  • Sit back, relax and enjoy some scenic Talyllyn trains.
    From the 19th to the 22nd March, the Railway welcomed many photographers on the annual photo charter trains. These trains provide photographers access to some unusual vantage points and of course some odd combinations of locomotives and rolling stock.
    Specially for these charters, No.3 "Sir Haydn" was turned 180 degrees to face down the valley as it did during the 1950s and No.4 "Edward Thomas" was painted into the lovely Corris Railway red livery.

      Nice video. However the endless repetitive music should have been avoided. After a couple of minutes it diverted from the pleasure of the video.

    Montages of Sir Hayden and Edward Thomas with “railway with a heart of gold” playing in the background is enough to make any train enthusiast feel relaxed about their surroundings. Also my condolences go to Talyllyn and Dulgoch during their overhaul period.

      They may have met their twins from Sodor (Skarloey & Rheneas) during their overhauls. I think Railway with a Heart of Gold sounds like Last of the Summer Wine.

    So calming and relaxing. Being autistic I can say the combo of the soft music and the sounds of the engines puffing is incredibly calming to me.

    Gorgeous video to watch for a Saturday. The engines look gorgeous as they run around with photo charter trains and other work. After seeing this video, reminds me of a time on the Skarloey Railway in the Railway Series Books by Rev. Wilbert Awdry and Christopher Awdry where Rev Wilbert Awdry wrote a story of Peter Sam and Sir Handel helping out Skarloey and Rheneas while they were being mended. Again beautiful video of trains with a wonderful song to go along with the video. ❤❤

    Great opening shots, took me back to "Four Little Engines"!!! Surely it's not good practice to have all that water spilling onto the track bed at the reinstated water trough??

    • @TalyllynRailway1865
      @TalyllynRailway1865  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bob, thankfully it isn't the normal practice to let it flow constantly!
      Usually the water is diverted back into the stream before it reaches the end for day to day operation, but for photographic charters we let it flow constantly as this is what it used to do historically - though it's shut off once everyone has their pics!
