every seller needs a guy like phoenix resale, who will pay up for games (and help pay a store's monthly rent). 😂 i don't understand physical game store owners sometimes tho. If someone is buying a ton, why not cut them a better deal? It's not everyday someone is gonna come in and spend $thousands. It's not like they are going to run out of games (looks like plenty of stock of games in the back, which means they have a flow of incoming games).
Why sell to a returning customer for 10 if he'd gladly pay 15? It's a business, and Phoenix apparently likes his stock and prices enough to come back. Cutting a deal can always be turned around: why doesn't Phoenix pay a bit more since he can get so much inventory at one place?
Looking back at it I am pretty sure they were just trying to scam him and then severe ties with him on that Yoshi's Story. But then they realized he was going to send it in for grading and make a video about it so they had to refund him.
The owner is haggling over $2 per game. When there are zero customers in the store. He obviously doesn't do the research, with the, " make me an offer than asks $40 to $60 more.."

I don't know if $315 is a good deal on a sealed Solar Striker...very tough to value something like that. It's not a rare game but certainly not many sealed copies. The game itself is pretty good though. Weirdly enough even though it's much more expensive it seems like the Yoshi is the safer bet.

Bro stop being a hater and if it was resealed the corners would be damaged
@@MarvelFan-rl9vi This video is a year old, it’s been confirmed to be a reseal and he got his money back. You are wrong and very late to the conversation.
buys def jam for $110 in case, buys disc only for $140 lol
Me: Downloads Def Jam and plays on my modded PS3 lol
@@anthonycruz5569 that’s basically me on my XSS with retroarch lol
They were for different consoles. The PS2 version tends to be in higher demand even disc only.
Different consoles. Different price
@@viewsfromthetris5913 I would love one of those to mod
every seller needs a guy like phoenix resale, who will pay up for games (and help pay a store's monthly rent).
Fresh phoenix back at it again #sealed
Those piles of discs are given me an anxiety attack.....
Waiting patiently for the panda stuffed animal trade up series
Looking back at it I am pretty sure they were just trying to scam him and then severe ties with him on that Yoshi's Story. But then they realized he was going to send it in for grading and make a video about it so they had to refund him.
Nailed it
$1750!! Dude! I hope you get $3500 but you better hold on to it for 10 years!
That Yoshi's Story looks like a reseal dude.
The owner is haggling over $2 per game. When there are zero customers in the store. He obviously doesn't do the research, with the, " make me an offer than asks $40 to $60 more.."
well done dude your very fair and up front
I’m going to buy me a bunch of n64 games and reseal them and make a fortune off this guy
Thanks for sharing this content it was super insightful
Crazy to think the type of seal on a game can determines its value.. what have we done?
Lost our minds
Also have the original release version of TMNT IV for SNES with dust cover. Duck Tales for NES with manual and insert as well.
I just picked up a sealed red version and a sealed silver for 200. Both were found in an attic, the red had water damage and the silver was super clean. I sold the red for 1400 on marketplace and sending silver off to get graded. this week. -reseller in st louis
Really enjoyed the video !
Still here in Ontario Canada right now, and even when I was able to leave my house 2 years ago (funny not funny lol) I've never come across the scores you do, epic, well done and I might be immigrating to your area soon lol, always amazing keep it up and thanks for the content!
You aren’t looking then…..my collection is worth over 100 grand and I’ve sourced 90%+ of it in southern Ontario
Wow what an epic video, this was great!
I think youll do well with grading the gameboy game
Smack down ps1 was one of my childhood games lol 😝
i loved this SUPER PICK-UP...........1-UP
All those higher value handhelds/adapters being shrinkwrapped really makes me think they tried to pull a fast one with that yoshi....
15:00 - I'm gonna smile if/when these dudes get jacked!
I had solar striker when I was a kid, I played that game so much. Fun times!
I dont have to much knowledge in sealed games but that yoshi story had vibes of being resealed. it was way to clean and the fact that the guy didint grade it himself to make the 4k is weird
So crazy finding sealed n64 games that stuff will soon be a thing of the past
right any sealed stuff from before the Ps2/gamecube era is a total gem and in 20 years will be worth more then bitcoin lol
I wish my city had retro video game stores. All we have is 2nd and Charles and everyone always get them fast.
We also have Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness but only box and disc but I know even without the manual, that one goes for a decent amount.
I'm in the middle of trying to sell mine and getting even slightly under market has been painful
Got lucky and a complete copy for $40 couple years back good thing I bought it then
Damm Peeps must be out their collecting hard for games when the sealed prices are like this. Oh yeah I loved the video
You way overpaid on Yoshi story It is $300+ brand new
This copy is sealen, which makes all the difference. Could be a reseal though
This video is better than videos of you buying shoes at a yard sale.
There's a top scratch on that Def Jam visible from the video! Beware on selling that one!
That game has been resealed you can tell because of it having the lines on all four sides you can tell it was done by an impulse sealer and the box looks like it was a repro box because their is now way that box is that clean like that but even if the box is not a repo art that is definitely a impulse seal that was on that
Solar striker is only $90 on price charging Brand new
You bought from him over 2k worth of games and he still negotiating with you for a 2 dollars on the 360 Minecraft 💀 L store
Seems like they reseal inventory, I would double check the Yoshi game...
Now some games to look out for that are a bit more recent is, Attack on Titan 2 final Battle for the switch, seen comps for a few hundred dollars for a used copy and Ai Somnium Files for the switch see that one going for almost $100.00 for a used copy.
Hey love the videos. Ive been trying to Re sell in canada by the gta but value village goodwill and thrift stores are pricing their games pops everything individually and most times higher then price charting. Even yard sale games worth 5 people think are worth 15 20 :/ about to give up. You have any advice ?
So sick!
Awesome pickups, nice store
Solar striker very rare sealed I would say that game alone is around $500-$600 ungraded but depending on the grade who knows.Ok looked on ebay and found a WATA 7.0 C seal selling for $799.99 but of course ran into the same problem you did and could not find any sold.Best I can find on sold is a CIB near mint with open shrink wrap sold for $249.99 plus $7.70 shipping. It has been awhile since you bought it so I am sure you know what is goes for by now.
You should partner with this store and put their entire inventory online. Then split the profits.
Yoshis storys sells for 350 new and 1 per month. But great snag
I don't know if $315 is a good deal on a sealed Solar Striker...very tough to value something like that. It's not a rare game but certainly not many sealed copies. The game itself is pretty good though. Weirdly enough even though it's much more expensive it seems like the Yoshi is the safer bet.
I'm trying to figure out if you made one offer that they accepted.
Man, first of all, congratulations on the way you treat others and live your life. I recently stepped into your channel and I watched almost all of your videos.
You are an honest person and with a lot of charisma/sympathy, I hope all the best for you, your family, and your business.
Congratulations from Portugal and I hope to see more content from you, it's a way to live some of your adventures.
p.s. I also start to collect retro games/consoles. Maybe someday we will trade some stuff.
Thanks for the support!
