Thank you for uploading this! I've been meaning to get my hands on a handheld vacume. You also helped me pick my mop vacume for my hard wood floor. Thank you for taking the time on reviewing all vacume products and helping us understand what works for each home :)

Just bought the Dewalt a week ago and it's amazing. Have batteries already so just paid 100. Could you please review it and maybe the Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, etc. Thank you.

Tks. Am about to buy one too. I have multiple Dewalt tools with the 20 V battery that I could use. I can’t believe that the Dewalt was inferior to those other brands in this test.

I went ahead and bought the Dewalt vacuum. It is incredible. It sucks up everything in its path. There is no way that other brands were superior to the Dewalt. The light is bright enough even with extension tube on. Very happy with it.

Thanks for this great review! I own the Black & Decker, your budget pick. Important: replacement filters have square holes (from the manufacturing process) that I just seal up with a hot glue gun, otherwise, dust will go right into the motor!

Whith a quantitative ranking system like this, a full sized upright vacuum will be the overwall winner. It will win all categories (power, battery life, fearures) except the one that defines a handheld vacuum: weight.
Usability is so important to a vacuum cleaner especially in the handheld category.
I'd like to see less focus on which one has the highest airflow and more information on stuff like:
Which one is best for car cleaning duties?
-comes with attachments like crevice tool
-work well with low pile carpets and upholstery
    -can fit around tight spaces
Which one is best for cleaning up quick messes?
-light, easy to use and convenient
Which one is best for cleaning up after pets?
    -good with hair, wet mess
Which one is best for regular house cleaning?
    -long battery life, good power
    Which one stores best?
    -dock and storage for attachments

Okay, I bought a few of these to replace an old one that broke and I learned that bin design means so much. I bought a Shark Cyclone and nothing came out of the bin without sticking my hands in. After 1 minute vacuuming, I spent 10 minutes cleaning the vacuum. I haven’t tried the Bissell but I am thinking getting a full size vacuum that gets smaller with a lift off might be better than any of them.

Great vid as always! Careful with the budget options, these look alike models have their batteries soldered meaning there's no way of replacing them without special soldering tools. Those batteries start degrading significantly at around 2 years and the whole unit needs to be thrown away.
I'd like to see some content on the power tool brand portable vacuums like the Ryobis and Milwaukees of the world which offer swappable batteries which to me is a game changer.

I went to your website and unless I want to click on every cordless stick vacuum and read the reviews, I can't tell which ones are self emptying very easily. Any chance you'll allow a search by feature, or add that specific category? And if somehow you read this, which self emptying ones do you like the most?

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser works for 15 mins before needing a 5 hour recharge. It's a major let down and I regret buying it. The charger is slow AF compared to other common battery tech. I'd avoid these sealed battery edge case vacs. It's 2024 and the expectations of new products efficiency have risen. The charging and battery quality experience in the first 24 hours reminds me a lot of cheaper disposable Black&Decker products of the 90s.

I'm not using it for pets, perhaps if I were then I'd have gone with the Bissell. After your review video, I went to Project Farm's channel. He did a survey of fourteen different cordless handhelds. Several of the tests he made interest me, and he didn't test the models that you did, even though he had three Black + Deckers in his survey.
Do you have the ability to test decibel level, suction (inches of water column) and cfm? If so, what are your readings for the model that I ordered (your second choice)? It was BLACK+DECKER's dustbuster furbuster AdvancedClean + Cordless Pet Handheld Vacuum.
      Thanks in advance.

I had, and used daily, what you call an "old school" Black and Decker Dustbuster for almost twenty years. Absolutely fantastic suction. It finally stopped keeping a charge. So I bought the Black and Decker Furbuster-- that's scored so high here--and it's been a total disappointment. I'm returning it today. Maybe I bought a malfunctioning one. I don't know. But it won't even suck up scattered cat litter. The attachments are worthless. I guess I was spoiled by all those years of trouble free service from my old one. My old one had a wall mount. This thing doesn't. My old one would suck up M & M's--several at a time--and this one can't even handle cobwebs. So I agree that this You Tuber should make his comparisons with vacuums that weren't made in China.

This is a sour category for me. I purchased my vacuum and my carpet cleaner based on your reviews and both were a home run. However I finally got a hold of the homasay (it's sold under a different name on Amazon now) and held vacuum that you recommended a few years back and I hate it sometimes statistics just aren't the deciding factor. The ergonomics of it just kind of suck (pun intended). Not to mention I can't stand that big fat nozzle it has but it's just a little tiny hole that actually goes in so you have to vacuum every time with the long extension tube in for pinpoint accuracy. It does the job though so whatever. If I ever get around to it I may have somebody scan and 3D print a better nozzle

Based on review bought Black and Decker but it has fatal flaw. You CAN'T charge on wall mount. You have to plug in the cord and it is at the top of the vacuum and only goes in a certain way. This should be part of the review. Returning the vacuum. Boo. (note. I had red black and decker which DID have the wall mount that charges. It is the blue one that doesn't).

This would be so much more useful if you'd have made available all of test results of all vacuums in all categories.
Otherwise you only presented winners for your own defined use case, which is cool I guess if everyone's use case was the same, but it's not.
Like when comes to attachments I don't care for spinning brush thing at all, what I do care is one which will get into tight crevices, or one with a normal brush at the end, or hose extension. Get my drift?
For future videos, please remember that your own use case is not a universal one, fit for all, or even for a vast majority.

Will you ever cover vintage vacuums? Maybe a comparison between older vacuums and newer vacuums
Have vacuums really gotten "better" over time or have they just gotten "fancier"?

If there's a man in the house then there's likely a DeWalt battery in the garage. The DeWalt handheld vacuum that was excluded in this video is hands down the best $99 handheld vacuum you can buy.
It's funny because so many people have already gone out of their way to separately buy DeWalt batteries and chargers in order to upgrade their Dyson cordless vacuums. If you have even one DeWalt battery then ignore this entire video and get the DeWalt vacuum.

I'm looking for this type vacuum to clean cat hair and crumbs (I know) on and around my desk, keyboard etc. I just want it nearby and unobtrusive, works for that, and inexpensive. I have other vacs for other uses. Unfortunately, even the Best Budget winner here is costs twice as much as I want to spend for jobs that basic.
