Honestly I came expecting to see a descent into madness, was absolutely not ready for that raw, real emotion. Hats off to you Rory, absolutely incredible effort, and huge respect to you and your supportive family!
I have been playing for two years now and I’ll be so fkn honest when I tell some of you who don’t play that often That I get tired after an hour or at the max three hours. I can’t even comprehend how Rory has done this race. For some it’s just a game but for me It’s an emotion cause it fulfils my dream of having to drive these cars that I can’t afford right now and I just wanna tell you Rory that you are the greatest driver I’ve ever seen. I’ve been watching your videos regularly and even when I’m eating lunch I just tune in to your live and it’s just great to watch you, but this was next level shit man. MASSIVE RESPECT. I am Happy and Honored to say I was there and witnessed it. Such a rollercoaster, tears were rolling down my face. Gained so much respect for you again. AMAZING Rory... well done!!!
While watching the stream around lap 150 my wife asked me to explain what you were doing. Why does someone climb a mountain? Swim across the English channel? Because we can.
@@murphychris9811while I agree with your sentiment, heroes can take many forms. This is a massive accomplishment for Rory’s career as well as an example for his kids and those watching of true commitment and perseverance to achieve something you challenge yourself to do. Just amazing - was there at the start, for many hours during day one, when it was raining, when it was dark and then for the last 50 laps - after the depths of the lows to see the reinvigoration when the boys came in was fantastic but then to see the likes, subs and ultimately the concurrent viewers just grow and grow was exactly what you deserved. Well done Rory, have been there for many of your key streams and moments over the last two years but this beats them all - truly inspiring.
Man this is nuts. I remember doing 182 laps in 24h on GT4 way way back. Sexiest S2000 in the game, maxed out NA tune, on sports tyres... was madness. Is worth noting that I spent an entire day just tuning (as opposed to just adding parts to) the car day to be microscopically ideally adjusted for every single inch of its route around the Green Hell. That was the day I REALLY got to know the Nordschleife. The race was just the culmination of my efforts, albeit a massive challenge nonetheless. One you now understand. BLOODY WELL DONE from a man who knows.

Well done mate! Just wanna sayI’m going through a tough time at the moment and I watch your videos to decompress every day. Thanks for the content we really appreciate it 👍🏽
The longest day I've ever worked (if you could call it a day) is 36hours straight. Started 6am Saturday morning and finished 6pm Sunday evening. I know exactly what it's like to stay awake for so long, but not only to just stay awake, but to have to maintain full concentration to try and avoid making mistakes. What you attempted and achieved was fascinating and very entertaining because of how insane it was. You deserve all the kudos that came your way and continues to come your way. Well done man. Congratulations.
Did the 24 hour nurburgring endurance in GT5. Hands wanted to die afterwards, but after a few hours it's all muscle memory. I think I lapped the AI 10 times over lol
Dude, I'm a big fan of yours. I love your videos, and they help me get my day going here in the US. Your live videos are usually wrapping up when I get to my desk in the morning, and I'm here for them. So keep the great content coming. I just wanted to say that it was awesome to see you take the time for the kiddos. It's so important, and you didn't hesitate even for a second. Much respect for that. I let my youngest at 6 sit on my lap when I'm playing, and she's started asking to drive the cars on her own. She can't reach the pedals yet, but I can appreciate the enthusiasm on her part..lol. Anyways, cheers mate, and thank you for the content.
Take a bow Rory, you bloody leg-end. To watch you from the following morning and seeing you are beaten, then your 2 boys came in, that was the energy you needed to carry this monumentous endurance and finish it. And to break records, you are a LEGEND....!
You are a superhero. I feel almost guilty that you had to do this 28 hour race, but man, you are tough, and it's so overwhelming to see that your family is your reason to keep going. This video is not only a race on gran turismo, is the dedication of a man
Wow what an achievement, having taken part in real world 24 hour races I can only appreciate the mental strength it must’ve taken you to go for so long, drivers are typically done after 2/3 hour stints (obviously the physical challenge is different) but those night stints in particular are more brutal. Unreal effort earnt a big follow here!
They knew we love them but they don’t understand just how much we actually love them. I’ve been in a similar position doing the WEC 24Hrs with two workmates, when my wife brought my daughter down at 0300 it just finally broke me to the point I was able to pick myself up and carry on for the last 7 hours. As we said we would all go through it together and then sleep afterwards 🤣 Was very refreshing to see someone else as a father just taking that extra minute to appreciate the love running into the room. I’ve always enjoyed watching you, Rory, but now you have my respect and admiration. Thank you for being you.
Of all the small TH-camrs I've subbed (I subbed when you quit your job), you are the hardest worker of them all. No wonder you've grown and gained so much success. Deserved!
Bro... you are an absolute BEAST of a unit. The mental fortitude to stick with it needed for this is crazy. Good on you, mate! you've got a subscriber here.
The kids coming into the camera just gave me a thought: How about you do a Gran Turismo 24-hour Nurburgring with your boys when they get a bit older? It will be fun! Anyway, huge congrats to the incredible achievement. It was so inspiring. I am so proud of you not just for completing this challenge but also taking a leap of faith to devote yourself to full-time race streaming. That was so inspiring and motivating. Now, whoever says sim-racing is not a sport again, I am gonna show him/her this video. Great Job, Rory! ❤❤❤

