    I've had many bikes. I also have never been a multi-mile type rider. Only 3 times in my decades riding career have I gone over 100 miles in one day. And the longest of those (152mi.) , was on the Burgman 400 comfortably. I could have kept any of them, but the Burg just makes me happy to ride. Just twist and go.

    I drove Sym,Kymco and Yamaha Maxi-Scooters, but for me the Burgman 400 is the best of all. I'm 1,90cm tall, and i am sitting easy and comfortable on it. The suspension works fine, even on bumpy roads. Torque is pushing good in lower rpm sections.
    I own a 2023 Burgman 400 in Silver.

    You can use the feet forward to your advantage. Initiate the lean, countersteer. Or on back position lean foot a little sideways knee extended....not trying to drag.

    I usually ride an old Honda 600cc sport tourer but I need something disposable for the salty winter roads.
    Was deciding between a Yamaha Majesty 250 or a Suzuki Burgman 400 but I think this video convinced me to go with more power.

    Just ordered ours, old age .health issues, getting our leg over has gotten more difficult. We have a 650 v strom, great bike just can't manage it as easily as we used to. We are just two old Fogies who like a little thrap round . Nothing to quick or wild, by all accounts once we get over the fact it's a scooter, should tick all our boxs. Nice video. Thanks. Useless, basically. Tells the rider he/she is now burning less fuel. As if they'll be moronic enough to not be able to comprehend that from the fact that they've closed the throttle a bit - but somehow be not too moronic to be able to comprehend that from the sudden illumination of the light. Seems a pretty fine line to me. Maybe eight sentient beings in the universe have exactly that few brain cells.

      Before i Bought my Burgman 400, i was looking at the Yamaha Majesty 400.
      They are both Very similar Mid-range 400cc Maxi-Scooters , 1 Cilinder machines, low 30's HP. The Yamaha has a very slight advantage in power, it translates to almost 10km/h (6mp/h) in Top Speed. On the other hand the Suzuki has a slight advantage in Fuel consumption.
      The biggest difference IMO is that Yamaha, killed the Majesty 400 production around 2017, in favor of the Yamaha Xmax 400.
      While the Suzuki Burgman 400 is still in full production.
      That's why the Burgman is more popular and ALSO, you can find parts for the Suzuki, WAY easier.
      Even the bikes themselves, if you look Used bikes, you're gonna find a lot more Burgmans 400, than Majesty 400.
      But, they are both confortable and amazing machines for either daily use on a more urban cenario with some Highway/ Freeway, or, Long trips of several hours per day on highway, with speeds of 150 Km/h without even getting close to the Red line, or Overheating.

      In my opinion the Honda NC750x DCT would be a better bike giving a proper bike experience, better suspension and handling and maintenance free DCT transmission, more economical too.

  • @o00scorpion00o
    @o00scorpion00o 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I currently ride a Tmax 500 from 2007, it's quite fast and to be honest more than fast enough for public roads to have fun on.
    It's a decent bike but It's not a great handling bike and it does take more efford on windy roads and turns.
    I recently rode the Honda CBF600 and it was far better to ride, much better suspension and more comfortable, the wide seat on the tmax means I can't flat foot it at lights and it becomes uncomfortable.
    I also don't like the CVT and it's less fuel efficient vs Honda's DCT and the DCT needs no maintenance vs CVT belt, rollers etc.
    The big scooters are expensive but the new Tmax 530 is a joke altogether, I would never in a million years buy one new or even a couple of years old.
    The storage is convenient on the Tmax but a set of panniers and a top box and you got a lot more storage on a normal bike.
    I have the tmax up for sale because there are far better bikes to ride, the tmax suspension is far too hard on back roads and a lot of this might be down to the smaller wheels.
    In the city to be honest bikes like the CUb 125 while not fully auto would be a lot more fuel efficient than the CVT scooters.
    I think it would be crazy for someone to spend the money on a new Tmax for example vs the Honda NC750x DCT if they want an auto. The NC750x is a lot cheaper.
    I can see the attraction to the Burgman, never had one but I read that it's got a softer suspension setup which might be better for me but the Tmax 500 is very powerful at around 40 Hp.

      @Feet.forward  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The burgman definitely isn't powerful but its definitely comfy and personally i think they handle great, plenty nippy enough to have fun on

      @@Feet.forward Maybe the burgman is more comfortable on the road but the 2007 Tmax 500 suspension is very rough on bad roads. It is a lot of fun though.

    The Burgman 400 _was_ the king of the scooters when released long time ago. Even the previous generation was incredible with big storage capacity. Current model is a downgrade of the Burgman 400 concept. It retains the main drawback of the model, 13" rear tire, and reduces a lot the space under the seat and power: 29 CV. Another outrageous decision of Suzuki was the removal of the 650 twin cylinder version, the best GT megascooter ever built.

    • @Feet.forward
      @Feet.forward  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Feet.forward I sooooooooooooo miss my Burgie 650 - was a great machine but boy was it heavy - sadly had to sell due to surgery thinking I'd not recover sufficiently to handle the weight but I could now - typical! Am furiously searching for a good, low mileage used one - just wish Suzuki hadn't pulled the plug on this one. IMHO I think the 650 is far better than the 400 BUT I know the 400 is more nimble and better for commuting!

    Their no sports bike. Suspension is harsh, It's not overfast, CVT transmission makes it bland to Ride. Give me my Drz 400 any day. Hang on though If that's the case why am I always riding my burgman 400? Well it's more practical. Better on fuel consumption. Better weather protection. No one pinches them.
