If a store sells a product under value no one has ripped them off and they haven’t lost a cent if they made more than what they bought it for. I've been watching your resale guides again. They are really helpful. Thanks Caleb!!! You've definitely helped. Forget the haters you really seem to be genuine in your desire to help. Please make some more guides.
That first levs used to be a great place to pickup retro, but they recently started marking stuff at ebay price. The other lev's had a Cheetahmen II cart that another local collector got for an amazing deal.
Sonic Adventure DX is one of my top ten favorite games of all time. Love the different gameplay styles each character selection offers, and to me at least, the story is great. Regarding the pricing issues, there's a reason you are suppose to look up the price of the game then put it on the shelf. Buyers will feel cheated if you have constantly fluxuating pricing that moves with the market at a moment's notice. You will kill a business by doing that. Look for the profit margins that you are willing to maintain before putting it out on the shelves. If you wish to do inventory, do it when no one is in the store. Even more so when you are a thrift store. You have to realize that most of your buyer pool are second hand sellers themselves. You won't be able to sell yourself if you price at full market value.
Really wish there was more stores like this in south FL (Miami, etc.) big businesses are king down here and the pawn shops straight up blow. Regardless if there was anything good in a pawn, goodwill, etc. the competition and hustle down here is insane. Impossible to find stuff like this as often as you do.
The ULTIMATE channel to inspire you to do some late night spending! I've spent £250 so far.... Thanks!... GameCube is quite possibly my favourite console of all time, I've got the uncommon Panasonic Q.
10,000% agree with your frustration on the pawn shop looking up all their prices. Like you said, it's their right to do that. However, I can almost guarantee that they did not do that when they bought in the games from whoever sold them to the pawn shop. If you're going to charge full price for things (and basically be a game store), you better be competitive when you buy games in, and you better have a money-back guarantee that everything you sell is tested, working, and authentic. Otherwise, I will not support you by buying anything from you, knowing that you most likely paid pennies for it and are selling things as-is. That is just... unethical behavior, in my opinion.
I think having to look up prices because they are not pricing items is wrong. I'll pretty much never buy from those kind of sellers. Usually a waste of time, overpriced and no deals to be found
my number one suggestion has to be Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Not one that you can get a full feel for just by playing 30 mins. The mindfucks barely start by then. But it's a game where if you leave it paused to long it starts playing tricks on you. Going black screen to think your TV shut off. Playing a cinematic of your character being attacked making you think that it unpaused somehow. I think there's one point where if you leave it paused too long the screen starts Dripping blood. Those are just the pause screen features to mess with you head. On top of that I thought the story was above par. The atmosphere of creepiness holds throughout majority of the game.
Love seeing you in my home town of Fort Wayne! I definitely need to check out the pawn shops around here. Mega replay is real hit or miss and besides that it’s a desert for retro games up here.
Your 200% right on that pawn shop, if your going to look up ebay price then sell it there! Makes no sense they payed next to nothing on those, so yea man your in the right, I would have walked
I just started watching your videos and I'm hooked and craving more gamecube gambit. I don't resell, I just collect but it's still satisfying to see you find awesome stuff.
Stumbled across your channel for the first time. Stopped when you said going up into Indiana and figured you were from Kentucky and would never make it to Fort Wayne. I paused the video at the Lev's pawn stop showing the Clinton St. sign thinking that was the one here in Fort Wayne. Indeed you did make it to north east In. in Fort Wayne. I hope you enjoyed our city.
My local game stores don’t price anything out. Anything I’m interested in I ask to ask and they look up the price online. It’s happening a lot more especially with garage sales, everyone wants ebay prices but are not willing to put in the work.
I can't stand it when I go to a shop, especially actual video game stores, and nothing is priced. There's a place not far from me that has a really nice selection of stuff but I seldom go there specifically because I know every game is just getting looked up. I dont mind paying a fair price it just feels like a tremendous waste of time and a bad retail experience.
Caleb, I get that it's annoying but you can't get upset that you can't take advantage of every store pricing stuff below market. Those stores don't exist for you. Be happy when opportunity strikes and remember you are going to strike out more times that you hit a home run.
yeah, star wars rogue squadron 2 was definitely one of the games I played most back as a kid and I always enjoyed it so I'm glad to see you add it to the collection. I definitely think it deserves a spot. Also, you should have picked up shrek 2, I played a lot of that for some reason, so even though I'm sure it's awful, it holds a special place in my heart.
