A lot of people asked why I didn't talk about Awakened Bahamut. ...yeah I kinda forgot, so let me share my insights here. Actually, if anything, the bigger reason isn't Awakened Bahamut, rather, a different awakened unit. Awakened Ururun. Awakened Ururun's damage output becomes much bigger, being even better than a lot of generalist ubers. Yes Bahamut still has the nuker's advantage, but Awakened Ururun's and CBaha's DPS gap is just way too big at this point. And then when reaching mid-UL, Bahamut is introduced to yet another rival, Urs. Now Double Ururun becomes the go-to when you want to use 2 no-uber generalist at once. You can even argue the same with Awakened Mina. But why not use both at once? Well, because Ururun often makes Bahamut miss. You wanna use Bahamut on Rain.D stages? Too bad, Ururun's gonna knock the Rain.D back every couple seconds. If you're gonna use Bahamut you'll have to hold back on not using Ururun, but not using Ururun means missing out on her giant damage output. You're pretty much gonna want to just use one of them, and chances are Awakened Ururun's gonna be the better choice purely from their overwhelming damage output gap. But there are still times where you could use both of them at once, and still feel Bahamut's nuker advantage going into play. But I'm just saying, this is how people's mindset usually are on why they don't bring Bahamut more.

It’s good to finally have a video addressing how DPS isn’t the only metric for offense. Damage stat itself gets overlooked too often, even I used to not pay much attention to it until I got around to properly using Poseidon and Lasvoss. It’s also good to see how foreswing can be utilized for bigger nuking. It’s very noticeable on Rekon Korps and Anubis where enemies can get baited easily into their range.
people need to understand that it isn't a simple answer, quick dps have a huge dependance in uptime with the upside of not caring much if they miss an attack and because of both of those things they are extremely effective against weak or swarmy enemies and inflicting status effects but they won't last long in a slugfest against stronger tanky enemies, while nukers get extremely punished by missing an attack which is not an uncommon occurence but at the same time they don't care about uptime as much since most of the time they will be recharging their attack and since their dps comes all at once they can take care of big enemies in just one attack but at the same times weak enemies will swarm them without any oposition both fulfill a niche and are good at their respective fields
Great analysis on an awesome unit. I'm really glad you covered the part with the DPS chart, because the idea of "initial attack burst" contributing to kill time is something a lot of people tend to forget about. Unfortunately, I'm afraid you didn't mention Bahamut's TRUE biggest weakness: the fact that you can't use him and Awakened Bahamut in the same lineup...
I've seen this concept in a bunch of other mobile games before so I knew about it the moment I first used Bahamut. "Initial damage" is the only thing that matters if it's enough to oneshot. Bahamut's real weakness is that horrendous foreswing.
the swarm of various doges at 11:02 washing away the two bahamuts like a tidal wave out of nowhere caught me off guard and had me cackling like a madman

@@demonrobot yes like how meta filibusters damage is 3,000,000 and it'll wipes out all our unit in one shot ( except metal cat ) while his dps is less than a 100% aku gori
That bit about Cosmo, i remember how people were speculating on giving filibuster faster attack rate as well, i won't lie i was also in support of this idea but now, faster attack rate would just ruin him completely, the game for now is really fast paced so i get why anyone would want a slugish unit to be faster at attacking but sometimes you gotta remember that differences is what makes a unit special, if every bad sluggish unit got a faster attack cycle a lot of cats could become better but also they would look like clones of themselves, that's one if the reasons why i like Cosmo

Like sure he does fall off a bit when the later Legend units are unlocked but it doesn't mean he is garbage and still has a place in the meta, especially for no uber.

