@@WardenOfTerraHe usually gets runs first or second try, he had to practice for this one, come up with new strategies, make a new route etc. I don't know the exact amount of hours he spent, but taking into account he usually gets them in a 2-5h time frame, this one took 40+ hours

Mohg's Nihil attack is unavoidable with certain builds (like this one) so therefore it doesn't count as a hit on no hit runs. Even using the tear for it, you still take a small amount of damage. Gino was following Asmon's exact weapon upgrade level, talismans, strength, and no Mohg's shackle. He couldn't out-damage Mohg before Nihil with this build at the point Asmon fought him
i remember how in my first run i almost killed Mogh before he could go to phase 2 by using the shackle + the regalia of Eochaid skill with the right combo of talismans and golden vow.

Taking damage is not the same as a hit. Fall damage is not a hit and most enviromental damage isnt counted as a hit on no hit runs. Status based damage is also a bit weird since they are technically not hits, especially mogh's which are unavoidable without high enough dps.
If you can kill him before being hit dosent that mean he's failed I understand it's unavoidable damage but if you can kill him before the unavoidable damage....???

And Gino had the "harder" job because by the time he did this run the golden halberd was fixed unlike when asmon used it.
wow in that Malenia fight, he unlocks the camera at the perfect moment, moves a little, then re-locks the camera again to perfectly dodge all the hits

And he does the safe dodges on the first flurry.
The no camming on the third is his own preferences. There's loads of way to dodge waterfowl, due to simple combinatorics.
Lots of people just walk the 3rd one (and there's a bunch of ways to walk it).
I've yet to find a person use the gold shield indomitable. Immune damage from malenia. It's how I survive

Not really no, there's barely anything "authentic" about that, if we're talking about streamers. He's an entertainer like any other. Tons of people talk about their interests on stream, I'm not sure where you got that

Gino is insanely good, you can tell the hours he spent into learning the game and refining his skill.
Asmon is of course right in the path of exile mentality of stacking every possible bonus on one thing. Funnily enough it's a strategy that doesn't work as well in previous titles because with them it just wasn't possible to stack so many different bonuses, especially with active buffs overwriting each other.
Sad playing one game just to do the same thing over and over for hundreds of hours. Y'know what the definition of insanity is right?

The funny thing about the morgott fight is that even after they fixed the halberd scaling it only does like 60 less dmg per jump R2
Is there actually proof that the halberd scaling was bugged? I've never seen evidence, only rumors. People are saying it's not even true.

Honestly demon princes is such an underrated amazing boss fight. It's so cleverly designed, they are tanky as hell which makes it very hard to cheese them, yet despite being a double boss this one is just fair.
I'm so glad you're repping Gino, the actual legend! He deserves a massive following, great content, and the chillest guy!! Shout out Asmon!

@@crazytom7022 watch his channel. He's done a dozen of randomizer challenges. Also, item/boss randomizer is nothing special for Gino who's mastered no hitting every boss and with different weapon types
bruh, aggy's rando no hit is literally twice as hard as Gino's, Gino only randomized items, while aggy randomizes literally everything

Gino is god tier. Yes you can script fights and play bosses 500x to memorize everything - but the execution of being able to do that with 165 bosses, no hit every boss in the game. No hit every souls game in a run, etc. Insane
I mean it is impressive. But doing something and practicing something many times is eventually gonna make you good. The only way that doesn't apply is when you're not trying to be better each time you do something.

I think being talented just means you can be faster at achieving something. For example many best souls players or people started out badly and honestly played worse than normal players. But with more practice they were able to do it. Unless you have some type of ocular or brain disorder, I think with enough practice people could achieve simular results.
But unlike many of these challenge creators who use these as content, they have no motive to. Which is fine, different people enjoy the game differently. He's definitely talented, but it is still achievable if you really work towards it.

But I don't believe that just anyone can rise to the top with hard work only, (speaking more broadly than just gaming too) there are typically hundreds or thousands of people in any given discipline, vying for the top - and working hard is often not what separates them.
Maybe I'm just excusing my own failures though haha
@@sub.consciousnz1312 I think it is varied from person to person. But I'm just saying that in my experience. I went from not being able to kill Margit at all and almost refunding the game. To killing him with a dagger that did 27 damage per hit. The practice did help me alot.
I hated the elden beast fight for 1 reason. He would swim to the other side of the arena and when you got to him he would do it again and again
Wasnt this fixed at the earliest patches? After that update he would constantly use melee attacks more than trying to position away at 2km sniping at you, of course outside of his "Reset" during his HP drops since its mandatory stacked to his next moves. Guy would just keep resetting his position the faster his HP drops until the mandatory nuke rings. That was a pain since he really will keep running if the HP drop was slow but still abit fast.
@@bismarckimperia8781It was never fixed. I fought the Elden Beast a few months ago and it still kept running away to the other side of the arena all the time. Worst boss fight in history.

@@90bubbel60Lets. 80% of the "fight" is spent running towards the boss. Sounds like the ultimate anti-fun in a game centered around direct combat. Elden Beast is not a fight, it's a running simulation. And then you run out of stamina and the boss immediately hops to the other side. And then you run away from shiny golden rays. And then you run towards the boss again. So much fun...

That’s the beauty of elden ring. If you can’t beat a boss, go fight a different boss and come back stronger. Game can be beaten by even dummys this way.

Gino is an elden ring certified legend, the goat. From how little I've seen his content he can finish the game no hit with whatever build or weapon he likes. I think it's a huge honor that he chose to showcase asmon's build of all.
Watching someone just doing something at such a level of mastery, is my favorite thing to see. There is such nuance to this game that I love learning it all!

