I feel like he’s only difficult in poh for people who actually hear complaints about him. He was a first try every time, with the only problem being his radiant form. It’s just a stereotype given to him at this point, but if you struggle in poh with him and not double damage ascended or radiant instead then you don’t know why he’s actually considered difficult, you just want to fit in
@@HalberCon It's not so much fighting Markoth. It's not having a floor the entire fight. But GPZ is worse. He's just annoying and he's one of like... Three(?) bosses who do double damage, overcharmed or not. I actually have trouble reading him. If anything keeps me out of P5, it's him, or due to not playing as much and lately, Sisters of Battle. I'm not saying they're a hard fight. I mean, they are, but it's a beautiful fight. I just forgot how fast they are lol
@@user-bk8vm8du9q I understand the floor being gone is annoying, but with every thing in the game needed for platforming, it’s not stupid difficult on ascended. Granted, it’s hell on radiant, but it also feels like the games preparing you for absrads platform phase with no eyes (who is also extremely overated in terms of difficulty for radiant) and markoth. If you can’t get past them in p5, you definitely can’t get past absrad who’s has way more with teleporting, needing her to come to middle plats, or her stacking attacks with the laser wall occasionally, and especially the climb

Sisters of battle is the community voted best boss in the game, with pure vessel being 2nd, Nightmare king Grim being 3rd and regular mantis lords being 4rth.
It just has such a satisfying rythm to it and while very predictable gives you very little heal windows.
Hmm idk, I was excited to try it when I first learned of it, but it was just kind of easy. I definitely prefer pure vessel and probably NKG too as they are more of a challenge.

@@imnotjuce I’m also biased because I love Grimm. Also I should note that I haven’t beaten absolute radiance yet so I can’t say anything about that, but for me the most satisfying to learn and just demolish has probably been pure vessel, while sisters of battle doesn’t even really feel harder than regular mantis lords, however that would probably change if I was using less abilities.

Hey, here's a tip. To help you beat it you can do bindings on previous pantheons to open the blue door next to hall of gods. I won't spoil it but it is a useful effect for all the pantheons.

Learning to not get hit and building up a pool of like 12 HP was how I beat P5 with bindings active. Funniest part was that I struggled the most with not having charms than I did with any of the other ones.

I finally beat P5 this morning after so many hours and hours of grinding. Best accomplishment in a videogame I've ever played.
Shoutout to Carefree Melody for saving my ass when an orb spawned on me in the final phase of Abs Rad.
Charms Used: Quick Slash, Strength, Carefree Melody, Steady Body, Grubsong.
The Mantis Lords boss fight is just… really fun. I can’t tell you how many times in Godhome I repeated that fight.
Getting to sly first try is insane, well done!
Even attempting P5 more than once is worthy of praise, well done.
If you would like to take a break from the P5 runs I’d recommend trying the speedrun, its not too difficult… after the watcher knight’s :) you dont really need to go for a good time, the route is fun and entertaining even without the pressure of speedrunning. The videos I strongly recommend is rusty’s speedrun guide (for learning the route) and QuinBoBin’s attemps at the speedrun (more for entertainment purposes), they both go for a more new speedrunner route which can help much more then the world records in my opinion. Goodluck :D

