Still not talking about the big problem Dyson have with loose wands that have very poor connection design. I'll return mine because of this problem being resend from very beginning. It's unacceptable at this price.
After owning a Miele C3 canister, no cordless stick vacuum seems to be good at anything more than acting as a power broom for hard floors. I have a Tineco S11 for sweeping my hard floors, and use the Miele for all carpets. I recommend others consider this arrangement. The Miele should last nearly forever, as it's repairable if anything should fail eventually. And it will reduce the use of the stick vacuum, allowing it to last longer as well. And, the HEPA filtration and dirt bags help not only clean the carpet and floors and stairs and upholstery, but also the air.

Fantastic content. I purchased the Gen5 outsize because of the list, but in real world , it's too big when my wife uses it and the larger cleaner head loses suction. We took it back after a week and swapped to the Gen5 absolute. I gotta say, after using both, I would put the Gen5 absolute in S tier too, and for us it was the better choice. Thanks again
Excellent review. I have a few year old Tineco and will never buy another one because of how quickly and easily the motor filter gets dirty exactly as you describe! Pretty much clean after every vacuum.

The reason why I didn't do so is that I felt it would be confusing to viewers to have certain models have a certain rank in a general list like this and a different (probably lower) rank in a brand specific list. How do you think I could combat this confusion? Or do you think it wouldn't really be a problem?
I have a Dyson V10 and while it's a great vacuum, the battery completely died on me and needed to be replaced after a year of use. After some googling it seems to be a common occurrence. Not sure if that is the case with other Dyson's though
Not super, depends on how you use them, if you use max, get the battery hot then charge it right after it will kill it faster. I sell used Dysons and regularly have 10 year old batterys without issue, lasting within a few min of the original run time. And v8's all the time with 7 year old batterys running like new.
The V12 should definitely be in the A tier..regardless of the small bin its extremely lightweight and very suitable for people who for medical reasons etc can't hold the weight of the V11/V15. Plus having the dust attachment and extender hose in such a lightweight package is absolutely fantastic. While I was leaning towards the v15 the v12 suited the missus more due to the lightness and its a winner in this.
Great review on stick vacs. But I have a question and it’s not just your video. Why doesn’t anyone also review the Miele Triflex stick vac in any of these comparisons videos. Everyone seems to not think about it. I’ve been waiting for someone to add it to a video like this to help determine if I want to spend the money on it over a Dyson, or just stick with Dyson. Please consider add the Triflex next time. Thanks!!!

The Stratos is only in a lower tier because it's not multi-cyclonic. The Jet 75 is in a lower tier than the Bespoke Jet because it didn't perform as well in a few tested categories.
I disagree with B tier for Dyson V12. It has small dust bin, I'll give you that. It's not a big deal tho. It's good not only for small apartments. In fact it's better than V15 for bigger apartments. You have to empty the big more ofter, sure. But your wrist will thank you for picking v12 over v15. V12 is significantly lighter and doesn't have this stupid trigger button. All things combined the longer you are cleaning the better v12 would be at a price of smaller bin.
agreed.. smaller bin does not constitute a drawback on its own and I was dissapointed with this positioning. I've been super happy with its performance. I live in a smaller apartment with pets and its been exactly the right size for handling and it cleans fast and thoroughly
Agreed as well. My 70 years old mom refuses to use anything but the V12 detect. This small and light weight Dyson is the winner for people with smaller statue.

Many people see surface dirt being picked up and think the machine is doing a ‘good job’ when it’s just about satisfactory and leaving lots fine dust in the carpet!
How does a vacuum like the Milwaukee 0882 m18 compare? Projectfarm tested a different Chinese generic for m18 batteries & said it was good. I don't know how home-specific handheld vacuums compare to 18-20v tool companies, like Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita, etc.

Curious about your bin capacity numbers for Dyson. You said V15 is 500mL (0.5L), but Dyson says 0.76L. And you said V12 is 150mL (0.15L), but Dyson says 0.35L.
We measure bin volume up to the bin's maximum fill line. Official specifications describe the volume of the whole bin, including the part of the bin beyond the maximum fill line.
It unfortunately came out right after I bought the last round of cordless vacuums for testing, so it doesn't feature in any of my cordless vacuum videos.
I am totally disagree that larger is better for a dust bin ! I dont need to keep the dirt inside there forever! Also, what about mass? What about noise?
Its kinda weird that this ranking doesnt account for value.. the dyson v12 is basicly v15.. but with smaller basket.. but the price difference is decent enough for it to be super good for most houses, cuz who the f has a pile of sawdust on the floor? :D
I always assumed small dustbin dysons as superior. It takes me 3 weeks to fill the dyson v8! Much smaller to store and easier to manoeuvre. Maybe its Americans walking around their houses with shoes on lol.
Have owned 2 dyson stick cleaners & would never buy one again. Absolute rubbish now don't last 3 years out of a $1200 vacuum is not good value in anyones books.

The lesser performance is a big difference from the V15 and is a poor choice for homes with mainly carpet!!

Karcher cordless vacuums are not multi-cyclonic so they would fall towards the bottom of this list.
I feel the Numatic/Henry Quick has the correct answer to the clogging filters in that it has hepa bags/pods.

you could also add, Tefal and Rowenta, others already suggested some of the EU brands
When I get told to vacuum it usually takes me about 30 minutes or longer even for a single room, mostly because I pretend I have a big space gun
