    Is there any way to move the section in specific increments?
    For example, like with this kitchen model, lets say I want a section cut every 15cm/6inches, is there any way to move the section with exactly that measurement?
    I hope my question is clear enough :)
    Great vid!

    • @FarouqAlaswad
      @FarouqAlaswad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sure you can, but manually!
      Select the section, press on Absolute (down beside x,y,z) and the make section, then move it 6cm ..
      The abosulte button will make the x,y,z as 0,0,0 so when you add 6cm, it will add the specific amount to the main coordinates 👍

    I am using xref to become file less cozy so i am using this section its not working on other xref file.its cutting section on main file that all.can you suggest any solution?

    • @FarouqAlaswad
      @FarouqAlaswad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, by using xref you should do the section command to the original block file, bcz when you import it to another file as xref, it import it as a reference from the original file.
      My advice is to finish your project, after rendering it, remove any unnecessary elements as trees and plants (without any xref models) then make a section for it.

    first, thanks a lot
    then
    I've seen a video where he youse AutoCAD architecture
    he bring the project from 3ds to AutoCAD architecture then he use section command and the section came out
    it similar to the section in Revit
    do you have any ideas about it ?

    • @FarouqAlaswad
      @FarouqAlaswad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, yeah I know it, but it won't work with big projects, especially interior projects cz it will be a huge file with so many vertex and polys .. so you'll wait like a thousand-year to import the 3d file into the autocad 😅
      So this way is so much easier and faster