9:50 I didn’t think of this before but it actually makes a lot of sense! It’s the difference between y=ceil(x) and y=x. Both have an average slope (dps) of 1 but ceil(x) reaches every y value before or at the same time as x.
Really cool video! It's fun seeing a video that touches on these deeper insights into what makes a damager good. I've noticed these traits of slow vs fast attack rates for a while, but I've never seen anyone go into THIS kind of depth for appreciating BC. It's unfortunate that the meta kinda just revolves around the best of the best (and fastest) though, so bahamut and cooler units like cosmos barely gets used.
This was great, and the math was very interesting! Even if scary. I will say, something you didn't mention that I think makes bahamut have an advantage is that well... When you send them out of the base, he's not on cooldown. He's ready to pump that damage right into the nearest enemy. And with a faster unit with less damage per attack, that matters less, but instantly deleting some enemies health can be huge. Like you saw with the rain d in the first example. I think that's also a lot of why sending soba out and having her snipe a dangerous metal feels better than waiting for her to get her shit together after attacking, as she's just ready to go and pump that damage in "instantly", besides obviously attack animations. That's also amplified by the presence of other units. you have 9 other units that help. Once your freshly sent out bahamut deletes most of an enemies hp, a strong attacker can way more easily finish off the job in an attack or two, compared to the low dpa fast unit. Both of these things are huge advantages, even if it's not always how you use bahamut because stacking is a thing. But I think that does seriously factor into how he can actually be insanely faster in the right scenario.
28:02 Did you mean Eyewaltz here? Juvens is the angel tank, he doesn't have any damage increasing abilities, Eyewaltz is the mid ranger who Ponos gave wave in their true form.
I just used shishilan as my bahamut replacement through most of my mid-game experience. Bahamut was my reserve for following guides and sometimes as a good damage dealer until I got the true form, from which point on I rarely used the second form. But I also don‘t use the 3rd form quite enough, and in old decks I often instinctively remove it, even though I don‘t have a replacement rusher really, so I basically forgot bahamut altogether
Another good video, i personally love using nuker units, and there was a lot of time which i recommended 2nd form bahamut to late game stages, and they went like "Why 2nd form?", now i have a fast copy + paste link to skip my explanation. This is a banger.
I agree with Lucas. Nuker units are fun to use (Bora, Diabolosa, Bahamut). It’s nice to see that LD units are in the spotlight. I just wish that other types of units were acknowledged more

Great analysis. C Baha was sometimes the key I needed to beat some UL 2* or 3* stages with special/rare only for the kind of reasons you say. It's worth noting that as you level cats to end game damage output, and/or use damage up combos, a high-rate attacker still more or less does 1 KB per attack on stuff then it moves away and those buffs are doing nothing for a while. The time it takes to cut through enemies isn't halved by doubling your DPS due to time spent not attacking. Meanwhile a level 50, attack up CBaha sinks all that increased power into one attack, which, assuming it hits of course, can drastically change flow of battle or kill a key enemy before your next problem joins it. You already made the point that large single hit damage helps for this, but this is a strength that scales better than expected into endgame for this reason. By the point everyone has long since abandoned CBaha, he's actually improving in this way faster than much of the competition.