you can dream nail the jellyfish during the uumuu fight to get soul, or even uumuu himself for that matter. even after he dies you can get in some quick soul by dreamnailing the jwellyfish
As someone who has beaten all the bindings on p5, I highly recomend that you beat all bosses on radiant before doing the Pantheon of Hallownest (ESPECIALLY the final boss), this will prepare you much better and you'll get more, fun Hollow Knight gameplay that way. Imagine what you whent through with Pure Vessel but every death you lose over half an hour of proggress, that's what will happen if you don't practice the frick out of all the bosses.
Oh, and also you should switch out Long Nail for Shape of Unn, this will let you wizz around the arena wilst quickly healing, since quick focus makes the snail MUCH fater, this gives a near infinite amount of healing opurtunities, which is extremely usefull.
Nah, Radiant every boss is overkill for no-binding P5, beating Markoth or AbsRad on Radiant is wayy harder than P5, I think Pantheons are way more about consistency than "having a perfect run"
Personally, I go with the "Beat x boss y times in a row" approach, like:
Kill x boss 10 times in a row (Atunned)
Or
Kill x boss 5 times in a row (Ascended, mainly if the Boss changes arena in Ascended )
Not only that makes ur fights more consistent, It also captures better the nervosism behind reaching closer to the end of a Patheon, since, just like a Pantheon, if u lose u have to start over again
@@duckosson2650 I may have overpractised a bit, but it ment that I didn't have many devastating fails.
Also you make a good point on beating bosses multiple times in a row, I'll keep that mind when practicing for no heal, and eventually no hit runs, however far into the future that may be. :)
Markoth also stoped me in my first try... hm hm, on my very long first try. I like that they changed the bosses and areas in that pantheon, would be so boring to play all bosses over and over. I did't strugled on single boss actualy before markoth, and imagine me going like 10 times through those bosses, i played almost sleeping and then failed again lol. I like how you edit your videos, realy cool, so much work there... and very enjoying to watch.
A good way to fight Markoth with less pressure is equipping Shaman Stone at the previous bench and remembering that three shrieks is all it takes to kill his second phase.

Before you go into P5 again, try to the binding on the P1-P4 you don’t have to do all of them at once nor even do every single of the bindings. But TRUST ME, it will help you

Firstly, congratulations on making it to Pantheon of Hallownest. Most new players stop at Radiance (if they choose to go that far) since they either don't know about Godhome or think it's too much of a challenge for them.
Secondly, this is the second time you've disrespected the Troupemaster. But Grimm will be back for his second act, born again in the crimson flame of Nightmares... _If you know what I mean._
Thirdly, might I suggest equipping the Unbreakable Heart, as it gives you two extra Masks of health.
Your commitment to this Dewbidew is incredible and it warms my heart to see my favourite game in the quality of your videos, I will recommend you try the shape of unn charm instead of longnail for healing

It was so fun beating the sisters of battle on radiant. Also here’s a tip for the uumuu fight. You can dreamnail it for soul even when you can’t damage it

The build i use is: Unbrakeable Strength, March of Pride, Quick Slash, And Unbrakeable Hearth, that is the build i recomend You for 5th Pantheon, with a little change after White Defender fight: Unbreakable Hearth to Dream Wielder And Grub song, and returning to the Unbrakeable Hearth build after Nightmare King Grimm fight, i hope these builds are going to be useful for you and good luck with the 5th Pantheon ❤❤

One tip, just start with Hall of Gods, get everything on radiant, it'll make P5 really easy up until Abs Rad, at which point you go and kill Abs Rad on radiant, and then you'll get it. It's a lot of practice, takes a while, but it's much better and consistent than wasting hours and hours trying to get there dying to bosses you should be able to kill easily.
While I agree that doing this would almost trivialize P5, I also think that it isn't a good approach for most players. Trying to approach P5 like this turns it into a monumental task that I feel might turn most players who think it is necessary away. Even beating every boss on ascended I would say, is a greater challenge than the pantheon itself, much less trying to achieve radiant on all of them, especially since most of them players don't need practice in by this point anyways. Also trying to defeat the final boss of P5 on radiant alone I would say, is way more difficult than all of P5 put together. Really, all a player needs to do is to practice any boss they might be worried about getting stuck on until they can beat them consistently. After that, it may only take one more attempt to reach the end boss, and then they can practice that until they can beat it reliably too. In my case I beat P5 in 3 total attempts (Markoth got me on the first too), and only needed to practice the end boss for about an hour after my second attempt of P5, then I was ready to beat it.