Still puts fighters 20 years later to shame with the awesome content in that game. I don't get why a Team Battle equivalent isn't in modern fighters, we used to have 10 people playing in a single match with that.
Pawn shops, even some game stores now, not pricing their games because they're too lazy to price update and want to maximize profit is the WORST THING POSSIBLE. They want to make ALL the money with NONE of the work at the expense of the customer's experience. They want to price at market? COOL. Then price at market but that whole "we'll look them up at the counter" is SHITTY AF. I even saw a game store in Florida that priced games but had signs up that they're going to relook them up at the counter to adjust for market value.....THEN WHY ARE YOU PRICING?!?!?
I have a semi-local retro reseller shop around that does the pricing at the end by looking it up. However he's very straightforward with you and will look up the prices with you. Once he sees the average selling cost of whatever item in whatever condition, he will then knock some money off that price (usually 10-15%) and throws bundle deals/discounts left and right. The process is a little annoying, but I do enjoy knowing he's not over or under selling an item. It can cause some delays when there's numerous people in there, but you can tell he just wants to make sure everyone is happy with the pricing. I walked out of there with Pikmin 1&2 for GC, Doom long box and Final Doom for PS1, Doom 64, and a few other smaller games I don't remember all in really great CIB condition for under $140 and he threw in this cool Doom tin lunchbox since I'm a Doom nerd. Additionally because it's a 45 minute drive to his store he always tosses in freebies, discounts, etc. just for making the drive and supporting his business.
That whole “let me look up the price” was absolutely disgraceful. You are a 100% right on it being a inconvenience to the customer. What’s the point of having a storefront if you’re going to run it like that. They Might as well save the rent money and have a online store.
Lev's used to be amazing about 2 years ago. I don't even bother going there anymore. Awesome to see you running around my home town. Next time swing by my small store in Columbia City IN, Legacy Games llc. It's about 25 min away from where you are in this video.

The first video I saw was you delivered the copies of Gex to Scott the Woz, I enjoyed that video. I didn't know you were a flipper but unlike flippers, I’ve seen on Tik Tok, you don't seem toxic, only profit-minded, you seem to enjoy your work and growing your home collection while selling video games. I’ll check your online stores and I’ll update this comment if my opinion changes on you and channel.
I checked your eBay, every price seemed fair, shipping was a little much but that might be because I live in Canada. To make a long story short you earned a new subscriber.
I had the same thing happen to me several times as far as me buying some real nice bly-rarys and they gave them to me dirt cheap. They are trying to clear some rack space so right now during the pandemic when sales for them are slow is the best time to go out and get some deals.

@@MelonGearSolid Cash Converters and Cash Generator. I'm not sure how wide spread around the country they are. My local Cash Generator just sucked up bunch of PS4 sealed games from a closed down gaming shop and they were selling them between £2 to £4.

My GameCube recommendation is still Eternal Darkness and I’m going to comment it every video until the day you score it and give it a test run for us, I promise it’ll be the best pickup for the collection
Frankly speaking, I'm surprised it's not illegal. I know damn well that it wouldn't be legal in Europe considering they aren't even allowed to obfuscate pricing with taxes over there, let alone this shit lol
My opinion: pawn shops should understand they sell cheap to move fast. Resellers understand they may sit for a few weeks for the right price. Most people at pawn shops are looking for cheap deals, not retail price. Let everyone eat. If pawn shops buy a game for $1 or even $5, get the big markup like $5 or $20 depending on the kind of game, and then the reseller can make some money as well. All parties are happy.
If you're into wrestling at all, WWE: Day of Reckoning 1&2 are must pick ups for any GameCube collector. The price of them is reasonable, though the second one seems to be climbing out of a dip currently. Honestly, even if you aren't a wrestling fan I still recommend them both, they are both a ton of fun.

I think you're under the impression that these gaming companies are your friend and want to give you good deals. They are businesses (most of them honestly struggling to keep above water), and they have realized these assholes will come into their store with a smile on their face and rip them off and then go post videos online and you expect these store owners to just be like ehhhh it was only 20 dollars.......
