    I always love your videos because of the mostly scientific method used. One thing I can't understand ithough, is why would you think a small portable vacuum would be better for car detailing? I prefer the big heavy one on wheels with a long hose so it could just stay behind me and roll around as I clean the car. Craftsman has an even more powerful six horsepower full size. I would love to see you test full-size wet vacuums next.

    I have the Porter-Cable model that you tested. I don't often use it for my car but use it in my work studio. I love that it is on wheels, and its suction has been very good for the 5 or so years I've had it. I've put it through the ringer too.

    • @rjmari
      @rjmari ปีที่แล้ว

      They're pretty much all junk. The battery dies so fast, and often they're not removable or replaceable. And they probably have even less suction than the handheld vacs in this video.
      I think a good option is if your home vacuum is battery powered and has a handheld mode, or one of those Shark liftaway designs that has a hose.

Rigid should at least be top 3. This reviewer failed to remember that you get what you pay for. As far as quality of product goes price shouldn’t even be on the table.

  • @4.20.69
    @4.20.69 ปีที่แล้ว +61

    I appreciate the transparency you bring to this industry, but I strongly feel that it’s time for a repairability score to be integrated into your reviews - it could dramatically impact purchasing decisions for people.
    For example: the Metrovac was dinged for its high price - but the Metrovac seems to be the *only* company on this list that willingly and easily sells individual parts for repairs (motors, gaskets, switches, etc.) as opposed to whole modules or worse, dark patterns encouraging users to just “buy a new one”.
    The right for individuals and independent shops to repair products has been eroded year after year. I have to imagine there are other like-minded reviewers of the channel who would rather spend $[3X] on a vacuum once than $[X] every 3 years.
    All that said: Keep up the good work, your time spent and contributions to the space are not going unnoticed!

    The only attachment that probably 90% of detailer use is the credos tool. The rest of the attachments are pretty much pointless, and it’s just way to time consuming to switch attachments all the time. If a brush is needed then it’s the crevice tool in one hand and a detailing brush in the other. If u were to test them in that sense I bet u would have slightly different results.

    Please test the fein turbo 2 x ac hepa. As a vacuum connoisseur myself I’m sure you will love it as much as I do I have extremely high expectations for it!

    Thanks! and have you ever seen a car vacuum with an electric agitator? Not to be confused with the vacuum driven type agitators. If I find something suitable I'll let you know. Thanks again.

    Were points giving for noise?, seems important considering the Vac sits on floorboards quite often.

    these wet and drys should have powered roller brush tool. it can't get embedded dust on fabric seats without it.
