In the original, Kirito has basically no personality. In this, he actually has a personality and feelings. He’s more likeable because we go through the journey with him, from loser who has games to help him cope and only cares about himself to sociopath with a god complex that now has someone to die for (Asuna). So that’s why we actually like him compared to original Kirito.

The scene that sent me the most in this entire abridged series up to date, is the scene where the narrator goes "What the fu..." when the Christmas boss drops.
It's heavily implied that Abridged!Kirigaya Suguha/Leafa,(long with the reveal that he was adopted and his grandfathers high expectations),emotionally abused him until his only real escape was games where he realized that he could turn the tables to a very startling and almost hilarious degree, and therefore developed a God Complex concerning the 'One Thing' Suguha couldn't really bash him for, and the rest of his family didn't really know about, because he was so good at it.