@@seemlesslies yes I know that how businesses work(apparently better than you) but to claim someone is getting ripped of or that they are losing money if false. If I bought a stock from someone and it goes up in price did I rip someone off? Did they lose any money? You can say you dislike what they are doing but you can’t say the the store is losing money from in or they’re getting ripped off. them making the market more volatile actually makes it possible for these stores to make more money. If a store sells a product under value no one has ripped them off and they haven’t lost a cent if they made more than what they bought it for. All I expect is for stores to be smart enough to price their products correctly instead of searching it up when you get there. Obviously it’s their right to do business how they want but most consumers don’t like these type of business practices.
It is awesome to see you in Fort Wayne hitting the pawn shops. Merry Christmas
I was about to say the same thing. I was like that looks like the forts mega!
Yep! I stop at that mega replay at least 3 times a week! Really good prices when you find the right games!
Happy to see other Fort Wayne peeps watching!
I absolutely understand this man - super annoying when I lived in Miami
Good Ole Fort Wayne! Been to that Cash America and the Game Quest down the street! Cool to see familiar places in videos! Great vid!
I think having to look up prices because they are not pricing items is wrong. I'll pretty much never buy from those kind of sellers. Usually a waste of time, overpriced and no deals to be found
Ur youtube is awesome been looking for diffrent pace in videos im bout to binge watch ur old videos
my number one suggestion has to be Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
Stop cursing its a sin.................
Yes, that Crazy Taxi brings memories. Love that game with those epic music tracks.
I have to admit the truck jumpscare actually got me
Love seeing you in my home town of Fort Wayne! I definitely need to check out the pawn shops around here. Mega replay is real hit or miss and besides that it’s a desert for retro games up here.
Caleb, if you were to take amazon out of the picture and only sell on ebay, Facebook marketplace, mercari, ect. How well do you think you'd do?
Not as well
Not a gamer, but your vids are entertaining and appreciate your hustle!
Id be annoyed if they have to look up prices.
Lmfao big facts!!!
Seeing you in the video in my city and recognizing places in my town was so surreal
Edit: He was in Fort Wayne indiana
Just came across your page. What app do you use to scan the games when researching resell value
he uses the Amazon app since he sells on Amazon , you can do it on the eBay app too just scan the barcode on there
what app
21:23 THAT’S ME BAYBEEEEEE
I can't stand it when I go to a shop, especially actual video game stores, and nothing is priced. There's a place not far from me that has a really nice selection of stuff but I seldom go there specifically because I know every game is just getting looked up. I dont mind paying a fair price it just feels like a tremendous waste of time and a bad retail experience.
There is nothing quite like finding games not priced yet! So sweet!
Soul Caliber 2 should’ve been on the list. It’s such a fun party style fighter. So good
Still puts fighters 20 years later to shame with the awesome content in that game. I don't get why a Team Battle equivalent isn't in modern fighters, we used to have 10 people playing in a single match with that.
Paper Mario thousand year door is my favorite GameCube game and holds up beautifully imo. Most others I've gone back to didn't hold up.
Stop cursing its a sin dude.............
Additionally because it's a 45 minute drive to his store he always tosses in freebies, discounts, etc. just for making the drive and supporting his business.
this series is probably my favorite on the channel
Haha I was working when you came through. Glad you enjoyed our store!
It's about 25 min away from where you are in this video.
disagree, pawn shop are the same as everyone they're trying to make profit. you're reselling a game to make profit so what's the difference?
Just found your channel, love the content bro. Enter the matrix was my favourite GC game. Much Love from the UK
Bro why you get salty when they are doing the same hustle your doing.
soul caliber with the gamecube special edition with link was one of the sickest crossovers they ever did! he was a complete badass in that game and the only player I would use since the others were to gore or dressed too sexy
Seeing the Mega Replay location I go to is so weird feeling. Because I'd never expect to see anyone actually recording it or even go in there from so far out
One video and I'm in love with this series. Subbed!
Always love how you flip and collect at the same time
I had the same thing happen to me several times as far as me buying some real nice bly-rarys and they gave them to me dirt cheap. They are trying to clear some rack space so right now during the pandemic when sales for them are slow is the best time to go out and get some deals.
Man your video quality has gotten better and better. Really love the improvement bro
My favourite GameCube games are Zelda , final fantasy crystal chronicles and Mario galaxy . The GameCube was such an underrated console
Living in Fort Wayne it’s so dope to see your vids when you come here man
Video was posted a year ago and is still MONEY! Fairly new subscriber and catching up on all the content. Good stuff.