@@duckosson2650 Yeah, I was considering mentioning how taking the all raidant approach is fine, but only if you wanted to do that anyways, but even then most players I think would decide they want to attempt that after doing the more important goal of beating P5, so overall I think it is best to avoid this kind of advice. I get that it is intended to be useful, but I believe it would only turn more people away.
Honestly I think that P5 was way easier than I thought once I had beaten it, the willingness to try was the biggest hurdle.

Tip: If you complete at least two pantheons with every binding (don't have to do them all four at once) you are awarded with lifeblood at every restroom between fights (how I like calling the resting areas).

You can desolate dive/descending dark dung defender while he is in the ground to stop his swimming phase which staggers him. This strategy does not work for white defender though.

Here's my advice to mastering the pantheons of Godhome for those who haven't done the Pantheon of Hallownest yet. For those who seek to get the Bindings, I'll also give some advice. Furthermore, I'll give recommendations for the absolute masochists (like me) who want to defeat P5 with all Bindings. at once, which will be referred to as 'P5AB'. There will be a spoiler warning before this section as it delves deeper into some of one of the new boss' attacks.
Normal Pantheon of Hallownest
Builds
I recommend using on of the following builds, depending on your playstyle.
- Quickslash, Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Shaman Stone and Spell Twister. This build is very versatile, deals massive burst damage and deals consistent damage with the nail. It requires the user to use spells effectively, but when done so is, in my humble opinion, by far the strongest build in the game.
- Quickslash, Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Mark of Pride and Soul Catcher/Longnail. This build is more for 'casual' players who don't use spells to their full potential. This builds has high nail-damage but a lot less spell damage. Though this build is powerful, I still recommend learning the basics of spells and to use them in combat. Longnail/Soul Catcher can be replaced by Steady Body + Grubsong if you're confident with Steady Body, as the knockback-removal after a hit can be used to deal a lot more damage when perfected. Fragile/Unbreakable Heart can also be used to give a small boost to your health.
- Quickslash, Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Grubsong, Quick Focus and any other 1 notch charm, likely either Spore Shroom, Steady Body or Nailmaster's Glory. This build is a lot more defensive, offering plenty of Soul to heal when necessary and still providing plenty of damage.
Preparation
- Beat all bosses in the Hall of Gods on the Ascended difficulty at least. Many of the bosses sport vastly different arena lay-outs in P5 which correspond to their arenas in the Ascended difficulty. I therefore recommend getting used to them.
- Get every single individual binding on the first four pantheons. Next to the entrance door of the Hall of Gods, another door can be found which has ornate, blue gemstone on it. This door opens upon getting enough Bindings on the pantheons. In it, you can find a blue, Dream Nail-able object which, when struck, will make Lifeblood Cocoons appear in the Hot Springs rooms in the Pantheons. Upon getting all of the bindings on the first four pantheons, the cocoons will contain 5 lifeseeds, which corresponds with 5 lifeblood masks, which come in very useful in P5. Additionally, getting bindings on the pantheons will be a great form of practice for the bosses within.
