I own a 650cc Burgman Executive, with ABS, and it's a hoot to ride. I grew up riding Vespas & Lambrettas and this is the best modernized version of them. I have 9 other normal motorcycles, from a Ducati to S10 Tenere and Honda dirt bikes. I won't have keyless ignition because anyone can steal it with you in bluetooth range of it. Say sitting in a restaurant in sight of it. And I prefer the Burgmans flat rider & passengers footboards. Unlike the Yamahas foot pegs for the passenger. My big B is happy crusing at 80 to 85 mph. I enjoy the selectable transmission modes on it too!
@EEEBA1 Thanks for clearing that up. My opinion comes from my youngest son and his pickup. His truck can be started and driven off if he's within 30 feet of it. I just assumed keyless motorcycles were the same. But I'm a little bit old school and am still trying to get used to the automatic transmission on the Burgman.
just like how some car people are manual enthusiast, some people just deny scooters and think that motorcycle is the best thing ever, hence this line being drawn i once said that a scooter is a motorcycle and the chat group mocked me for months.
@@x2s7The issue is that some people think a sport bike is the only kind of motorcycle or “real bike” same with the cruisers because those are common bikes here in the states . I had have a 20 year old Tmax 500, very reliable. Unfortunately can’t say the same for these. I bought a tec max 2020 model, and it’s an expensive machine to keep and not as reliable. Very disappointed with it, will be down grading to a single cylinder with the traditional cam setup. I hate the keyless feature, unreliable and I lost the key and it was a pain to replace. Stay clear, not worth the money!
This is a great scooter overall. Lots of accessories from around the world. Parts and Maintainence easy to come by. But BMW C650 GT is still my choice.
I like motorcycles and am saving for another... but that thing may be the third two wheel fun machine I buy if they're available in the usa cuz that thing is fuckin cool looking
I love classic motorbikes, cruisers, cafe racers... I just feel that design. But, I just cannot overlook how scooters are practical! How they handle so well on lower speeds. How they are livable, with awesome storage space, with gadgets and tech. And how comfortable they are. So, even though I love classic design of a bike, I have owned only scooters in my life. I enjoy driving them more than any type of bike ever. So relaxing.
Oooh it's far heavier, but it's more powerful and a little faster. Has more tech and more space for passengers and more features. But that's what you get when you pay more money for this vs. a Vespa 300. If you're just doing smaller commutes mainly in the city, get the Vespa
Any tmax or techmax owner can tell how is it like owning one?...i've heard that they have lots of problems?...expensive for maintainence?...idk how true...always wanted to own one...but im abit apprehensive to buy one...
lots of problems like what? how old are these bikes and what is their service history? Yamaha is known for making high quality and reliable bikes but they must have maintainence done on time to keep them running well
I wouldn't advocate wearing tennis shoes while riding any kind of motorcycle or scooter. They might look good when you're rolling down the road but in a crash, they ain't going to protect your feet.
i think you meant to say, not a big fan of either a Manual motorcycle or a Semi-manual motorcycle, then this : "automatic" motorcycle is right for you.... coz that scooter is a motorcycle as well, my friend kind of like a sedan which is also a car 😅
I did a test ride recently of that identical bike here in the United States. As you know, we have got an excellent interstate system. Let me tell you that bike rides like a rocket on rails down our interstate system I loved it.
Getting a big scooter soon I ride an mt09 now just want something more comfortable put stuff in ect yes it’s not as fast but don’t care ect still moves 5 seconds to 60 ain’t slow

Its a T-max TechMax... also never seen a scooter with the engine over the rear wheel. It is always somewhere in the middle. Do you even know what are you talking about?
Total rip off price wise, the Honda Forza 750 is around £3,000 cheaper and it's way faster than the T-MAX and there's nothing on it equipment wise that justifies this price difference. It's got cruise control and a heated seat so nothing that spending £300 you couldn't get on the Honda . Test rode it and didn't like the CVT transmission but I ride motorbike and the DCT transmission is way more flexible. Go test ride it and if you like great. The other downside is that if you want to use the satnav there's a monthly subscription to pay.
defeats the purpose of a motorcycle. what's the point of buying a 20k motorcycle if you can get a car for that price which is more powerful and practical. motorcycles imo only make sense around the 5-10k range otherwise just get a car
You can filter with a motorcycle, that alone is a good reason to get one, and generally speaking I'd say motorcycles are more practical, not the other way around. Though I agree 20k is an insanely high price, since a large part of the appeal of motorcycles is costing a lot less than a car.
It’s Yamaha T-Max. Tech-Max is just the top trim version of it.
There's also X-Max Tech-Max in the family. Hopefully N-Max could get the same treatment too
@@hamakaze9812I would love an Nmax 300. Would trade my Xmax 300 for it.

My motorcycles keyless igniting works only when the key is next to the bike. Three steps away, nothing the bike will not start.

Scooters are the road legal golf carts of the car world.

Would buy it in a heartbeat if it wasn´t so expensive and if the fuel consumption was better...
Anywhere else in the world is cheaper than Singapore, for motor-vehicles. FML.
You hit the nail on the head!
Yup. It's overpriced. It's the same price as the Honda X-ADV but the Honda is 750cc adventure scooter with a dual clutch, the TMax is just 560cc.

T-max
It's called a maxi scooter and they are hella comfortable

It's a Maxie, a mid engine motorcycle..
I believe these are going to play bigger roles in transportation in the coming years.
keyless is a negative point nowadays its just makes it easy for a thief to code a new key and steal ot it😢
It ain't as easy as people make it out to be
most thieves aren't hackers but many know how to hotwire keyed ignition...
Concours 14 is keyless since 2008 and is absolutely unhackeable.
Love maxi scooters. My Gilera ST200 was so much fun. Especially as it looked the same as the 125 😂
