier to put in a farm.
A great feature video Ross! I work in the videogame biz and like the studio you visited, we now operate mostly remote. Most are still within close proximity to the actual studio but we also have employees in 11 countries. It works!
LOVED the BTS view into their world. I saw so much I recognised in my world. Cheers!!!

@@theawesomejames1 where at mate? Socials? Email?
big fan of realness
I had big issues with the 6ks. The z Axis lowering made a crunching noise on 3 out of 3 machines. Decided to buy the M5 after the last one went back. Not a problem with the Z Axis but a problem with the Z Axis driver. Shame really as it's an amazing printer. Just must have been a bad batch from Amazon ✌️
You mentioned printers with heating functions. I'm still looking to pull the trigger on buying a 3d printer, but what temperatures are ideal for 3d printing?
Depends on the resin. most resins should give an optimal range on the bottle
I love siocast as a concept so much. It should allow tons of small and medium sized companies to make a big upfront investment into their machines and then be able to produce minis in house. For some companies, COUGH COUGH CATALYST GAME LABS COUGH COUGH, it would be amazing to be able to get rapid iteration of variants and bits to customize minis without them having to pay out 20 grand to get a metal die made for an injection molding machine. It would also do some of them the huge favor of simplifying their logistics. You don't have to wait for a ship to arrive from China with your models if you make them domestically! Sure, there are still going to be price advantages to mass production and automation in injection molding but this technology is really in its infancy. This could reshape just tons of industries if it can get enough traction.
Functionally, I’m assuming that whole room of printers, naturally warms the room up A LOT. Notwithstanding the additional environmental controls. You definitely need a mask in there for the fumes unless they vent them from behind.
I've been an OPR subscriber for awhile. Now I'm a little more interested in Titanforge. My stl pile of shame is ridiculous and my printed pile substantial. But there is probably room for more.
I feel ya. I'm over here hoping MMF doesn't go anywhere for a long while.
It better not be, I’m stood at their office now!
@@FauxHammer Tell them I wish there was a way I could compare what I already own to these bundles. I love the Giga-all in bundle. However, I think I'm going to be overlapping with some of my monthly sub from OPR. However, it is still probably a solid enough deal for all of the AV and TF minis. Also, once a year (at least I think so) OPR offers like 70% off for members, maybe I should wait. However, my Saturn 4 ultra will be here in June (upgraded from Saturn 2) so I'm going to need to put it through its paces. Lol, I went the STL/Printing route to save money over GamesWorkshop. Which of course I am, hell I dont think you can buy 2 combat patrol boxes for the price of giga. bah, anyway. Keep up the good work Foxhammer! ;p
damn just talked myself into the early bird giga. A smashing deal.
The 6ks is very good its just a better version of the mono 2 and that little printer still holds up believe it or not
Saw product placement: "HIT" cookies 😆 only "Delicje" the picture is lacking ;)
Thank you for that video. Very like journalist approach.
Eh?
Sorry for too many shortcuts my mind took adding poor English to the top of that masterpiece among the comments ;). At 9'11"-9'12" there are some very distinctive cookies visible 😉 I like them very much. Only more distinctive ones would be "Delicje" (Polish brand of jaffa cakes) or maybe "Jeżyki". I don't know much about the newest 3d printing devices, but I really like how you described the processes not only of printing but also the casting. I imagined their "forge" differently, but it looks efficient as hell ^_^
@fauxhammer Who makes the chaos riders models at 4:56?
These are all TitanForge mate. though I'm not sure what Chaos is? never heard of it.
I'm a Titan Forge subscriber, and I bought their minis before I had a 3D printer. The SioCast resins are okay and sturdy, but nowhere near as detailed as the ones I print on an Anycubic 8k printer. So that's not the best advert to say that the 6K results are comparable.
Hot damn, magnets! Is there anything they can’t do?
I mean at the same time It's a Business trip
ironically, i'm split between the two they use, and would love to see a comparison. (not wanting to give away the spoiler) - between the 2, which would you suggest?
Easily the GkTWO for a home user
Oh wow, interesting. I only really use mine for printing minis or smaller props that I then mould for filmwork.
I had decided I wanted at least a 13-15" screen so I wouldn't need to split objects, but your GK2 review was so informative and the machine looks so damn good I might just go for it.
Shame there isn't a 15" version of either the Gk2 or the Heygears reflex
I cant love this video enough, need more like buttons lol
thanks!!!!
What type of casting was it that company used for their boxed sets? Sorry, having the same difficulty as the auto-captions in translating through the accent, and my hearing is bad. "Seo" casting?
Looks like SiOCAST
@@LunchboxSuperhero I think you're right. Thank you, I felt stupid there for a minute - like I was missing something painfully obvious. I didn't watch the video all the way through though.

ok, already filmed some this week at MyMiniFactory.
1) seen a lot of siocast broll in intro, after working with some of siocast minis from infinity.... i dislike it more than working with resin. Its like combining worst things from all words (resin, gw hips and infinity metal). Shaves like metal, doesnt play at all with plastic glue like metal and resin, details is similar or bit worse than resin, metal or gw hips.
2)CuStOdEs ArEnT sPaCe MaRiNeS
3) Why i dont use anycubic? Because i got elegoo first and now while ive been biten by this hobby bug again im taking care of what i print and from who, and atlass 3dss who support most of the models im getting use elegoo machines. Id argue that brand preference comes only to personal taste and what you got at first, otherwise they are EQUAL right now. At least till someone leaves chitu board system for something that would provide proper upgrade over current rectangular pixels.
4) GOOD JOB MMF FOR SCREWING UP THIS CAMPAIGN with timely "sheulded maintenence" (obligatory /s if someone doest read it as such, mmf is nice thing in hobby space but their quality and performance of frontend is..... SHIT. no other words can describe UX of using their "new improved" site)
5) Loved material, usualy i just listen it in the background on 2nd screen so if i hear something nice ill glance over. Keep your work coming (even if i cannot agree with some statements)!
That CO2 casting insight is BONKERS and is poof that GW should be able to print any model on demand once they have masters.

I've been a tech-head for over 50 years now and I can appreciate the effort and expertise that goes into the design and manufacture of those figurines, miniatures, or whatever they're called, but my question is, why? I look at those things and, honestly, my reaction is "meh".
It’s the first stage of a hobby, from here you go on to paint them…
@@FauxHammer Yeah, I do get that. I'm not knocking other's hobbies. Whatever floats your boat, as they say. I think FH has been very clear that a machine's resolution should not be the driving factor for a person resin printer purchase. And this hammers that point home because such a successful company is not investing the latest K upgrade. Rather they are producing a sufficiently quality item on a very reasonable and attainable printer. And to that point if and when manufacturers start adding in more desirable features ie: tilting vats, heaters, and larger plate sizes then you might see companies like this upgrade, because to your point, it is profitable to have those cost and time saving features.
@NoMercyFtw huh, that is weird that you took it like a "I told you so" comment by FH. To each his own, I guess. I am not here to defend FH. He can do that for himself. I just feel that you maybe took offense where none was meant to be. Rather, a justification of his continuous point that resin printer developers are trying to take the easy road on marketing instead of actually improving. Which, again, to your point, it is about profit and maybe enough profit needs to be made in order to fund the improvements we really want. Just to be clear, no internet hate towards you and your opinion.
@@demijebus6831 but he's wrong because if somebody is going to be printing out very highly detailed models with a lot of details on it they should be take it the most I know what they print, I can pick out an 8K versus A12K model without a microscope after 12 K it's irrelevant