Pantheon of Hallownest
- Make sure to use Hot Springs rooms to their fullest. Don't sit on the bench when you have already collected the lifeblood masks, since they get reset upon doing so.
- Try to get to full masks after every boss fight, and heal within the boss fights when given the chance. This will reduce the risk of being defeated due to small, piling mistakes.
- Don't get too stressed out. When stressed out too much, pause the game after a boss or relax in the Hot Springs room for a little bit. Make sure to not rest too long, however, else you may go out of the rhythm. Also, don't pause when you're a little on edge; adrenaline is good for reaction time. Too much, however, will cause stress and mistakes.
- Upon encountering any new boss within the pantheon, try to best them and continue on to the final boss. Encountering them already allows you to practise them in the Hall of Gods, so don't worry about defeating them first try. Do, however, try to beat any other new bosses up until that point. Again, failing isn't a big problem, though it may lead frustration and, of course, a reset.
- Practise new bosses in the Hall of Gods upon encountering them. Again, Ascended will do nicely.
- Do not get mad upon losing to the final boss the first time you get there. The final boss is by far the hardest, non-Radiant boss in the game. You are very likely to die to them. Practise them upon defeat in the Hall of Gods on Ascended before attempting again and you should be able to best them within P5.
- Upon reaching the final boss, all missing masks are restored. However, no lifeblood masks are restored. Try to, therefore, get very good at the second to last boss to preserve some extra health.
- You can, if you feel necessary, switch to a health build containing Fragile/Unbreakable Heart and Lifeblood Core (which leaves 6 notches, which I would fill with Fragile/Unbreakable Strength and Shaman Stone or Quickslash if you are not comfortable with spells yet) before the second to last boss, since there is a Hot Springs room here with a bench.
Bindings
Nail Binding
- Use a build you like, but use Fragile/Unbreakable Strength. This charms mostly cancels out the lost damage, and though you wont deal as much damage as you would without the Binding, it isn't too bad either. I'd definitely recommend bringing Shaman Stone and Spell Twister and getting good at casting spells for this challenge, too, since they may prove to be the most effective form of damage here.
- This is a medium-difficulty Binding to obtain.
Shell Binding
- Use Fragile/Unbreakable Heart in your build, and potentially Lifeblood Core. My go-to build for this would be Quickslash, Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Fragile/Unbreakable Heart and Lifeblood Core. This provides more health then the normal game (10 masks), though only 6 are permanent. Still, this should prove to be plenty assuming you are already used to P5.
- This is an easy/medium-difficulty Binding to obtain.
Charm Binding
- Since no charms are available, no builds are recommended here. I'd recommend defeating all bosses on Radiant or on Ascended with no more than two instances of damage before attempting this Binding.
- This is a hard-difficulty Binding to obtain.
Soul Binding
- This Binding is quite easily obtainable by simply using a nail-centered build such as Quickslash, Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Mark of Pride and Longnail assuming you have already practised every boss on Ascended and have defeated P5 prior to this Binding.
- This is a easy-difficulty Binding to obtain.