Reminds me of Castlevania SOTN. When you could eventually get The Shield Rod paired with the Alucard Shield. The Shield Rod activates special powers within the shield you have equipped. With the Alucard Shield equipped, the buff makes you invincible with life leech. You could walk into any mob or boss and they just get absorbed to death.
I remember using a similar build as soon as a had the strength to duel wield big weapons without fat rolling. I swapped off of it after a few hours because just staggering everything felt kinda boring. I really liked feeling like the boss fights were a duel. Where i had to duck and dive and weave in hits. It almost felt like I was the boss
I am so glad that Asmon saw this! I am playing Elden Ring now, and recently started watching Gino. This is awesome, and is a good appetizer for the upcoming DLC

My favorite duo fight in Elden Ring is the 2 Nights Calvaries in the Snowfield & unmounted btw. Them circling you on their mounts taking turns taking shots at you was hella fun to fight.

Asmon didn’t get the full appreciation of the fights because of this build. Seeing a bosses whole moveset and having it be a hard fight just feels right

Yeah. Like all he talks about how Morgott is so easy, and how in the world can someone die to him. Just come into the fight not overleveled and without OP weapons, then you see Morgott is such a cool and challenging boss

When I fought Radahn first time I didn't even know that there are summons. I don't know how it felt pre-nerf but now he is pretty easy even considering I was underleveled. And during all 7 NG+ I haven't lost to him ever again. The complete opposite are Godfrey and Mohg that were beaten first time in under 20 minutes but on NG+7 they both beat the shit out of me because every second attack is oneshot.

Yeah dual halberds are strong, especially Garg's and Golden Halberd. Used Golden Halberd to no-hit the Crucible Knight duo. I don't use powerstance halberds often because the jump attack is just so crazy strong.

100% agree, i expected this game to be the best game ever. every time i have high expectations for a game it disappoints. this was the first time i was really excited for a game and it exceeded my expectations

Been waiting for this to drop ever since Gino started the run. As strong as the build was, it was still one of his most challenging runs.
A great update would be to make magic damage get weaker the further it travels.
Tree sentinel is incredibly easy when you understand the delayed swings, and dont stand shield side too much

I tortured myself with greatsword only, strength build no summons. My version of fox only final destination no items.
almost 2 years since this masterpiece of a game came out and it still slaps every time Elden Ring will be a timeless classic just like the Mass Effect series
I used a quality build for my first playthough. It's the most approachable way (aside from cheesing as a mage I suppose) to get into the game. Well, for me anyway. I bet a strength/mix build wouldn't be too bad for a beginner either.
Bloodhound's Fang, Nightrider Glaive, and Celebrant Skull/Great Stars got me through the whole game. The bosses were easier than the Putrid Avatars and Caelid BB Hunter for me.
Malenia wasn't bad for me. With a faster weapon you can get her into the wall and repeatedly stagger her with heavy attacks before she can move.
Lies of P did an awesome job with more bosses at once. Especially that second fight with the brotherhood.
The Waterfowl Dance is almost like a pass-fail system.
I did a duel spear play through and it was load of fun, 10/10 my favorite game.
After I got the Omens Staff or whatever that does the bleed damage AOE I wrecked everything until the final boss of the game and had to switch to deaths poker.
Elden ring truly is one of the top 10 games of all time.

Holy shit I took 8 hours on Melaina I was taking breaks to keep from punching my monitor and 4 on the final boss with my samurai dex build and Uchigatana but I’m one of the few quadriplegics to beat the game with there mouth so I didn’t feel that bad until I saw rocky no hands walk through them but it was my first souls game I’m much better now

Honestly its just more satisfying using the summons on Radahn. Reason being, when else can you summon an entire army in any souls game? Lmao. Just having an army fighting alongside you is unique for the entire company of “From Soft”. Its one of those moments where you just take a second mid battle to really take in whats happening on screen.

I beat Renalla and Gideon on my first run without taking any damage using the Lordsworn Broadsword and Claymore power jumps.
I read online that they were difficult casters Bosses that I would have to fight a dozen times, but they have low poise, so I went ham and spiked them face first into the ground without ever letting up the pressure
I knew it was op back then as I watched how ez mode the game was for him, and now I am vindicated as well. Glad this video came out

Basically the build I was using except I went unga bunga dual Giant Crushers. It made the entire game and every boss trivial. To be honest hammers fuck up everything. Blunt/strike dmg is so good.

For people not familiar with the Soulsborne no-hit running scene, GinoMachino isn't just some no-hit runner. Gino is the Michael Jordan of no-hit running. He is regarded, unanimously, as the greatest no-hit runner in the world by his peers.
No damage runs always blow me away, Insanity or Nothing does some great ones on his channel, on hardest difficulties too o_O

"Sorcerer build is a joke/op/easymode" proceeds to kill one of the main bosses with 5 hits as melee.
Ive been waiting for asmon to react to the video as soon as gino put it out. Not dissapointed
waterfowl dance is a problem when you get vigor checked. By the time you flight her, you should have 50-60 vigor, you can tank at least 2 part of waterfowl dance, so you have room to learn how to dodge it. Most people can not learn this move due to not having enough vigor, so it is impossible to learn this move.
I remember asmongold struggling with Mogh, it was amazing stuff
The way you felt about Morgott is exactly how I felt about Maliketh. I didn't take a single hit from him and just played super aggressive. I'm pretty sure I bled him like 3 times in about 90 seconds and then had no idea why people thought he was so hard.
