I went from 36 lbs (32 actual, tiller bolt turned in) to 42 (38 actual) and loved it. Depending on personal strength, heavier limbs will clean up some sloppy habits. The heavier string will want to go toward the target, overpowering any micro movement in string hand that may bias the string in or out or up or down.
Release! I watched the Koreans release during the Olympics. They are masters of just relaxing when the clicker sounds. Even Brady appears to try and physically open his fingers rather than just relax on the click. Maybe you can explore this technical aspect of the sport.
I have tried so hard for this. Used the bucket method, but still find for the cleanest release I can do, I need to open my fingers. Looks bad and if I don't concentrate, can lead to some awful shots. Just got to keep practicing.
Hello! Off topic question. I am using quite a low power bow recurve bow (24 pounds), i was wondering how low can i place my sight so the arrow wouldnt impact it. Dont want to fuck around and find out. 😀 I can configure the sight so it would be level of the arrow, but that would be no good of course. Just wanted some sort of a minimum point of the gap between the arrow and the sight. Currently i have it at about 17mm (about 3/4in), but havent tested it at a strong headwind at 70 meters. Do you have any suggestions about the minimum gap between the arrow and the sight?
So many thing can effect this gap. As long as the arrow can clear the sight pin you should be good. I can't give a distance as it changes due to type of sight, arrow diameter , position of sight. For 24lb trying to get out to 70m must be difficult. One thing if distance is an issue is to turn the sight around so it's facing towards you. Closer it is to you will allow for greater distance.
@@brookvalleylife724 Thank You! Yes, temporary solution for now is to turn it around, but that, of course, has its own drawbacks. Best solution here is gym and 30lbs. :D
My guess b4 u shot Andrew was the intermediate # Junxing/N3 combo. At that point I wasn't sure what arrows u were using on each bow & if they were designed to be with that bow🎉.😮 My fatigue issues from last year have been solved by supplements. Things that help me build lean muscle tissue, maintain a great blood flow & digestive flow as well. The last thing I'm doing is eating what I need & not what I want. Avoiding food that r testosterone killers really helps or it all just goes to waste or fat & u never feel 100%. Drier & cooler air over the next couple of months will definitely help. Toodles😅.
@@josephtreadlightly5686 Yes I think I messed that up a bit but the arrows were correct for each bow. I have been really busy the last two weeks insulating 2 bedrooms , new dry wall and flooring and to cap it off, fell off a step ladder onto a chest of draws and think I have bruised my ribs (don't think I cracked any) as it's rather painful when I move wrong....
@@brookvalleylife724 Yep, I know that. Last year on Oct. 24th I was @ the end of my driveway putting fence up on a ladder. The problem was my fence strainer was under tension on a post attached to 75 feet of fence. So @ full draw I was like dry fired onto my driveway & my head was 10 feet away when I hit the ground. My feet were 4 feet off the ground upon release. As it got dark it started to drizzle & I usually would of gone inside. But I had a State employee coming over the next morning. It was the beginning of January until the cracked cartilage between 2 ribs on my right side healed. I have a hand stamp on my desk & using that hand stamp was the worst pain I had. Really affected my hunting season in November & December.
@@brookvalleylife724 The bow should be jumping straight forwards out of your hand, towards the target. It looks like you're grabbing the grip as you release. Even just letting the bow slide through your fingers helps, but if you don't let the bow jump forward, there's no way in hell the arrow will go straight. If the bow doesn't feel like it wants to jump forward, then you've either got waaaay too much weight on the side rods or something is fundamentally wrong with your shoulder and front arm alignment, causing a full system collapse.

What arrow spine used on the lightest poundage?
My Nika Warpath riser arrived - love it!
Even their entry-level limbs are good...
@@davidjensen2411 800 on the lowest poundage. 750 is for the middle and 700 for the heaviest. Nice budget bow the warpath.

Now I've been watching your video and your release is inconsistent if i was u i would clean it up a bit to get better shots in my opinion but not bad😊

Why do you not use a finger sling? You are throwing points away with such weak front side execution.
I really have an issue with something on my fingers when I shoot. That is why I use a wrist sling. Any advice to improve??