SPOILER WARNING!!!!
Pantheon of Hallownest with all Bindings at once (P5AB)
- Beat the Hall of Gods Radiant first just to make sure you know how to dodge every boss' attacks.
- Defeat the first four pantheons with all Bindings equipped.
- If you want to get more practice and know how to install mods, I'd install the GodSeekerPlus mod, which adds in a new object to the left of the P5 hotspring which allows you to practise segments of P5.
- Practise The Collector, Invincible Fearless Sensual Mysterious Vigorous Enchanting Dilligent Overwhelming Gorgeous Passionate Terrifying Beautiful Powerful Grey Prince Zote, Markoth and Absolute Radiance A LOT. Advice for their individual fights will follow below.
The Collector
- Use Cyclone Slash. A LOT. Your nail 3-shots the summons, while Cyclone Slash 2-shots them. Make sure to be right next to the enemy when you start it (right next to where the jar falls), since all enemies, especially Primal Aspids, get knocked out of the range when you're too far. Additionally, Cyclone Slash puts out a lot of damage to The Collector without wasting Soul.
- Only use spells when absolutely necessary; I'd recommend using only Descending Dark and Shade Soul against summons. When possible, get a Shade Soul shot on all of the summons right when they spawn if they're far away. Otherwise, use Descending Dark. Only use Abyss Shriek on The Collector when you are in a very good position and all of the summons are dead.
- Don't go for hits on summons/The Collector when you're at a high risk of getting hit yourself in doing so.
Invincible Fearless Sensual Mysterious Vigorous Enchanting Diligent Overwhelming Gorgeous Passionate Terrifying Beautiful Powerful Grey Prince Zote
- Watch out for his sporadic movement. I'd recommend just practising him a lot on Radiant, since the playstyle is mostly the same with all bindings.
- Focus summons at all costs. Especially Hopping Zotelings, since they are less predictable.
- Volatile Zotelings (the explodey ones) can safely be hit once to get a bit of soul and to knock them out of reach.
Markoth
- Practise on Radiant (pretty straight forward but still necessary).
- Get comfortable with using Nail Arts against him.
- Use Shade Soul as your only spell. Use them whenever you get enough Soul, but do try to time them when
1) he is flying away from you or
2) when he is doing the shield spin attack, since you can safely get double hits in these two situations.
Absolute Radiance
- In phases 1/2 (before the Sword Rain phase), attempt to hit her whenever possible to get Soul. Use Descending Dark on the spikes on the floor to temporarily disable them when necessary, otherwise use Abyss Shriek to deal a lot of damage quickly. Healing is possible after some attacks. When you are in a safe spot after she finishes the Laser Burst attack, you can safely heal once assuming no spikes are summoning below you.
- In phase 3 (Sword Rain phase), deal damage with nail strikes and Abyss Shrieks. (Normal gameplay for the most part)
- in phase 4 (platform phase), heal when you're hurt as soon as possible. In this phase, Soul is scarce, so I'd recommend using all of your Soul to heal as long as you are injured. Otherwise, use Descnending Dark to dodge attacks when she is on top of you (when you know she is using either Sword Burst or Laser Burst) to deal damage and see the pattern she is using. Afterwards you can freely get the Soul back during the I-frames if you do it right. Use Abyss Shriek when she is too far away for a Descending Dark/Shade Soul and you know you are safe to do so and are at full health. Use Shade Soul when she goes to the outer platforms. When positioned right, you can hit her twice. (Positioning is somewhere in line with her wings in height).
- In phase 5 (climb phase), go as fast yet safe as possible. Try to jump in the same rhythm as she shoots to have as much possible time to reposition if you're targeted. Also, never jump off of the side of the platforms (with Mantis Claw) when possible, since doing so locks you in a certain direction.
- In phase 6 (final phase), use a strategy on the left platform in which you normal dash to the left, double jump, then dash to right with Dash Slash. You need to dash left when an Light Orb comes after you and dash right afterwards. Charging the Nail Art should be done while falling down to the platform again. I'd recommend using the Shade Dash as your first dash, as the Light Orb that was chasing you will then go through you off screen and then disappear. Make sure to always have your Shade Dash back when you start the pattern. This pattern requires a bit of practise to get right, so I'd recommend practising this pattern a bit before you attempt P5. There are videos online that show this tactic in more detail than I can here.
You use this tactic instead of the normally better tactic of pogoing the Absolute Radiance because it requires 0 brainpower if you have the muscle memory, which is important because at the end of P5AB, you will likely be exhausted and be shaking due to adrenaline.
This trick can easily be practised by using the HKDebug mod, turning Infinite Health on and reducing nail damage to 0 upon reaching the final phase within the Hall of Gods.
- For the Beam Wall she does in the first 4 phases, go through it ASAP. When it reaches the middle of the arena, Absolute Radiance may start using another attack, which can lead to impossible patterns without Descending Dark, which will not always be available during P5AB. You should attempt to stay in the middle of the arena in the platforms phase, unless you are confident you can get easy hits.

For Markoth nail build isn’t so good. I think you should try spell build at least for the 2 part of p4.

My personal build is nearly the same as yours except the 2 notch is shape of unn and I don’t have a 3rd 3 notch so instead of unbreakable strength I use sprint master and maybe soul catcher or another 2 notch

Lemme give u advice . I have beaten p5 and i want to say EMBRACE THE SPELLS my favourites being d dark(i use 90 % of the time ) and abyss screech good for dmg values. Now if u dont know when to use them or forget to ise them change your layout or simply learn.
And remember when in doubt d dark as it attacks the opponent gives u i frames and makes u immune to dmg for some seconds.
I just did p5 all bindings (consecutively) and i cant believe that people actually use immunity glitches to do it no bindings? Dang bruh grow some🎱🎱