Bro I just got into your videos and I recently watched this video today. I saw familiar places in the video and then I realized you were around Fort Wayne. I never thought you would come all the way over here! Happy to see that my area gets some love haha. Good luck with your gamecube gambit bro, hope you achieve it!
Damn wish I would of new your were in Fort Wayne. That my home town and were I'm living at. Was cool seeing you go to places I go to all the time. Are mega replay it awsome. Also you came when they were remodeling the outside of that shopping center.
You were game hunting in my hometown!!! I thought things looked familiar for a while there, and then I saw the downtown skyline.
The first minute of this was DIVINE
happy to see you going for gamecube a collection :D I would love to have a full collecttion of that and the n64 and have been working hard to obtain it :D about 6 years ago i had 2 orange spice gamecubes imported from japan(one CIB) and found a XD lugia variant GC at a yardsale. I start working for a collectable toy and video game store next week doing console repairs and i think itll be great to have first dibs on what comes in. Super stoked. Loved the vid
Frogger on the GC was a throwback, I wish I never sold my GC collection once my Wii gave out.
Pretty cool you were in Fort Wayne, that's where I live :-). I hate that they look up prices, it really is a bad business practice. Hope you had fun, keep making good content, I'd love to do this someday.
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 I am so enjoying these videos.
My hometown! Fort Wayne , can’t believe you were in town.
My dad found a gamecube in the dumpster as well as an electric guitar a few years ago. Still have both
21:42 wouldbe bought that desert storm in a heartbeat i love those games they are literally my childhood
I knew you'd go back for that Gems collection as soon as you put it down....haha too funny.
The best game that people never talk about is Time Splitters 2! That game's multiplayer is so fun and the story mode is super fun
POWER RANGERS DINO THUNDER WAS AWESOME. Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking but I loved that game as a kid, you should really try it out. Maybe not to flip but to play. If I remember it’s almost kinda free roam which was always my favorite type of games on the GameCube. Even though they were few and far between
Bro! I actually thought you almost got hit with the little truck clip LOL I had to rewind it. Decided to go back into reselling again. Probably don't remember but I had that issue with Amazon FBA losing all my stuff and was out a good chuck of change. Decided to do merchant fulfilled only.
I really hate it when they say I'll look it up......I get that a lot at car boots. Our UK pawn shops are quite lacking. As far as im aware we only really have 2 chains.
What chains do we have? I'm in rural Scotland and we had a pawn shop in town...and it closed. Must be tough times when even the Pawn shops close!
@@MelonGearSolid Cash Converters and Cash Generator. I'm not sure how wide spread around the country they are. My local Cash Generator just sucked up bunch of PS4 sealed games from a closed down gaming shop and they were selling them between £2 to £4.
Rogue Squadron is fun, I remember unlocking all the starfighters. Dont sleep on Conflict: Desert Storm 2. Worth the price. 4 player co op tactical shooter.
the best thing in the video is the poliwhirl cap just amazing.
My GameCube recommendation is still Eternal Darkness and I’m going to comment it every video until the day you score it and give it a test run for us, I promise it’ll be the best pickup for the collection
Glad you were able to find gotcha force!
Spiderman shattered dimensions is my favorite childhood game
Frankly speaking, I'm surprised it's not illegal. I know damn well that it wouldn't be legal in Europe considering they aren't even allowed to obfuscate pricing with taxes over there, let alone this shit lol
Hell yeah. So glad you went back and got gems. What a score from mega replay
I had fitted bed sheets with the exact same design as your hat back when I was a kid lol
Also, sonic gems collection is very rare, 50 bucks is a great price for gems collection
MEGA REPLAY SAVES THE DAY DAY lol I used to live in Fort Wayne .. ITS LIT.
Are u just looking them up on ebay app to track prices?
If you're into wrestling at all, WWE: Day of Reckoning 1&2 are must pick ups for any GameCube collector. The price of them is reasonable, though the second one seems to be climbing out of a dip currently. Honestly, even if you aren't a wrestling fan I still recommend them both, they are both a ton of fun.
This is crazy this in my hometown! I go to mega replay every week
honestly the nfl street series and nba street games are some of my favorites, i just recently picked up NFL street for my gamecube
