I love the care you take of your fishery, and the humour that you show in doing so. I also loved to see that you could have kept a very large lobster as it was within size, but you chose to let it go to sustain you fishery. Combine farmers, small farms daily routine "Release the Quakin!", people who buy quality clothing thrifting for resale, people who buy furniture and remake it into incredible pieces, people who clean hoqrder's houses, power washers, rug cleaners, people who save seals from plastic chords around them, truckers, lots more. Jacob is one of my favorites, though.
I completely agree. I grew up in Maine where lobsters were a pride of the state and now I get to see a wholesome guy like Jacob representing my homestate. It's awesome and I love the exposure he's giving to the trade.

Now they have a full time camera man to do it, so Keith is back to dealing with only the traps… And I suppose he will still be occasionally jumping in the ocean for random artifacts, getting sprayed with barnacle bits, and being the victim of boat practical jokes, but for now, his cameraman days are on hold! If I was on a lobster boat, I wouldn’t relinquish cameraman duties… there is always a risk with fishing, the cameraman ALWAYS survives no problem. 😂🤪

I grew up in hull mass , my impression of the lobsterman there was very tough men you kept your distance from especially in the local bar rooms. You sir are a kind hearted man not saying your not tough but when you take barnacles off and send them on there way with a snack touches many hearts. Thanks for sharing your knowlege too.

I used to have an uncle that was a lobster fisherman. But that was over 50 to 60 years ago. Whenever we traveled back to Van Buren, ME, my uncle would drop off a huge box of lobsters for my mom, his baby sister, to enjoy. They looked absolutely massive, but then, I was only 8 yrs old. Back then, they didn't use rubber bands on the claws, but inserted a wooden wedge to prevent the lobster from opening the claw. My cousins and I would play with them on my aunts back lawn until it was time for the lobster boil feast! Corn on the cob, fiddleheads, classic, onions, potatoes, carrots, you name it. Mmmm. Bon apatite!

My son who's 25, as of the 21st of this month, and I'm dirt old the 29th😅, we both are constantly interrupting each other, "did you see this one?" Is it bad that I binge watch you? I grew up in hull mass , my impression of the lobsterman there was very tough men you kept your distance from especially in the local bar rooms. You sir are a kind hearted man not saying your not tough but when you take barnacles off and send them on there way with a snack touches many hearts. Thanks for sharing your knowlege too.

I love that he gives them a treat, such a compassionate gesture. I noticed that sometimes some of the lobsters in his other TikTok videos lose the fish, the ones that use both claws have no problem holding on to their snack.

Congratulations Jacob, I live in the middle of England along way from the coast, I find you blog so interesting and you and your crew are really nice people, I am looking forward to seeing your blogs in the future.
I used to have an uncle that was a lobster fisherman. But that was over 50 to 60 years ago. Whenever we traveled back to Van Buren, ME, my uncle would drop off a huge box of lobsters for my mom, his baby sister, to enjoy. They looked absolutely massive, but then, I was only 8 yrs old. Back then, they didn't use rubber bands on the claws, but inserted a wooden wedge to prevent the lobster from opening the claw. My cousins and I would play with them on my aunts back lawn until it was time for the lobster boil feast! Corn on the cob, fiddleheads, classic, onions, potatoes, carrots, you name it. Mmmm. Bon apatite!