That's nice to hear, it is exactly what I am trying to achieve. There is enough rubbish and negativity in the world, if this tiny corner of the internet can be a please of peace for people then I have achieved my goal!
props to this man, a legend if you will, the race wasn’t the most important , but that message of the reason for you boys is wholesome and heartwarmi, your a great man and i wish your subs double by the end of the year, i wish your pure success, you really deserve it
That's incredible. Also on one of the biggest race-tracks worldwide, that makes it even harder. Your dedication is phenomenal. You've earned my subscription 👍
Imagine doing this IRL, i know they swap drivers cause it’s probably impossible to actually drive 24h solo, but just imagine, even the mental strain for the stints they do, in the dark. But seeing this guy, seeing his family, has absolutely strengthened my heart, the support, the love, the mental fortitude and the strength to do this, i could never do this, massive props, and massive love and support, i just hope he makes it big and i hope someday i build a family like his. Subbed and liked.
I didn't realize until the end of the video that you did the WHOLE Nurburgring, not just the loop. If I could like and subscribe twice I would. Congratulations man.
Man, I've seen many of your videos, but this one made me to supscribe, even though I'm totally not a racer. But this type of dedication should be rewarded! 😊
Man you should get a medal for this. 200 laps on the track that I hate most.. I wanna shake your hand 😂 Amazing! Congratulations! And now you have a new subscriber!
Just stopping in to say a massive well done, was in and out of the stream and could see how much effort it was taking, not just the racing but being live and trying to entertain for that length of time is insane! Massive well done! Watching this video and what you said about wanting to be around for your boys really hit me hard. I’m not sure if you remember but I’m a small reasonably fresh channel (about 8 months in at this point) and I had a race with you on Forza at Watkins Glen, and not only did you apparently watch it you were kind enough to comment as well. The whole reason I am making videos is because I found out last August I was going to have my daughter (now 11 weeks old) and I realised I don’t want to be away 50 hours a week making money for someone else while I miss her growing up, so I decided to get on myself, for the first time in my life, and see if I can make a go of it. 8 month in and I’m closing in on 900 subscribers which is mind blowing to me and just want to say thank you for your content and for just being a nice guy and clearly a loving and devoted dad! Thank you for coming to my TED talk

That's nice to hear, it is exactly what I am trying to achieve. There is enough rubbish and negativity in the world, if this tiny corner of the internet can be a please of peace for people then I have achieved my goal!
props to this man, a legend if you will, the race wasn’t the most important , but that message of the reason for you boys is wholesome and heartwarmi, your a great man and i wish your subs double by the end of the year, i wish your pure success, you really deserve it
Popped back up on my feed today, we don’t talk about this enough, massive 🎉
I remember watching a fair chunk of this at the time. Watching back this video was great....I'm not crying...You are! xxx
Love the way you care so much for your family. Wish you all good health and keap on streaming/simracing! You are for a lot of ppl an inspiration!
I didn't realize until the end of the video that you did the WHOLE Nurburgring, not just the loop. If I could like and subscribe twice I would. Congratulations man.
That was absolutely awesome fella. You had me getting emotional at one point. Just such a great vid.
You absolute hero mate! Well done and wish you all the continued success!!!!
I’m glad this is the first video I ever watched from your channel you’re amazing
Your success couldn't happen to a more deserving and genuine guy. Keep it up and be proud!
It's the most badass track in the world..
Thank you for coming to my TED talk
this is the first video i've seen of yours but i can tell you're an awesome father!! take my sub!
Wow. What an achievement. I dropped in and out while you were doing this, you are either mad or crazy or both! A truly epic performance Rory.