Bahamut has been pretty clutch for me several times, hes 85k damage is hellr crippling to the early game bosses and helps in peon cleaning too. It's just nice to see hem getting recognition he deserves, he's really you only good damage source till you ururun if you have awful gacha luck. Not to mention Bahamut in all his forms is the ultimate skill based unit, even to get him or to evolve him yol need to prove yourself to the game which is pretty fun.
Fasthamut. That sounds familiar. Haven't beaten itf chapter 3 yet so I don't know. Lucas squeezing Kuu praise in at the end. We see you, Lucas. Anything for his waifu.
I think Bahamut's biggest weakness is that it has a true form that changes its role... and technically makes it more versatile than its nuker form. That aside, I just don't use him since I have other nukers that are specialized. Might use C. Bah again at some point though since I'm going into 4 crown SoL. Then again, talented lil' dragon exists now.
the nice thing about high damage per hit is that you can trigger HP threshold knockback on the whole frontline at once - when you have a big range like bahamut and the enemy is closing in, being able to knock back the whole frontline at the same time is really really good and helps to clear pressure off your meatshields giving bahamut the clutch xfactor that makes him feel so good to use
@@emerster656 dragon can do that tho bahamut just does it much better unless u stack dragons that case they would be better also dragon outranges alien bear
Great analysis especially with the skipping kbs point! It reminds me of the Crazed Bahamut strats on Fire Kingdom Dynamite to skip the amount of kbs of midnite d so you dont push into the nyandams. (Btw at 28:03 did you mean to say Eyewaltz instead of Juvenz?)
Funnily enough the conjurer for dragon emperors gundaros is basically a bahamut cat 2.0 for aliens and blacks with ridiculous damage that can mostly oneshot non-tanky enemies while the tanky ones get looped into getting hit again with gundaro's knockback and 8 second slow.
My first go to Ubers during early game were Shishilan Pasalan and Rekon Corps. I was already doing everything you said and more. As I move to further into the game I do prefer the meta ubers more, but it's still fun to use my old carries
I myself received Vigler as my first Uber on my account, and, aside from his combo, he’s known for the long atack rate AND low range. And sometimes when he misses I’m like: man, I wish you atack a little faster, and the other times it’s: man, can you hold your atack just for another second, so that enemy get closer! It’s really a double-edged sword.
As a wow player this just kind of makes sense to me seeing damage numbers all the time. Nukes are basically burst damage in a single shot an initial attack and long time between attacks. The initial nuke say if 3 seconds into the battle has a HUGE initial DPS and then rapidly decreases between attacks. Meanwhile a consistent attack rate builds up to the DPS that the burst nuke damage drops off too in order to balance around the same rate. It's mainly about balancing the frequency and damage you want to put in to not waste potential damage high risk high reward. Which is why you can take such advantage bahamut being so inconsistent to stack him so well cause he'll take too much time doing too much damage to enemies that don't need that much damage done to them.
Awakened bahamut cat gave me such a rush of adrenaline when i got him and seeing that absolutely MONSTROUS 90k per hit was crazy to my mind, bahamut will always be my favorite
Big damage per hit also allows you to break barriers threshold easier (Provided you don't bring any barrier breakers) Crazed Bahamut allows you to break more alien barriers easier with it's relatively safe distance while Ururun and other fast hit rate low damage per hit units cannot.
On my first account (before losing the retrieval code so I can't access it), on EoC c2, I pulled Colossal Benkei. You can imagine how much little spotlight Regular Bahamut had over Benkei
Just beat Giga-God a couple of hours ago. Bahamut's pre-true form suddenly saved me in some Special restricted CotC stages as I did CotC before SoL and didn't have Ururun Wolf. So yeah, I will always remember my bro Crazed Bahamut Cat.
I personally always used Bahamut. For the longest time, my best Uber was Gameron. When I needed someone to come in clutch and kill the boss, it was always Bahamut who stepped up and nuked it. For me, Bahamut actually outclassed Ururun because I prefer his higher damage slower attack to hers.
I really rely on Bahamut a lot. I didn't get ubers (& if so, not a lot), so I *really* relied on my normal, rare, and special cats. *Bahamut was my pseudo-Uber* to help my team. I didn't engage with the story of legend much, so I didn't get Mina until late. When I found out that Mina ISN'T my non-cyberpunk-cat long ranger, I never used her (I still think her range is to pathetic for her cost). It was super cool getting Awakened Bahamut, but I alternate between "who takes longer to die"; a fast attacker that can die to a R.Ost, or a slow attacker that could drag out a fight.
the main reason people are forgetting bahamut is because he's overshadowed by ubers, why would you use bahamut when you have mighty gao, or sirius, or shishi, or any decent generalist, bahamut is not a bad unit, not by any means, but he's an early/mid game unit for a reason
I dunno, I feel like bahamut’s main strength is highly dependent on solid meat shielding. While having too good of a meatshield will leave him attacking 1 or 2 units at a time, not having great meat shielding basically kills him. And as someone who either brings the worst amount of meatsheilding (1 crazed eraser) or the stupidest amount of meat shielding (ramen, sushi, and 2 erasers with 2 basic meatshields) I find it hard trying to get value from him. Sure the 1st attack is much shorter and easier to work with, but if I’m not defending properly it’s like having an attack cooldown of 2 min instead of 20sec. Still cool video though, I really appreciate how skillful it is to use units like these. (Yes ik, skill issue)

3:29 is so funny to me for some reason it’s like Bahamut cat is on trial
i remembered unlocking bahamut and always using him in everysingle one of my load outs
Fasthamut. That sounds familiar. Haven't beaten itf chapter 3 yet so I don't know.
Lucas squeezing Kuu praise in at the end. We see you, Lucas. Anything for his waifu.
I remastered your fasthamut design in BCU, thanks for the idea, btw
Bahamut ultra form gonna be the comeback story of the century
15:10 one must imagine rebound unit/enemy happy
I think Bahamut's biggest weakness is that it has a true form that changes its role... and technically makes it more versatile than its nuker form.
That aside, I just don't use him since I have other nukers that are specialized. Might use C. Bah again at some point though since I'm going into 4 crown SoL.
Then again, talented lil' dragon exists now.
Best Thumbnail I've ever seen from you gyattdamn
the nice thing about high damage per hit is that you can trigger HP threshold knockback on the whole frontline at once - when you have a big range like bahamut and the enemy is closing in, being able to knock back the whole frontline at the same time is really really good and helps to clear pressure off your meatshields giving bahamut the clutch xfactor that makes him feel so good to use
To be fair he is good early game cause he does a shit ton of damage and can kill everything, where nothing except him can do that sometimes
basically what I mean is he can kill enemies like alien bear where my only other cat who an do that is polevau;ter bwith peons and maybe dragon
@@emerster656 dragon can do that tho bahamut just does it much better unless u stack dragons that case they would be better also dragon outranges alien bear
A. Bauhamut overshadows his og form forever. I'm happy to have his help for a few crazed cats, but once you have true, you never really go back.
Can we just take a second to appreciate the picture or whatever it’s called for this video
People cheer you on when you stack 5 or 10 bahamuts, but just stack 2 cyberpunks and you see who people really are...
this was a nice video
and no popping noises either
thank god, just a chill video about bahamut
Resident "Person who stacks like 16 nuking dragon emperors before hitting the base" here. Kickass video.
LOVE that shin GZ reference on the thumbnail❤
I love the Shin Godzilla Reference in the Thumbnail
I love the thumbnail it's a reference to Shin Godzilla (2016) it's very creative
Great analysis especially with the skipping kbs point! It reminds me of the Crazed Bahamut strats on Fire Kingdom Dynamite to skip the amount of kbs of midnite d so you dont push into the nyandams.
(Btw at 28:03 did you mean to say Eyewaltz instead of Juvenz?)
oh my god i still get those two mixed up
@@LucasIVYT tbh I do too all the time LOL
3:18 cursed paris cat and gross 😂😂
I swear the amount of times I've been uncertain whether Bahamut cat hit the boss or not is uncountable because of his inaccurate ball explosion hitbox
0:48 Bahamut cats cooldown is actually 10 wing swings
1:02 THATS WHAT IM SAYING BRO THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT SO MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN IT IS MAN
Funnily enough the conjurer for dragon emperors gundaros is basically a bahamut cat 2.0 for aliens and blacks with ridiculous damage that can mostly oneshot non-tanky enemies while the tanky ones get looped into getting hit again with gundaro's knockback and 8 second slow.
He’s forgotten for a reason. I don’t even line his true form I’m just forced to use it sometimes but I accept that his life expectancy is 12 seconds.
I love the title art a great homage to shin gojira
Man,that thumbnail. Since i am a Kaiju fan, that tricked me lol
The game lore: "He started the apocalypse"
Me: sure. sure. Keep playing with the cotton ball kitten.
My first go to Ubers during early game were Shishilan Pasalan and Rekon Corps.
I was already doing everything you said and more.
As I move to further into the game I do prefer the meta ubers more, but it's still fun to use my old carries
That shin Godzilla thumbnail is a masterpiece 😂😂😂
When I first saw your fasthamut post
I didnt expect much
But dang this is genius way to explain bahamut's state
With all weakness and strengths
A perfect example for me is Ramiel cat. Long range and TBA however the surge ability and slow debuff ability makes up for it
I myself received Vigler as my first Uber on my account, and, aside from his combo, he’s known for the long atack rate AND low range.
Awakened bahamut cat gave me such a rush of adrenaline when i got him and seeing that absolutely MONSTROUS 90k per hit was crazy to my mind, bahamut will always be my favorite
you just convinced me to use anubis for another role, not just a dust collector
Big damage per hit also allows you to break barriers threshold easier (Provided you don't bring any barrier breakers)
Crazed Bahamut allows you to break more alien barriers easier with it's relatively safe distance while Ururun and other fast hit rate low damage per hit units cannot.
On my first account (before losing the retrieval code so I can't access it), on EoC c2, I pulled Colossal Benkei. You can imagine how much little spotlight Regular Bahamut had over Benkei
Half an hour about a single unit in a game i play once a week. Hell yeah.
I'm not forgetting this cat is literally the stormtrooper of nukers
why did bro start talking about kuu in the middle
MAINTAINING THE AGENDA IS OUR PRIORITY
Can you try out "the battle bricks"?(Battle cats inspirated game)
Can you play the battle bricks?
Sorry for typing twice almost same thing but i thought my comment got deleted.

The video’s thumbnail is goated
Just beat Giga-God a couple of hours ago. Bahamut's pre-true form suddenly saved me in some Special restricted CotC stages as I did CotC before SoL and didn't have Ururun Wolf. So yeah, I will always remember my bro Crazed Bahamut Cat.
I personally always used Bahamut. For the longest time, my best Uber was Gameron. When I needed someone to come in clutch and kill the boss, it was always Bahamut who stepped up and nuked it. For me, Bahamut actually outclassed Ururun because I prefer his higher damage slower attack to hers.
insane art on the thumbnail.
Damn bro really got me with the maths jumpscare...
TWICE
The cat was doing in this video is actually my favourite
Basically why kill enemy in 80 hits when you can do it IN ONE.
Luna Nights music used, even more respect gained.
i feel like the reason people completely forget about nuke bahamut is not because hes bad, but because his true form is just so universally viable
Shin Bahamut sounds like a fire level.
0:57 hasn’t edited his packpack to say seconds instead of frames
the main reason people are forgetting bahamut is because he's overshadowed by ubers, why would you use bahamut when you have mighty gao, or sirius, or shishi, or any decent generalist, bahamut is not a bad unit, not by any means, but he's an early/mid game unit for a reason
My first uber was rekon corps, which is bahamut but epic and he was a staple on every team i made until finishing SOL 1 star. I miss my boy
That thumbnail is so beautiful!🤯
